After a bit of a life update (ie. homeschooling no more and losing one of our dogs), this episode is PACKED full of helpful tidbits about progesterone. Progesterone is the hormone that shows up in our luteal phase, and when we aren't making enough it can look like luteal-phase spotting, crazy mood swings, and miscarriages. I've dealt with chronically low progesterone for over a decade and it's been showing up more than usual lately. Listen in to hear 3 main causes for low progesterone and exactly what I'm doing to really dial in and support my body, especially during my luteal phase.
My next steps may not be the same as the steps your body needs to find hormonal balance. Reach out on IG (@mlbfamilywellness) to tell me a bit about what's going on with your hormones and I'll give you some recommendations for your next step.
I also offer 1-, 3-, and 6-month private coaching if you are struggling with hormonal issues like stalled weight loss, mood swings, fatigue, and period problems. Grab your spot here.
Some people will say syncing with the moon is BS and that it's just a coincidence when women sync up with the moon because the average menstrual cycle is about the same length as the moon cycle (29.5 days). I disagree. In the modern world, we are becoming more and more disconnected from nature and ourselves, but I think it’s no coincidence that our menstrual cycle and the moon cycle are the same length. There are also thousands of years of culture and myths and legends that tie the menstrual cycle with the moon cycle. Many ancient religions held fertility festivals at the time of the new moon - which is the energy that aligns with the fertile ovulation phase.
In this episode I'll give you the three steps I took to sync my cycle with the moon, which you can try, too! We'll also explore a little bit about the Red Moon cycle and the White Moon cycle and what they mean.

Not cycling? No problem! You can follow the moon. The moon is powerful enough to affect the oceans and the tides, so you bet it's going to affect you! But, when I start talking about syncing with the moon phases women are often confused about the different phases, how to track them, and what they mean. I know I had a bit of a learning curve, too! After listening to this episode, you'll understand the what each of the 8 main phases of the moon mean, what are the 4 main phases to pay attention to, and how to track them in the most simple way.

During your ovulatory phase, your estrogen & testosterone are at their peak - you're energy is high but your metabolism is low. That means you might be less hungry, you'll probably be craving fresh produce, and now is a great time to max out your strength training & cardio. Listen in to hear how to support your body during ovulation phase with nutrition, movement, mindfulness, and rest.
