In this episode, Conner and Trey talk with Ty Blankenship. Ty is one of the most consistent hunters you probably have not heard of. Ty manages to fill tags or tag out every year on a variety of animals in a variety of ways. Recently, Ty harvested Oklahoma whitetail and mule deer bucks and two bucks in Arkansas. On top of that, he has tagged out several years before and after that deer hunting and even including DIY elk hunts. In this episode, we pick the brain of an early season specialist! There are several important takeaways in this one! We talk with Ethan Escue of West Virginia about what he does to be successful when finding and harvesting mature bucks in hill country. Ethan has been able to consistently tag mature bucks in early season due to his persistent scouting methods and his desire to find mature whitetails. He has also been able to use these strategies in other parts of the country.
