Episode 78 - Relief

2024-05-0801:05:32

The 23/24 season comes to a satisfying close, as Queen's Park get the required win over Airdrie to secure our Championship status for a third successive season. David, Enzo and Calum relive the game on Friday night, as well as briefly discussing the season on a whole and what they plan to do with their spare time in the comings weeks. To end the episode, we have drama as our predictions league comes down to a tie-breaker with guest pundit/QP stats guru Gregor on the phone to give the answer!
It's Groundhog Day for Queen's Park, as once again we have a final game showdown in the Scottish Championship, although this time it's to survive rather than win it. Before David, Enzo and Calum talk about the massive game this Friday against Airdrie (with some pretty miserable stats), there is another big win over Arbroath to discuss as the Spiders get back to finding the back of the net in style at the best possible time.
The guys are back to recap the 0-0 draw against Dunfermline where we seen a host of line-up changes and unfortunately, no goals. We cover the latest goings on around the club and preview our second last league game of the season against Arbroath where we hopefully (!!) start to see a change in fortune.
David, Enzo and Calum are back once again this week with the good and the bad of Queen's Park FC! On the back of securing the SWPL2 title at the weekend, Enzo spoke to QP Women's manager Craig Joyce and David spoke to club captain Ellie Kane on a fantastic season (so far!) and what lies ahead for them both. Unfortunately though, the good times can't last and we have to look back at a dreadful result & performance against ICT for the men's team, before looking ahead to this weekends trip to Dunfermline, the first of three "cup finals" to end the league campaign.
Calum, David, and Enzo review a very disappointing performance against Dundee United, before looking ahead to Queen's Park Women's chances at clinching the SWPL2 league title, and another massive game this coming Saturday at Hampden when Caley Thistle come to visit.
It's not quite clear who had the worst weekend between the three of us, with David & Enzo taking in another defeat in Greenock and Calum not getting nearly enough warning on a perilous trip into the forests of his current home country of Malawi. A brief moan about the latest loss, before more positive of one confirmed and another imminent league title for Queen's Park, before looking ahead to the potentially daunting prospect of Dundee United at Hampden.
A comfortable win over Ayr United is the main topic of conversation this week, a massive win for the league table and one where the score more than flattered the opponent. A quick news round-up following up on points raised last week, before looking ahead to this coming Saturday and previewing Morton away, and surely it will be eighth time lucky?
David, Enzo and Calum are back again to discuss a nail-biting 0-0 draw against Raith, the latest news from around the club, and our thoughts on the (huge) upcoming game against Ayr.
Calum, David, and Enzo discuss whether Saturday's draw against Partick Thistle should be considered a point gained or two dropped. We also recap all the news around the club, as well as a couple of upcoming events worth attending, before looking forward to another massive game at Hampden this week when Raith Rovers come to visit.
Another week, another podcast and Calum is back with David & Enzo after a week off to move to the other side of the world! Thankfully though he was able to stream the 1-1 draw away to Airdrie and is able to give us his take on the game. In an otherwise relatively quiet week, we discuss QP Women's latest point in SWPL2 which sees them get even closer to lifting the league title. Finally, it's a look ahead to this coming weekend, and the visit of Partick Thistle to Hampden Park.

David and Enzo are joined by guest pundit Gregor, filling in for big brother Calum, to discuss a positive performance despite defeat away to Dundee United before enjoying a recap of the 6-0 pumping of Arbroath. We also round up the latest news around the club, including another big win for QP Women, and Gregor gives us some insight into his work with the QP Foundation. Finally, it's a look ahead to Airdrie away, an opponent we haven't beat in 90 minutes in a frighteningly long time...
Calum, David, and Enzo sit down for an in-person episode (with a fair few drinks) to discuss the goalless draw against Morton at Hampden, while begrudgingly admitting that they're good at what they do, as well as looking forward to Queen's Park's upcoming visit to Tannadice.
The guys are back to discuss a triumphant week for all things Queen's Park. We cover the 3-0 win away to Dunfermline, QP Women winning by 12 (TWELVE), alongside our usual match preview and news round up. It's looking ominously optimistic all of a sudden...
The Spiders return from Inverness with another win over the Highland side, in a game that will go down in history as one that took place, so there's not too much for the boys to get into apart from the usual good feeling a win brings. Instead, we take a look at the January transfer window incomings and outgoings, and we hear from Matt from the Holding The High Line on what Danny Wilson has meant to Colorado Rapids for the last five years, and what we can expect him to bring to QP. Finally, as always we look ahead to the next game, which this week is the third attempt to take on Dunfermline at East End Park.
David, Enzo and Calum are back after a short break due to the Dunfermline game falling foul to the weather. Unfortunately it's not a happy return as we have to review the 2-1 defeat to Ayr United from last Saturday. We briefly manage to talk about some better things, like the latest QP Womens result, before it's back to worrying as we have our transfer deadline wishlist and a look ahead to the trip to Inverness this weekend.
Join us for a misery free episode (well, nearly) as we happily reflect on the start of the 'Davolution' with a comeback win vs Raith, all the latest news and gossip around the club, alongside previewing our next match against a depleted Dunfermline side.
There has been plenty going on around Queen's Park recently, and we sit down this week to discuss it all! From the defeat at Firhill to finally winning a game on Friday night against Dunfermline, to Leanne Dempster's departure from the club and Callum Davidson being announced as new head coach, we've got you covered.
The boys are back after a break over Christmas, the day after a brutal injury-time winner for Airdrie in the latest Championship match, which may have had an effect on our morale going into this one. Plenty of games to talk about, a look at 2023 as a whole for the mens team, but finally a little bit of good news as we also discuss QP Women's season so far and the upcoming Scottish Cup game at Lesser Hampden.
Calum, David and Enzo are back with a bumper episode. We briefly skim through the loss to Inverness before delving into the exciting, and quite frankly scary, potential managerial appointments that might be possible after Veldman's departure. We also preview this coming Saturday's massive game away to Morton.
There may have been no game last week, but that doesn't mean there's nothing to discuss. David, Enzo and Calum are back to cover the big talking point of Director of Football Marijn Beuker leaving to take up a similar role at Dutch giants Ajax. They also discuss long time QP man Gardner Speirs leaving the club, before turning their attention to a potentially massive game against Inverness this Saturday.
