Everton will play their 7th Monday night game of the season in May. It affects travel plans, enjoyment, and if we look at the stats, it could be affecting results, too.Is it time for fans to get together and take a stand against the ridiculous scheduling of matches? Or are we too tribal to ever really come together for a common cause? An FSA poll has found that 75% of football fans don't support the use of VAR, with 92% agreeing it's removed the spontaneous joy of goal celebrations. Should its use at least be rolled back, as it currently feels more like video refereeing than video assistance. And there's the small matter of this weekend's European six-pointer at Brentford. International break means Matt and Paddy turn to your questions. There are two main themes this week - Roma and Moyes’ contract. Do we know what will happen if the Blues and the Giallorossi both qualify for the same UEFA competition? Do we need more clarification?  After reports of a new contract for Moyes, is a new deal really close? And would it be worth keeping him if there has to be any compromise around recruitment? We also look at the coaching staff, Tim Iroegbunam’s future and potential forward arrivals in the summer. 🤝 NORD VPN DEAL Get our black Friday exclusive deal: Big savings + 4 months extra: https://nordvpn.com/blueroom ➕ BLUE ROOM EXTRA Get exclusive content and all of our podcasts ad-free when you sign up to Blue Room Extra: https://tinyurl.com/yc83x2zh 📩 EMAIL Get in touch with Matt and Paddy for questions, comments and enquires at evertonbyline@gmail.com 📸 LAURA GATES PHOTOGRAPHY Get a discount when using code ‘TBR25’ at checkout Learn more about your ad choices. A convincing win against Chelsea means Everton enter the business end of the season just three points off fifth and possible Champions League qualification, and with massive games coming up at Brentford and home to Liverpool next month (and, to coin a cliche, three cup finals at home). How many points will Everton need to finish in Europe? And would you take Europa Conference or Europa League over Champions League? Let us know your thoughts. Learn more about your ad choices. Welcome back to the Deep Blue Dive Podcast, in the Blue Room, with Steve Dickinson and Becky Tallentire. In this week’s episode, we look back on the 2017/18 season.  After sacking Ronald Koeman in late October, Farhad Moshiri panicked and brought in relegation specialist, Sam Allardyce and his side-kick, Sammy Lee. What would the Goodison faithful make of Sam and Sammy in the dugout? Would Moshiri allow Big Sam to splash the cash in the January 2018 transfer window? Would Allardyce keep the Blues in the top flight for one more season, and if he did would he be given a chance to rebuild the club?  Join Steve and Becky for the highs - and the lows - of The Sam Allardyce Era, in this Thursday’s Deep Blue Dive, in the Blue Room. Staying at an average club did he really expect to win trophys staying at Everton? He missed his boat when he was wanted by united. You didn't see rooney waste anytime leaving cuz rooney always wanted trophys...

Absolutely bollocks from Lescott! I was at Uni at the time in Walsall, I popped in for a beer after the FA Cup final and was told by his old man that he was going to City??? He knew he was going - what a complete shithouse!
