New subscriber. I enjoy the podcast and really like the selection of texts. However, I had a huge problem with (primarily Gary's) historical takes, and thought that the presenters really missed a lot of nuance with this text. In a book largely about propaganda and historical amnesia it is supremely ironic to compare the final scene of AF (where the pigs transform into humans and cheat at poker) to the Tehran Conference. That's just a bad take; politically loaded and complete non-sense ! AF was published 8/17/43, the Tehran Conference 12/01/43. Presenters had no sense of the MORALITY of the book.
