Alan Frow // Joshua 8 ESVCommunity Group Discussion Questions:1) Israel experienced God’s discipline in defeat but that discipline led to victory as God redirected them. Tell of a time when you experienced God’s discipline that resulted in your good. (Heb 12:5)2) Israel had to flee from Ai in order to win the battle. This was counter intuitive and describes the way in which we often experience victory in God’s kingdom . In what ways have you felt like you are ‘losing’ as you follow Jesus ? How has that resulted in victory?3) Contrast the King of Ai hanging from a tree with what Gal 3:13 says about Jesus hanging from a tree.
