The FA Cup holders are given a seemingly benign 3rd round draw against Stockport County, who used to have the closest football ground to the River Mersey don't you know.Right back is becoming a problem position with Earl Barrett injured, and Matt Jackson unfancied, so some midfielders and a young centre half fill in admirably while we wait 7 (seven) weeks for Marc Hottiger's work permit to get faxed.Joe, maybe it was a sign. This episode is in association with The Excelsior. LISTEN IN FULL: https://tinyurl.com/3bv5288n After the worst week so far at Hill Dickinson Stadium, Matt is joined by Adam and Foxy to assess the damage. With Paddy still absent - last spotted in a Noosa drinking spot - Matt is joined by the Liverpool Echo’s Everton correspondent Joe Thomas this week. We assess where the defeat to Sunderland leaves the team. Keep powder dry for the summer? Or chips in in the transfer market in the race for a European place? The new fourth kit is also on the agenda. Should Everton play in anything other than royal blue at home? What could have been a memorable week of football that saw Everton move up the table and progress in the FA Cup has turned out to be a disaster. On the pitch, the team looks devoid of ideas and players lack confidence, and the manager is once again dampening expectations. Off the pitch, some fans are struggling to adapt to the new surroundings, and the club released a navy and pink that will only be synonymous with another early FA Cup exit. The timing of the (let's face it, needless) fourth kit couldn't have been worse, given comments from Tom Beahon, co-founder of Castore, who last week said: "We live in a capitalist society [not entirely true], if people couldn't afford it, those prices wouldn't be charged." Les and Dave go in on all that and those horrific penalties. We'd love to know your thoughts on it all. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

Absolutely bollocks from Lescott! I was at Uni at the time in Walsall, I popped in for a beer after the FA Cup final and was told by his old man that he was going to City??? He knew he was going - what a complete shithouse!
