Ep. 946 - Twelve times they’ve played against each other. Sunday will be No. 13 between Budda Baker and George Kittle. It’s one of the many storylines here in Week 11, when the San Francisco 49ers visit State Farm Stadium. Craig Grialou and Zach Gershman look ahead to the game, one the Cardinals would love to win for many reasons: help move past what happened in Seattle, split the season series with the 49ers, pick up their first division victory, and then - and maybe most importantly - teams always want to protect home field. The Cardinals have not played at home in almost a full calendar month. Plus, Craig and Zach talk with Matt Maiocco, who covers the 49ers for NBC Sports Bay Area. He joins the show to discuss a returning Brock Purdy among other Niners topics.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Ep. 742 - Former Cardinals running back Marcel Shipp joined Paul Calvisi and Ron Wolfley at Flanker Kitchen and Sports Bar on the Great Lawn at State Farm Stadium to break down how the Big Red can bounce back from their tough loss in Seattle. Linebacker Cody Simon also sat down with Calvisi to reflect on his first professional start, discuss how the NFL differs from his days at Ohio State, and share what he’s learning from veterans like Budda Baker and Calais Campbell. Plus, a preview of Sunday’s NFC West matchup against the 49ers at State Farm Stadium.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Ep. 945 - First it was Zay Jones. Then Simi Fehoko. And now Marvin Harrison Jr. All three will miss this week’s game. (By the way, Jones will miss the rest of the season, while Fehoko is sidelined for at least four games.) So, it’s next man up in the wide receiver room. Craig Grialou and Dani Sureck discuss who’s in line to start and who’s in line to see more playing time. Receiver, though, is not the only position room dealing with injuries. The Cardinals held a walk-through rather than practice on Wednesday because of how banged up the team is after the loss at Seattle. Injuries, though, present opportunity. Also, Craig and Dani talk about the play of Darius Robinson, Zaven Collins and what the defense can expect from a Kyle Shanahan-coached offense on Sunday.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Reality shows? Is this really what Paul Calvisi has brought us here to talk about? Well, kind of. But Paul brings in Darren Urban and Dani Sureck for a lot of other stuff too, like which way the Cardinals turn after a hard day in Seattle, the craziness of the 2025 NFL season, what happened up front on both sides of the ball against the Seahawks, a Getting Cultured with A-Rod, Trey McBride and all the nicknames he deserves, the emotions of the team, a wipeout Wise Guy, more injuries before the Niners visit, and a Winning Behavior that includes a fascinating way one father tried to get his son off video games.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
It was a tough loss for the Arizona Cardinals up in the Pacific Northwest. The Cardinals battled, but were not able to overcome an early hole and lost to the Seahawks 44-22. Craig Grialou, Paul Calvisi and former Cardinals linebacker Lorenzo Alexander break down what happened in Seattle both offensively and defensively; Two strip sacks of Jacoby Brissett led to 14 early points for Seattle; the Cardinals' defense struggled against the run; and Trey McBride continues to thrive for the Arizona offense. Plus, the guys look ahead to another divisional matchup as the San Francisco 49ers visit State Farm Stadium in Week 11.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Ep. 944 - After the loss on Sunday, head coach Jonathan Gannon made it clear. “At the end of the day, nothing good from that game, and it falls on me,” he told reporters. Very little went right for the Cardinals. They fell behind early - 35-0 just six minutes into the second quarter - and just could not dig themselves out of the hole. Craig Grialou and Paul Calvisi look back at the 44-22 loss, focusing a lot on the line of scrimmage; the offensive line struggled to protect Jacoby Brisssett and the defensive line found it difficult to slow down Sam Darnold and company. The guys do find a couple of positives: 1) the play of Trey McBride and 2) the bounce back of Emari Demercado, who earned this week’s Angry Bird Award.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Dave Pasch and A.Q. Shipley provide instant reaction to the Cardinals 44-22 loss to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 10 at Lumen Field. Plus, Paul Calvisi conducts exclusive locker room interviews with tight end Elijah Higgins and head coach Jonathan Gannon.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Ep. 943 - First, playing in Seattle is always difficult. Second, there may be no NFC team playing better than the Seahawks. So, yeah, it’s going to be a tough test on Sunday, which became much tougher with the Friday news that three defensive starters - Mack Wilson Sr., Max Melton and Will Johnson - will not play because of injury. Craig Grialou and Zach Gershman, the award-winning Zach Gershman by the way - don’t worry it’s explained during the show - discuss how the Cardinals may handle the absence of Mack, Max and Will. Later, Craig and Zach head into enemy territory. They are joined by John Boyle, senior reporter for Seahawks-dot-com, to further break down the second matchup of the season between the two teams.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Ep. 741 - The Cardinals head into Week 10 with a 3-5 record but plenty of momentum after a dominant Monday Night Football win over the Cowboys. Former Cardinals wide receiver Frank Sanders joined Paul Calvisi and Ron Wolfley at Flanker Kitchen and Sports Bar on the Great Lawn at State Farm Stadium to discuss Jacoby Brissett taking over as starter for the injured Kyler Murray, Marvin Harrison Jr.’s development, and the impressive debut of top draft pick Walter Nolen III. Wide receiver Michael Wilson also sat down with Calvisi to talk about his growing role in the offense, life as a new father, and how playing ping pong has helped his game. The show wraps up with a preview of Sunday’s NFC West matchup against the Seahawks.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Ep. 942 - Breaking news on a Wednesday: The Arizona Cardinals placed starting quarterback Kyler Murry on injured reserve. Having already missed three games, Murray will now miss four more, at least four more as he deals with a foot issue. Craig Grialou and Zach Gershman discuss what the move means for Murray - he needs to get healthy, according to head coach Jonathan Gannon - as well as what the decision now means for Jacoby Brissett, who has operated the offense very well as the starter over the past three games. Also, Craig and Zach highlight the 2025 Draft Class, beginning with first-round pick Walter Nolen III, for their roles in the win over the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
The Cardinals showed that during the bye, they may have learned how to finish, on their way to an important win over the Cowboys. Paul Calvisi, Darren Urban and Dani Sureck serve up their thoughts on the victory, how the defense looked its best of the season, if they would ever bail on a movie before it is over, the huge debut of Walter Nolen III (and the ageless greatness of Calais Campbell), the crucial return of Garrett Williams, a frustrating (for Paul) Getting Cultured, the QB question and Jacoby Brissett earning the starting job for now, MHJ’s jump, a tight Wise Guy, the big night from the rookie class, the impact of Emari Demercado, and AQ Shipley’s Winning Behavior.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
The Cardinals ended their five-game losing streak with an impressive 27-17 road victory over the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football. There were standout performances across the board, from pass rushers Josh Sweat and Calais Campbell to receivers Marvin Harrison Jr. and Trey McBride. Quarterback Jacoby Brissett also turned in another strong outing, as nearly everyone contributed to the win. Craig Grialou, Paul Calvisi, and former Cardinals linebacker Rob Fredrickson break down how the Big Red pulled off the victory in Big D. Plus, rookie defensive lineman Walt Nolen III made a strong impression in his NFL debut, showing signs that he could be a key piece of the Cardinals’ defensive line in the future.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Dave Pasch and A.Q. Shipley provide instant reaction to the Cardinals 27-17 win over the Dallas Cowboys in Week 9 on Monday Night Football at AT&T Stadium in Arlington. Paul Calvisi conducts exclusive locker room interviews with quarterback Jacoby Brissett and defensive lineman Calais Campbell. Plus, Pasch and Shipley speak exclusively with head coach Jonathan Gannon.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Ep. 941 - There may be no better place for Kyler Murray to make his return than AT&T Stadium, where he has never lost in eight games as a starting quarterback; and that covers high school, college, and the NFL. If Murray does start - head coach Jonathan Gannon said they’re preparing for just that - against the Dallas Cowboys on ‘Monday Night Football,’ then that may be just the shot in the arm the Cardinals need to begin to dig themselves out of their 2-5 hole. Murray’s return might not be the only return. Craig Grialou and Zach Gershman discuss the possibility of both Garrett Williams and Walter Nolen III playing this week. Also, Kyle Youmans, TV host/reporter for dallascowboys-dot-com, joins the show to further preview the matchup.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Ep. 740 - Cardinals legend Adrian Wilson joined Paul Calvisi and Ron Wolfley at Flanker Kitchen and Sports Bar on the Great Lawn at State Farm Stadium to discuss playing after a bye week, competing under the lights of Monday Night Football, and what Kyler Murray’s return could mean for the offense. Wilson also reflected on the Cardinals’ magical 2008 Super Bowl run. Rookie Will Johnson talked with Calvisi about his first NFL season, his confidence, and how his 2025 NFL Draft snub continues to fuel him.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Ep. 940 - Coming off the bye week, yes, changes have been made. Minor changes. Some tweaks. Nothing major or dramatically different. That’s what we’ve heard from coaches and players leading into the game at the Dallas Cowboys. And that’s about all we’ve heard. No specifics. That’s OK, because Craig Grialou and Dani Sureck did get into specifics; ideas that they have that may help the team dig itself out of a 2-5 hole. For example, a more efficient run game (which has been a season-long topic). And then Craig and Dani discuss what a soon-to-be returning Garrett Williams may mean for the defense. Following that discussion, stay tuned to hear what Dani and the Sureck Family are dressing up as for Halloween.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Paul Calvisi’s timbre is struggling, and so too might be these attempts at dog names our titanic trio consider. But Paul, Darren Urban and Dani Sureck are back from the bye to discuss the 10-game final stretch of the season. That starts with a trip to Dallas and a return - we think - of Kyler Murray at quarterback, as well as the potential of Walter Nolen III maybe making a comeback, Getting Cultured with all y’all, Budda and JT and roles if Garrett Williams returns, the hellacious Cowboys offense and how to deal, BJ Ojulari finally getting his practice window opened, another Wise Guy, the NFL’s loss of Cam Skattebo, the attrition of the league, Ravens coming back from 2-5 and what the Cardinals could still do at 2-5, and revisiting summer bold predictions (yikes.)See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Think there is a lot of fans who are cautiously reserved about 2019 season (after the chosen Rozen fiasco) but hopefully Wolfe is right about the schemes and offensive upgrades.
