DEPLOY/US Vice President Alex Bozmoski discusses the origins and evolution of the EcoRight movement over the years.
DEPLOY/US VP Alex Bozmoski on the growth of the EcoRight since joining at its inception.
Alex Bozmoski reflects on host Chelsea Henderson's weekly "Week En Review" Friday email update that is about to turn 10 years old this fall.
If you’re a member of the EcoRight, today’s guest needs no introduction. Alex Bozmoski is the heart of the EcoRight; he’s the fertilizer; he’s the one ensuring its growth. But in case you're new to Alex, he is a 20-year veteran of energy and climate policy, and, as alluded to, has spent more than 13 years focusing on building the Ecoright field. Prior to DEPLOY/US, he co-founded republicEn.org, a community of EcoRight libertarians and conservatives advancing climate action rooted in free enterprise. He previously developed clean-energy projects in East Africa, consulted for think tanks, authored peer-reviewed articles, worked on several GOP campaigns, and designed and facilitated e-learning courses on environmental economics and policy for World Bank technical assistance programs. He’s also a great friend to everyone on the team!

Utah State Rep. Raymond Ward (R-UT-19) on the barriers to "balcony solar" in Utah and how his bill passed.
Utah House of Representatives Rep. Raymond Ward explains his state house bill regarding "balcony solar" on our 200th episode of the "EcoRight Speaks."
Welcome to the 200th episode of the "EcoRight Speaks" podcast! On this episode, we have a conversation with Utah State Rep. Raymond Ward (R-UT-19), a trained physician who has been serving in the Utah House of Representatives since 2015. Through his travels to Germany, Dr. Ward learned about an innovative way they are using solar that is cheaper, portable, and also reliable. However, the same product in the U.S. faces barriers to market entry, including in his home state with even tighter restrictions preventing the adoption of so-called “balcony solar.” Dr. Ward has been working to change that by introducing a bill to amend state law, which would allow balcony solar. He is also looking at how national policies can change to allow access to this innovative technology. Join us for a great conversation with Dr. Raymond Ward as well as a celebration with a few friends dropping by our 200th episode!

AGU's Lexi Shultz provides concerned podcast listeners with feedback on how to help the scientific community.
On episode seven this week, we welcome first-time guest Lexi Shultz, who currently serves as Vice President of Public Affairs at the American Geophysical Union (AGU), a global community supporting more than half a million advocates and professionals in the Earth and space sciences. She also works on programs providing scientists with the skills, support and opportunities they need to effectively engage with policymakers. Before joining AGU, Shultz spent eight years at the Union of Concerned Scientists, where she was part of an effort to restore scientific integrity to the policymaking process. Raj Agrawal with more about his second book Reversal!
Author Raj Agrawal shares what his first eco-thriller book Not For Sale! is about.
Raj Agrawal on what inspired him to write a book after retiring from aerospace engineering.
Raj Agrawal is a retired aerospace engineer and a first-generation immigrant from India. After completing his bachelor’s in engineering, he came to Ottawa, Canada where he obtained his master’s in aerospace engineering and met his future wife. They moved to Montreal where they made their home for almost a quarter century and became proud parents. The family immigrated to the United States, the land of cutting-edge research and revolutionary inventions, just before the turn of the new century. But he’s not here this week to talk about his engineering career; he’s here to talk about his “near-term science fiction” trilogy. The first two books, Not for Sale! and Reversal! are published and the third book is in progress. He believes in the power of storytelling as a component of policy advocacy and that idea resonated with us.
Corey Kerkela talks about the work of the Fellowship of the Trees with Rotary and why it fits so well with Rotary's mission in local communities across the country and the world.
