Jesus is not a supplement to your life. He is the Source. In this episode, I share how to stop reaching for spiritual fillers that leave you thirsty, and how to live a steady, rooted life by abiding in Jesus every day, in every moment. In this episode, we finish the Rooted For Life series by returning to what is real: living water, deep roots, and a life that bears fruit through connection, not pressure. Here are the top points from this episode: Jesus is the true Source, and every substitute will leave you spiritually thirsty. Fillers promise relief, but they create more hunger and often leave you depleted. Keep it simple: prayer, Word, and worship are the foundation that sustains you. The deepest places in you were never meant to be satisfied by shallow wells. Abiding is not a scheduled moment, it is a way of living with Jesus in every part of your day. You can abide while working, folding laundry, making dinner, and living your normal life. Your circumstances do not have to hinder your fellowship with God. Striving produces burnout, but abiding produces fruit. Fruit grows from connection with Jesus, not pressure or performance. You can recognize maturity by fruit, and we are invited to keep growing in Christ over time. When you are rooted, you do not just survive, you provide shade for others. A life of generosity is part of the fruit that grows from being rooted in Jesus. I’m wildly cheering you! Redefine what flourishing really looks like with me in Rooted for Life Part 3. In this episode, we walk through the seasons of a grapevine to understand how God grows fruit in us, even when nothing seems to be happening. If you feel stuck, delayed, or confused, this message will help you name your season and keep your roots growing deep. Here are the top points from this episode: Flourishing is not just what people can see. It is obedience and faithfulness in God’s eyes. Every season has purpose, even the ones you would never choose. Winter can feel desolate, but it can be protection, preparation, and deeper rooting. Spring is fragile new growth, and it needs care and consistency to survive. Summer fruit is visible, but fruit that lasts is built in private, behind the scenes. Harvest includes crushing, and God can use the crushing to produce new wine through your life. Fruit of the Spirit is the fruit we are aiming for: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Growth is often unseen before it becomes visible, and seasons can last different lengths for different people. Psalm 92:12-14 reminds us that the Godly will flourish and still produce fruit even in old age. Proverbs 13:12 puts language to waiting: Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life. Colossians 2:7 is our anchor for the series: Let your roots grow down into Him and let your lives be built on Him. Generosity is part of being rooted.  Psalm 112:4 shows that light shines in the darkness through the generous, compassionate, and righteous. Generosity is not only finances. It is a way of living that brings light: encouragement, prayers, time, kindness, and meeting needs without needing credit. Reflection questions to process with Jesus. What season are you in, and what name would you give it? What emotion is this season evoking in you? How are you experiencing God right now, as soil, gardener, or pruner? Where are you in the season, beginning, middle, or nearing the end? Where do you sense God inviting you to grow deeper? I’m wildly cheering you! Friend, this interview is one I have been waiting to share with you. In this conversation, I sit down with Kathrine Lee to talk about the upcoming film Still Hope, releasing in theaters February 5th. This is not just a movie. It is a God story. Kathrine shares how the film came to life through an incredible chain of faith filled moments, connections that only the Lord could orchestrate, and a deep desire to bring both truth and healing to the screen. Here is a quick overview of the film. Still Hope follows a teenage girl named Hope who feels relatable to so many families. She is living a normal life, navigating the everyday world of being a teen, and like many young people, she assumes she is safe. Through deception and grooming, her life is turned upside down in a matter of moments. The film does not shy away from the reality of trafficking, but it is not designed to leave you in darkness. The second half of the movie is where something truly powerful happens: you begin to see the journey of restoration, redemption, healing, and the transformational power of forgiveness in its proper time. It is honest, it is trauma informed, and it is filled with hope. Kathrine also invites us into the heart behind Pure Hope Foundation and Pure Hope Ranch, a place that reflects so much of the healing model shown in the film. One of the most beautiful themes we talk about is this: we are hurt in community, but we also heal in community. There is something holy about safe people walking alongside someone as they reclaim their life. And you will see that woven throughout the story. My prayer is that when you walk out of the theater, you feel both awakened and strengthened. Awareness matters, but action is what creates change. This film can open meaningful conversations with your family, remind you that healing is possible, and invite you to be part of the solution in your own community. Still Hope is in theaters February 5th. You can watch the official trailer, find tickets, and access resources at stillhopemovie.com. And friend, if you believe stories like this need to be told, go see it and bring someone with you. Have you been striving just to survive spiritually, when Jesus is inviting you to thrive? In this Rooted for Life teaching, I share two weeds to beware of so you do not get choked out and lose your spiritual strength. Weeds can look harmless at first, but over time they steal your peace, your fruit, and your focus. We are grounding this message in Psalm 1:3. We are like trees planted by the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Our leaves do not have to wither, and we can prosper in all we do. This is the kind of life God wants for you. Steady, fruitful, and deeply rooted in Christ. Then we get practical. We talk about who you choose to be around most, and why your closest influences matter. We also talk about anything that distracts your relationship with Jesus. Weeds can be worries and daily pressures. They can be the deceitfulness of wealth and chasing what never satisfies. They can be pleasures and desires that slowly take priority over God’s will for your life. We also look at Acts 2 and how the early church grew strong roots through teaching, fellowship, shared meals, prayer, generosity, worship, and awe in God’s presence. This is not just a story of old. This is a picture of how you can live today when you build your life around the Word and around godly community. Here is my challenge for you this week. Release at least one weed. Ask yourself, what needs to go so Jesus can be first again? What grows in your life is what you make room for, and you can make room for more of Him. I’m wildly cheering you! Choosing a Word of the Year is one of the simplest ways to stay focused on Jesus and grow on purpose all year long. In this episode, I walk you through a practical, prayerful process to discover your word, anchor it in Scripture, and watch how God uses it to shape your year. In this episode, you will find: Why a Word of the Year matters: it becomes an anchor for your focus and a simple way to recognize God’s hand in your everyday life• My Word for 2026 is endurance, and how God gently revealed it to me during time in the Word• A key reminder: every word has a beautiful promise and a stretching place that will grow you• How revival starts with you: strengthen your spirit, pursue the Lord intentionally, and live as a life leader in every area of life• How God confirms your word: through prayer, Scripture, trusted conversations, and repeated nudges that keep showing up• Slow down and listen for the gentle whisper, like Elijah experienced in 1 Kings 19:12 to 13• A simple process to narrow it down: write a list, cross off what is not it, circle what keeps rising, and keep seeking until one stands out• Journal your word and why you chose it, then revisit it throughout the year so you can see the fruit and give God the glory• Use Scripture to strengthen your word, including Psalm 37:23, Habakkuk 2:2, and Jeremiah 29:13• Look up the definition of your word to expand your understanding and sharpen your prayers I’m wildly cheering you!  Alita Reynolds 🫶 GIVE HERE to support Women of Faith 📑 Alita’s Free Guide 📖 It’s a joy to have you join our Women of Faith Bible Study. Starting the year with prayer and fasting is one of the most powerful ways to realign your heart with God, hear His voice more clearly, and invite spiritual breakthrough. In this episode, I walk you through what fasting really is, how to do it biblically, and why it can transform your relationship with Jesus. Hi friends, welcome back to The Alita Reynolds Show. I am so thankful we get to begin this year together. I didn’t grow up fasting, and maybe you didn’t either, but once I discovered that Scripture teaches “when you fast,” it changed so much for me. In this episode, I share my journey with fasting and how it has helped me surrender my will, quiet distractions, and depend more fully on the Lord. Here are some of the key points we walk through together: • What prayer and fasting truly mean and why they belong together • Why the Bible emphasizes fasting and how God uses it to bring clarity • How fasting helps shift us from flesh-led to Spirit-led living • What a 21 day corporate fast looks like and how to personalize it • Different fasting approaches, from food-related fasts to removing distractions • Why grace, intention, and humility matter more than perfection • Biblical examples of fasting that show God’s faithfulness in seasons of seeking Him • Practical ways to prepare mentally, spiritually, and physically • How journaling helps capture breakthroughs and spiritual insight • Why community and Bible study make the journey stronger and richer Whether this is your very first fast or you’ve done many before, I believe this episode will encourage you and give you practical steps to begin. And if you want deeper support and fellowship, I invite you to join our Women of Faith Bible Study as we walk through this season together. Hey sweet friends! Run with Endurance is a powerful reminder that faith is not a sprint. It is a daily, intentional walk of fixing our eyes on Jesus and staying faithful to what truly matters. In this episode, we talk about how endurance is built long before it is needed and why your quiet obedience today prepares you for what God is calling you into tomorrow. In this episode I share why the Lord placed such a strong emphasis on endurance and stamina in my own life and how Hebrews 12 calls us to run our race with perseverance. Endurance is not about pushing harder in our own strength. It is about clarity, focus, and agreeing with God that the mission matters. When the mission matters, effort becomes worship. We talk about how endurance is formed in the unseen places through consistent time with God, prayer, and obedience. Momentum in faith rarely comes from big moments. It grows through the quiet, daily choices that deepen our roots in Christ. I also unpack what scripture calls parasitic sins and how small distractions and compromises can drain our spiritual strength faster than major storms if we do not address them. This episode also reframes discipline. God’s discipline is not punishment. It is training. He disciplines those He loves because He is preparing us for maturity and a peaceful harvest of right living. Endurance grows when we allow God to remove what weighs us down so we can run lighter and freer. Finally, we talk about why your endurance matters beyond you. Your faithfulness becomes courage for someone else. When you keep running, you lead the way. Endurance carries you from calling to completion and helps you live a life that is pleasing to the Lord. In this episode, I had the incredible opportunity to speak with Lee Strobel, renowned author and former atheist journalist, best known for his book "The Case for Christ." While we touched on the profound impact of "The Case for Christ," our main focus was on his latest project, "The Case for Miracles." Lee shared his personal journey from atheism to faith, highlighting how his quest to disprove Christianity led him to discover the love of Jesus. We discussed the upcoming film adaptation of "The Case for Miracles," which will be shown in theaters as a Fathom event from December 15th to 18th. Lee described the film as a powerful exploration of modern-day miracles, supported by solid medical documentation and multiple eyewitness accounts. One of the most moving stories Lee shared was about Barbara Snyder, who experienced a miraculous healing from multiple sclerosis after being prayed for by over 450 people. This story, among others, underscores the film's message that God is still in the miracle business today. We also delved into the topic of unanswered prayers and the sovereignty of God. Lee shared his personal experience with his wife's chronic pain and emphasized that while not all prayers for healing are answered in this life, God can bring good out of our suffering. This episode is a must-listen for anyone interested in the intersection of faith and evidence, and I highly recommend watching "The Case for Miracles" to witness these incredible stories firsthand. Thank you, Lee, for your dedication to documenting and sharing these powerful testimonies. Check out "The Case For Miracles" film.
Hey sweet friends!  In this final episode of our Renewed Mind series, we look closely at what it means to live each day with a mind aligned to God’s Word. God calls us to believe every sentence in Scripture and to allow truth to move from intellectual knowledge into deep heart transformation. When our minds are renewed to the spirit of our mind, we live in the fullness Jesus offers and learn to trust His promises with confidence. We walk through five powerful points that shape a renewed mindset.  God desires to bless what we put our hands to. He blesses what we build, what we steward, and what we work at, not only what we pray for. We see that God loves diligence and faithfulness, and He calls us to focus our efforts on what carries eternal impact. We look at the power to get wealth and explore how God multiplies what we release and sow rather than what we withhold. We also talk about generosity as a lifestyle. From sowing seed to tithes and offerings, Scripture reveals God’s heart to pour out blessing as we obey His Word. We examine what it means to sow with trust, to avoid robbing God, and to believe His promise to open the floodgates of heaven. Generosity becomes a joyful response when our minds are fully renewed in Christ. Top points from this episode:• Renew your mind to every sentence of Scripture• God blesses what you put your hands to• Stewardship requires action and obedience• Identify what has eternal value and pursue that• God multiplies what you release, not what you keep• A lifestyle of generosity invites God’s abundant provision Thank you for being part of this journey toward a renewed mind and a deeper walk with Jesus. Hey sweet friends!  Discover five practical ways to truly live with a renewed mind every day. This episode takes you beyond concepts and into the real-life moments where your thoughts try to spiral, offering the tools you need to return to peace, truth, and freedom again and again. Here are some of the top points from this episode:• Renewal is not automatic. It is experienced as we return to truth one faithful moment at a time.• You do not have to live with anxiety. Scripture clearly invites us to pray instead of worry and cast all our cares on the Lord.• Depression is not your destiny. Joy grows when you give it away, and a renewed mind shifts the focus from self to God and others.• Sleeping well is biblical. God promises sound sleep, peace, and safety, and we can renew our minds to receive that blessing.• Faithfulness is the bridge from promise spoken to promise fulfilled. Character keeps doors open long after talent gets you through them.• Freedom from guilt, shame, and condemnation is your inheritance in Christ. If God does not remember your sin, you can stop remembering it too. As always, I encourage you to take time with the Lord after listening. Ask Him what areas of your mind He is inviting you to renew, where strongholds need to come down, and how He wants to lead you into deeper freedom. Hey sweet friends! Fear does not have to define your life! In this episode of The Alita Reynolds Show, we uncover both daily and deeper fears and learn how renewing the mind leads us into lasting peace. If you have ever wondered why certain fears linger or how to break free, this conversation offers practical steps and biblical truth to help you move forward with confidence. We take an honest look at how fear quietly weaves into our thoughts and choices. I share my own experience with living under fear, what Scripture teaches about a sound mind, and how fixing your thoughts on what is true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, and worthy of praise transforms everything. We walk through common daily fears like flying, illness, driving, and being alone, as well as deeper fears such as failure, rejection, loss, criticism, inadequacy, and the unknown. You will learn how to recognize fear’s influence, how to take thoughts captive through truth and prayer, and how to discern the difference between healthy caution and paralyzing fear. I also share the Umpire Analogy and Wave Analogy to help you guard your thoughts in real time, plus the power of morning mindset statements anchored in Scripture. And we look at the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego as a reminder that you do not have to carry the smell of the fear you have walked through. You can carry the aroma of Christ instead. My hope is that this episode strengthens your confidence, renews your thinking, and helps you walk in the peace Jesus freely gives. You truly can live with a renewed mind. I’m wildly cheering you! The Key to Living in Victory: A Renewed Mind Are you ready to experience true victory in Jesus? In this episode of The Alita Reynolds Show, Alita invites you into a powerful conversation about how renewing your mind transforms your life, your peace, and your purpose. Discover what it means to think like Christ and unlock the fullness of what He’s already accomplished for you. In this teaching, Alita walks through six foundational truths that reveal how your thought life determines your victory: * Victory flows from a renewed mind—not your circumstances. * The power of your thoughts—what’s in your heart eventually shapes your words and life. * The treasure chest analogy—how a renewed mind unlocks everything Jesus has already paid for. * Guarding your house—understanding your body, soul, and spirit, and protecting the soul where the battle rages. * The real battlefield—how to take every thought captive and make it obedient to Christ. * Living daily in renewal—why renewing your mind is a continual, life-giving process. You’ll learn how to guard your heart, walk in stability and peace, and live free from the lies of the enemy. This episode lays the foundation for walking in the victorious life that Jesus intended—one renewed thought at a time. I’m wildly cheering you! Discover the true source of lasting joy and how to live it out every single day. In this episode of The Alita Reynolds Show, I share the great “secret” of joy that isn’t really a secret at all but a life-changing truth you can experience right now. Together we walk through Luke 10:17–20 and uncover why Jesus tells us not to rejoice in temporary victories but in the eternal truth that our names are written in heaven. I open up about seasons when I felt joyless and how God revealed that joy doesn’t come from results but from relationship with Him. Here are some of the key points we dive into in this episode: • The great secret of joy is not what we do for God but what He has already done in us • Joy flows from being a disciple and living as a vessel of His work • Celebrate redemption because Jesus has already saved us and secured our eternity • Identify and release barriers that steal your joy such as bitterness, disappointment, distraction, and despair • Live with overflowing joy that is visible to others and influences them toward Christ I also share personal stories, including the joy of becoming a grandmother and the incredible moments of seeing lives committed to Christ. Most of all, this episode will encourage you to trust God’s plans, surrender your burdens, and live with a heart that overflows with joy in every season. I’m wildly cheering you!
