Simon waited seven years for a kidney transplant, then found his donor had lived just a few miles away!
He suffered a number of health problems connected to diet and lifestyle but his kidneys failed at 33.
He is now an active campaigner for donation and has won many medals at the World Transplant Games.
Always a pleasure to have this inspiring, driven and determined free thinker on the old farm bus!
