Muslim terrorist shot dead outside British synagogue on Yom Kippur
On Thursday, a British terrorist of Syrian descent drove a car into people outside a synagogue in Manchester, England and then began stabbing them, killing two Jews and seriously wounding four others in a terrorist attack on Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, which is the holiest day of the Jewish calendar, reports the Associated Press.
Officers shot and killed the suspect though authorities took some time to confirm he was dead because he was wearing a vest that made it appear as if he had explosives. Authorities later said he did not have a bomb.
The man has been identified as 35-year-old Jihad Al-Shamie, a British citizen of Syrian descent, where 87% of the population is Muslim, reports the BBC.
The Metropolitan Police in London, who lead counter-terrorism policing operations, declared the rampage a terrorist attack.
Assistant Commissioner Laurence Taylor said two other suspects were arrested, though he provided no further information on the arrests.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, an atheist, denounced the attack on the Jewish synagogue.
STARMER: “Earlier today, on Yom Kippur, the holiest day for the Jewish community, a vile individual committed a terrorist attack that attacked Jews because they are Jews, and attacked Britain because of our values.
“So many Jewish families first came to this country as a place of refuge fleeing the greatest evil ever inflicted on a people and Britain welcomed them. Communities like the one attacked in Manchester provided safety, but also the security that comes from a promise that this is a country that stands up to hatred and that we don't just provide refuge, we provide a home for so many Jewish families, that is the story of Britain.
“But Britain is also a country where Jewish buildings, synagogues, even schools, require round-the-clock protection, where dedicated, specialist security is necessary because of the daily threat of antisemitic hatred. Today's horrific incident shows why.”
Antisemitic incidents in the United Kingdom have hit record levels following Hamas’ October 7, 2023, attack on Israel and Israel’s ensuing military campaign in Gaza, according to Community Security Trust, an advocacy group for British Jews that works to eliminate antisemitism.
More than 1,500 antisemitic incidents in Britain were reported in the first half of the year.
Pope Leo blasts Trump’s hard-line immigration policy as not “pro-life”
Pope Leo XIV strongly criticized President Donald Trump's hardline immigration policies, questioning whether they were in line with the Catholic church’s “pro-life” teachings, reports The Guardian.
Outside the papal summer residence in the Alban Hills, near Rome, this is what Pope Leo, the first American pope, said about Trump in response to a question from a U.S. journalist.
POPE LEO: “Someone who says that I'm against abortion, but I'm in agreement with the inhuman treatment of immigrants who are in the United States, I don't know if that's pro-life.”
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt reacted.
LEAVITT: “I would reject there is inhumane treatment of illegal immigrants in the United States under this administration, there was, however, significant, inhumane treatment of illegal immigrants in the previous administration as they were being trafficked and raped and beaten and in many cases, killed over our United States southern border.”
Texas megachurch pastor pleads guilty to sexually abusing a child
The founder of a Texas megachurch who resigned last year after a woman in Oklahoma accused the pastor of sexually abusing her in the 1980s pleaded guilty Thursday to five counts of lewd and indecent acts with a child, reports KLTV.
Robert Morris, age 64, entered the pleas before a judge in Oklahoma’s Osage County as part of a plea agreement, according to the state attorney general’s office.
The abuse began in 1982 when the victim was 12 and Morris was a traveling evangelist staying in Hominy, Oklahoma, with her family. The abuse continued over the next four years.
Numbers 32:23 says, “You have sinned against the Lord, and be sure your sin will find you out.”
Morris was the senior pastor of Gateway Church in the Dallas-Fort Worth suburb of Southlake, where he led one of the nation’s largest megachurches until his resignation. He was indicted earlier this year by an Oklahoma grand jury. Under the plea agreement, Morris received a 10-year suspended sentence with the first six months to be served in an Oklahoma County Jail.
Christian wedding photographer wins in court
A federal court has sided with a Christian photographer challenging misguided mandates she believes would force her to take pictures at a homosexual wedding despite her religious objections, reports The Christian Post.
This is the latest example of U.S. courts ruling in favor of religious liberty protections.
In the opinion published Tuesday, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Kentucky sided with photographer Chelsey Nelson in her ongoing legal dispute with the city of Louisville.
Miami Dolphins player Tua Tagovailoa credits Jesus after win
And finally, Miami Dolphins player Tua Tagovailoa (Tah-go-VYE-lo-a) thanked and glorified God after his team’s win in a recent game, marking the latest example of the athlete using his platform to highlight his Christian faith, reports The Christian Post.
On Monday, the Miami Dolphins beat the New York Jets 27-21 in a game between the two National Football League teams.
In a post-game interview with Peter Schrager following Monday’s game, Tagovailoa did not hesitate to give God the glory.
Listen.
SCHRAGER: “You come out with a victory. All three facets dominated. The Jets today, your impression and take on the game."
TAGOVAILOA: “First and foremost, all glory belongs to God, my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Just want to thank Him for this victory, for keeping us safe for the most part. My prayers go out to all the guys that got injured tonight. My boy Tyreke. It was a team win. That's all it was. That's all I could say about this. It was hard fought to the end. Just wanted to make sure that I glorified my Lord and Savior, Jesus, Christ.”
His post-game interview was not the first time the athlete has put his Christian faith on display. In 2018, as a college football player for the University of Alabama, Tagovailoa reacted to his team’s win against the Georgia Bulldogs by proclaiming, “First and foremost, I’d just like to thank my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. With Him, all things are possible.”
1 Corinthians 10:31 says, “Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.”

Hindus barged into church assaulted pastor and destroyed Bibles
Praise God! A court in India recently acquitted a Christian who faced charges under an “anti-conversion” law.
The state of Uttarakhand passed the measure in 2018. Pastor Nandan Singh Bisht was the first Christian charged under the law. He faced years of legal battles. However, a judicial magistrate finally cleared the pastor of all charges on September 17th.
The case began in 2021. Pastor Bisht gathered with 25 Christians in his house for prayer. In response, local Hindus barged into the house, destroyed their Bibles, and assaulted the pastor. Despite the ordeal, Pastor Bisht told Morning Star News that God was “always faithful and sustained my family’s needs. This is the result of answered prayers.”
In Matthew 5:11-12, Jesus said, “Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in Heaven.”
Filipino earthquake kills 60
A 6.9-magnitude earthquake struck the Philippines on Tuesday.
The powerful quake killed at least 60 people and injured over 150 more.
Philippine Red Cross Chairman Richard Gordon told CNN, “Some churches partially collapsed, and some schools had to be evacuated. This [earthquake] was a sleeper. It crept up on us.”
Wycliff Bible Translators released 23 complete Bibles & 95 New Testaments
Wycliffe Bible Translators released their latest statistics on Tuesday.
Over the past year, translators have released 23 complete Bibles and 95 New Testaments.
This work brings the whole Bible to nearly 200 million more people.
James Poole, the executive director of Wycliffe Bible Translators, stated, “In recent years, we have seen an extraordinary surge in Bible translation. Progress is happening at a pace and scale not witnessed before, and whole communities are beginning to receive the Scriptures far sooner than we could once have imagined.”
Scottish police arrest pro-life grandmother for second time
Police in Scotland recently re-arrested a 75-year-old pro-life grandmother for standing outside an abortion mill
Rose Docherty simply held a sign that read, “Coercion is a crime, here to talk, only if you want.” It’s the second time authorities arrested her under Scotland's buffer zone law.
The U.S. State Department told The Telegraph, “The arrest of Rose Docherty is another egregious example of the tyrannical suppression of free speech happening across Europe.”
U.S. Gov't shutdown @ midnight Wednesday
The U.S. government entered a shutdown at midnight on Wednesday.
Congressional leaders could not reach a deal to pass a spending bill by the deadline. Republicans are calling for spending cuts, while Democrats are pushing for more social programs and foreign aid.
Listen to comments from Vice President J.D. Vance.
VANCE: “To the American people who are watching, the reason your government is shut down at this very minute is because, despite the fact that the overwhelming majority of congressional Republicans and even a few moderate Democrats supported opening the government, the Chuck Schumer/AOC wing of the Democratic Party shut down the government because they said to us, ‘We will open the government, but only if you give billions of dollars of funding for healthcare for illegal aliens.”
Previously, the federal government has had 20 funding gaps, resulting in 10 shutdowns since 1976.
Contemporary Christian Music ranked 4th and religious stations ranked 2nd
Inside Radio released the top 10 radio formats based on current month counts.
Religion-formatted stations ranked second, and Contemporary Christian Music ranked fourth. Of the top 10, only Contemporary Christian has welcomed new stations into the format every month over the last year. Religion-formatted stations also saw consistent growth.
Other music formats like Country and Top 40 lost a significant number of stations.
Public & private school students bring their Bible to school today
And finally, today is Focus on the Family’s annual Bring Your Bible to School Day.
Nearly 1.3 million people and over 10,000 churches participated last year.
Emerson Collins is the Parenting and Youth Program Manager for Focus on the Family. He told The Christian Post, “We’re looking at thousands of churches, thousands of schools and 2 million students total participating.”
Collins said the celebration is not just about bringing Bibles to school but also talking about Christ. He noted, “That’s what we’re hoping to create is the curiosity, the connection and the conversation around Christ and the Gospel.”
The celebration is inspired this year by James 1:22. The verse says, “Be doers of the Word, and not hearers only.”

Chinese Communists arrested 70 Christians
Chinese Communists arrested over 70 Christians recently in a major crackdown on churches.
The operation began two months ago and involved over 400 police officers. They targeted Christians involved in Bible study groups in east China.
One local Christian told Open Doors, “We have not seen such a massive force used to address church-related matters. This is something that warrants serious attention.”
China is ranked 15th on the Open Doors’ World Watch List of the most difficult countries to be a Christian.
Psalm 14:4 asks, “Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge, who eat up My people as they eat bread, and do not call on the LORD?”
Trump’s 20-point plan to end Israeli-Gaza War
On Monday, U.S. President Donald Trump announced a 20-point plan to end the war in Gaza.
The plan involves the ending of hostilities between Israel and Hamas, the Muslim terrorist group, returning of hostages held by Hamas, and providing humanitarian aid to Gaza. The plan calls for a temporary transitional government over Gaza and an economic development plan to rebuild Gaza.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu agreed to the plan. Hamas leaders are reportedly leaning toward accepting the plan.
War Secretary Pete Hegseth: Out with the woke, in with the warrior
U.S. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth addressed the military’s most senior leaders yesterday at the Marine Corps Base in Quantico, Virginia.
Hegseth announced 10 new directives, shifting the department from a “woke” to a “warrior” culture.
He described what makes a good military leader.
HEGSETH: “If I've learned one core lesson in my eight months in this job, it's that personnel is policy. The best way to take care of troops is to give them good leaders committed to the war-fighting culture of the department. Not perfect leaders, good leaders. Competent, qualified, professional, agile, aggressive, innovative, risk-taking, apolitical, faithful to their oath and to the Constitution.”
Secretary Hegseth addressed the importance of rigorous physical standards for soldiers.
HEGSETH: “When it comes to any job that requires physical power to perform in combat, those physical standards must be high and gender neutral. If women can make it, excellent! If not, it is what it is. If that means no women qualify for some combat jobs, so be it. That is not the intent, but it could be the result. So be it.
“It will also mean that weak men won't qualify because we're not playing games. This is combat. This is life or death. As we all know, this is you versus an enemy hell-bent on killing you. To be an effective, lethal fighting force, you must trust that the warrior alongside you in battle is capable, truly, physically capable, of doing what is necessary under fire.”
He asked whether any of the military leaders would want one of their sons to become a soldier and serve alongside unqualified soldiers.
HEGSETH: “Would you want him serving with fat or unfit or under trained troops? Or alongside people who can't meet basic standards in a unit where leaders were promoted for reasons other than merit, performance and war fighting? This means at the War Department, first and foremost, we must restore a ruthless, dispassionate and common sense application of standards.”
And Secretary Hegseth explained that the War Department will no longer tolerate the distracting woke nonsense.
HEGSETH: “This administration has done a great deal from day one to remove the social justice, politically correct, and toxic ideological garbage that had infected our department. To rip out the politics. No more identity months, DEI offices, dudes in dresses. No more climate change worship, no more division, distraction, or gender delusions. No more debris.
“As I've said before and will say again, we are done with that … I've made it my mission to uproot the obvious distractions that made us less capable and less lethal.”
YouTube reinstates conservative accounts banned over anti-COVID shot posts
Last Tuesday, Google announced that it will reinstate YouTube accounts it banned for political speech.

52% say sex outside heterosexual marriage is sin; 49% say abortion is sin
Here’s more data from the State of Theology study study by Lifeway Research and Ligonier Ministries.
Just under half of U.S. adults believe the Bible is 100% accurate in all that it teaches. Sixty percent say the Bible is the highest authority for what they believe. And 50% believe the Bible has the authority to tell us what we must do.
On moral issues, 52% of Americans say that sex outside of traditional marriage is a sin. Forty-nine percent agree that abortion is a sin. Fifty-four percent oppose transgenderism. And 46% oppose homosexual behavior.
Psalm 19:7-8 reminds us, “The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple; the precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.”
Average American’s FICO score is 715
FICO released its inaugural Score Credit Insights Report this month.
The report found the national average FICO credit score is 715. However, young consumers are struggling by comparison with an average FICO score of 676. Gen Z borrowers experienced the largest average score decrease of any age group, falling three points year-over-year.
A key driver for this is student loan debt. Over a third of young consumers have student loans, compared to 17% of the total population.
Planned Parenthood closed it’s 78,000 square foot abortion mill in Houston
And finally, Planned Parenthood officially closed what was the largest abortion mill in North America yesterday.
Back in July, the abortion giant announced it would close two locations in Houston, Texas. One of them was its 78,000-square-foot Prevention Park facility.
The Houston Coalition for Life hosted a vigil outside the building to honor the estimated 110,000+ unborn children killed by abortion there.
Shawn Carney, the CEO of 40 Days for Life, said the ministry has prayed outside the mega abortion mill since 2006. He commented to Fox News about the closure, saying, “This is massive news for the pro-life movement and shows the direction that Planned Parenthood is going, which is down.”

Atheist Bill Maher objects to Nigerian genocide against Christians
Bill Maher, the well-known comedian and secular humanist commentator, took to his HBO show last Friday to complain about the lack of coverage about Christian persecution in Nigeria.
MAHER: “If you don't know what's going on in Nigeria, you are in a bubble. And again, I'm not a Christian, but they are systematically killing the Christians in Nigeria. They've killed over 100,000 since 2009 they've burned 18,000 churches. These are Islamists, Boko Haram.
“This is so much more of a genocide attempt than what is going on in Gaza. They are literally attempting to wipe out the Christian population of an entire country. Where are the kids protesting this?” (applause)
GUEST: “No one will talk about it. So, thank you.”
MAHER: “Absolutely!”

Mormon president allowed sexually perverse to remain in good standing
The President of the Mormon faith, based in Salt Lake City, Utah, went to meet his Maker, over the weekend. Russell Nelson was 101 years old.
Under his watch, the Mormons changed their policies on homosexuality, allowing those living in sexually-perverted relationships and faux-marriages to remain members in good standing.
The group also allowed for the Melchizedek blessing to be placed upon children adopted by homosexuals living together.
Dr. Nelson is also credited with ridding them of the “Mormon” moniker, while building the internet URL: “churchofjesuschrist.org".
Membership in Mormonism expanded from 4.5 million to 17.5 million members since Dr. Nelson joined the top-tier leadership in 1984. That’s a 3-fold increase in 40 years. That’s about the same growth rate as the Jehovah Witnesses, with the JW’s about half the size of the Mormons.

Ken Ham and Al Mohler honor Voddie Baucham’s legacy
Ken Ham, from Answers in Genesis, took to social media to say, he was “greatly saddened to hear the news that pastor and theologian Voddie Baucham had gone to be with the Lord.”
Ken called Voddie “a powerful voice for truth. a pioneer in challenging men to stand for Christ in leading their families. … No other voice had the impact his did to encourage the current generation to home educate their children—that they would know Christ and make him known.
“Voddie called men to lead in family worship daily in their homes. He was a pioneer in bringing young people back into the churches to sit together as a family and witness their dads worship the Lord.”
Al Mohler, the president of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, also offered a tribute to Voddie Baucham on The Briefing.
Listen.
MOHLER: “Voddie Baucham died having done what the Lord called him to do. We're thankful for the power of his ministry and the clarity of his convictions. And it is a reminder to us that we must work, as Jesus said to His disciples, while it is day. Night is coming when no man can work. We'll pray for Voddie Baucham’s widow and the entire family.”
Plus, Masters Seminary shared a memorial on Facebook stating that “Voddie was a courageous shepherd, a bold defender of the true Gospel, and a beloved friend.”
Lord: “Teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom.”
And, just to remind us all, that this was the year that Phil Robertson, Pastor John MacArthur, Dr. James Dobson, Voddie Baucham, and Charlie Kirk died.
Let us remember Moses’s words in Psalm 90:12 -- “Teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom.”
Artificial Intelligence the one bright spot in the economy
In economic news today, the second quarter Gross Domestic Product in the United States registered a 3.8% improvement.
But that improvement, thus far this year, is attributed to Artificial Intelligence investment and tariffs. All other parts of the economy were down including personal consumption, business investment, housing, government and inventories.
While the NASDAQ Index is up 5.7% for the month of September, investors are moving to gold and silver as a safe haven now. Gold is up 10%, silver is up 15%, and Bitcoin is up 2%.
Majority of top movies are R-rated
Six out of the top seven movies this weekend are R-rated movies — mostly in the horror genre. And five out of six of last weekend’s top box office favorites were also R-rated movies.
R-rated movies netted four times the G-rated movie totals in 2007. This year, that ratio has increased to 100 times the G-rated movie totals.
Neanderthals were fully human
And finally, evolutionists are surprised to have found relations between the Neanderthals and the Chinese ancient human group called the Denisovans.
A recent report cites interbreeding, according to the genome sequence.
Although at one time considered a link in human evolution, now scientists realize that the Neanderthals were fully human. For example, according to the Institute for Creation Research, they “made tools to make other complex tools, buried their dead, had controlled use of fire, practiced religious ceremonies, used complex syntax in their spoken grammar, and played musical instruments.”

Gunman kills two and injures eight at Mormon place of worship
A gunman opened fire inside a Michigan Mormon place of worship, 60 miles northwest of Detroit, at 10:25am ET during the Sunday service, killing two people and injuring eight. He then set the building ablaze, before police shot and killed him, reports ABC News.
Police Chief William Renye said hundreds of people were inside the building in Grand Blanc Township when a 40-year-old man rammed his vehicle into the front door, then exited the vehicle, and started shooting. The gunman has been identified as Thomas Jacob Sanford, reports NBC News.
The suspect is believed to have set the building on fire which caused a five-alarm blaze that caused a partial collapse of the structure. Flames and smoke could be seen for hours before the blaze was put out.
Investigators wonder whether the shooting is connected with the death of the oldest-ever president of Latter-day Saints, Russell Nelson, who died at the age of 101 the day before. The next Mormon president is expected to be 93-year-old Dallin Oaks, per Mormon protocol.
Christian pastor denied access to Dallas airport chapel
A Christian pastor was denied access to the chapel at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport by a Muslim cleric, reports Christian talk host Todd Starnes.
Tom Ascol, a prominent Southern Baptist pastor, wrote on social media that he had been in Dallas to visit the grieving family of Voddie Baucham, a renowned pastor and scholar.
Ascol said that he heard an announcement inviting passengers to visit the Meadows Chapel for a prayer service. The announcement included the phrase “all are welcome.”
Ascol wrote on X, “With broken heart I went hoping maybe Scripture would at least be read. Instead, I found this & was denied access.” The Baptist pastor posted a photograph of Muslims inside the chapel kneeling on prayer rugs.
The pastor said he was physically blocked from entering the room.
He explained, “They blocked my way in the inner room. A man who had offered a loud prayer, not the Imam, said I could come in if I took my shoes off. I refused.”
Church attendance rising after Kirk's murder, particularly among youth
Some pastors have reported seeing an increase in church attendance following the assassination of Charlie Kirk, the conservative Christian founder of Turning Point USA, particularly among young adults, some of whom haven’t attended a worship service in years, reports The Christian Post.
JP De Gance, the founder and president of Communio, a ministry that helps churches evangelize better and expand their outreach capacities, believes that Kirk’s message has inspired many young people to experience the Christian faith through a church community.
He said, “[There has been] a lot of anecdotal feedback from churches in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, and Douglas County, Colorado, reporting that they’ve seen an increase [in attendance] over the last two Sundays."
Communio, which serves around 400 churches nationwide, has received reports of increased attendance from various religious denominations.
Speculating on why Kirk’s death, which was headline news worldwide, might have been the driving force to get young people to attend church, De Gance said that perhaps some began to take stock of their lives after hearing that someone within their age range had died a violent death.
De Gance believes that more young people are coming to know who Charlie Kirk was and what he had to say about marriage, family and living for Christ, beliefs that reportedly were the reason why Tyler Robinson targeted him.
He said, “I think that causes a level of introspection. I think that causes people to ask, ‘What am I living for right now?’”
Why Tim Allen forgave drunk driver who killed his father
And finally, in a podcast with Michael Rowe, Tim Allen, the 72-year-old former star of the Home Improvement sitcom, shared the story of his father’s death in 1964.
ALLEN: “My father was killed by a drunk driver when I was 11 years old. Luckily, he was the only one killed, but he died in my mother's lap. My other two brothers were thrown around the car. A lot of kids were hurt.”
Tim Allen’s father had been driving home from a Colorado football game with six children in the vehicle along with his wife. Tim was not in the car that day. The drunk driver swerved across I-70, went through a median, and hit the car.
Tim explained what his uncle told him.
ALLEN: “And then I'm walking down to my house, knowing something terrible had happened. I get to the house, there's police, and my uncle was there and said, ‘Man up. You know, your mom needs you right now. So, no crying, none of that.”
ROWE: “How old are you this point?”
ALLEN: “Eleven. He was a great dad, love of my life. I said, ‘This doesn't make any sense. I don't like this.’ And everybody's answer was, ‘He's in a better place.’ The pain of it never stopped. The discomfort of it. That whole process started me on asking questions. Generally, getting no answers.”
Tim Allen added, "Every single thing in my life changed. I knew it the moment he was dead, and it was not for four hours that I found out. I've hated November since then.”
On Thursday, September 24, he revealed that — after watching Charlie Kirk's widow, Erika Kirk, forgive her husband's killer on September 21st — he decided to do the same for the drunk driver who killed his father, reports People Magazine.
Allen wrote on X, "When Erika Kirk spoke the words on the man who killed her husband [Charlie]: 'That man… that young man… I forgive him.' That moment deeply affected me. I have struggled for over 60 years to forgive the man who killed my Dad. I will say those words now as I type: 'I forgive the man who killed my father.'"
Ephesians 4:32 commands, “Forgive one another, even as God, in Christ, forgave you.”
Indeed, Erika Kirk said, “My husband, Charlie, he wanted to save young men, just like the one who took his life."
Listen to the unforgettable moment when Erika forgave her husband’s assassin at the Memorial on September 21st held at State Farm Arena in Phoenix, Arizona, just 11 days after his assassination.
ERIKA KIRK: “On the cross, our Savior said, ‘Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.’ (Luke 23:34)
“That man, [Tyler Robinson], I forgive him. (applause as she wept) I forgive him because it was what Christ did, and it’s what Charlie would do. The answer to hate is not hate. The answer, we know from the Gospel, is love, and always love. Love for our enemies and love for those who persecute us.”
Tyler Robinson, a 22-year-old man now being held at the Utah County Jail without bail, has been accused of the crime. If found guilty, the prosecutor has called for the death penalty.

Chinese Communist court upholds prison sentence of 10 Christians
On September 11, a court in the Inner Mongolian region of North China upheld a ruling that sentenced 10 Christians to prison for distributing legally published Bibles, asserting that their actions equated to an illegal business operation, reports International Christian Concern.
The believers were arrested back in 2021 for purchasing legally published Bibles and reselling them at a significantly lower price as a means of evangelism.
Although the Bibles were published legally, the court deemed the distribution of them illegal because the house church that the distributors belonged to was not officially registered with the Communists. Additionally, the church refused to join the government-controlled Three-Self Patriotic Movement church.
Trump now wants Russia to return all captured Ukraine territory
After campaigning on ending the Russia-Ukraine war, President Donald Trump had repeatedly stated any negotiations to end the war will likely include Ukraine ceding captured territory to Russia, reports American Family Radio News.
However, there’s now been an about-face, a big one, that sounds like Trump now supports a military counter-offensive by Ukraine.
This week, President Trump stated that Ukraine, with help from NATO and the European Union, can retake all territory it has lost to Russia and restore Ukraine to its “original form.”
Russian President Vladimir Putin has ignored Trump’s efforts to bring peace to the region even after face-to-face talks in Alaska earlier this summer.
Mark Montgomery, a former rear admiral, believes that Putin has embarrassed and irritated Trump. Listen to this soundbite from Washington Watch with Tony Perkins.
MONTGOMERY: “President Trump was disrespected by President Putin. After every meeting, Putin would go back to Russia and would immediately engage in significant hypersonic missile strikes on civilian personnel in Ukraine, and as well as engaging in military kinetic actions along the front line, ignoring the president's request for Vladimir to stop, ignoring the president's request to come to the negotiating table.
“I think President Trump gave President Putin all the wiggle room he could. And then he had enough.”
Former FBI Director James Comey indicted on federal charges
Federal prosecutors on Thursday announced they had won an indictment of former FBI Director James Comey in federal courts, reports The Epoch Times.
Comey was indicted by a grand jury in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia on charges of making a false statement and obstruction in a criminal case.
In a post on X, Attorney General Pam Bondi wrote, “No one is above the law. Today’s indictment reflects this Department of Justice’s commitment to holding those who abuse positions of power accountable for misleading the American people. We will follow the facts in this case.”
Panic seizes Pentagon over Hegseth’s meeting of all generals
Secretary of War Pete Hegseth has ordered all top U.S. military commanders, worldwide, to convene at the Quantico, Virginia Marine Corps Base next week for a no-notice meeting with no published agenda.
To call this unprecedented might be an understatement.
The order covers about 800 general officers and admirals, and each of the attendees is directed to bring their senior enlisted adviser with them, reports RedState.com.
It’s also very likely that Hegseth will want to discuss the epidemic of non-compliance and malicious compliance wreaking havoc on the policies he and his team are attempting to put into place. For instance, trans members of the military are still being promoted even though they have been ordered discharged.
DEI training continues despite Hegseth's order banning such nonsense.
The Judge Advocate General Corps, the stronghold of everything leftist in all services, survived an early decapitation attack and roared back more woke and more disloyal and vindictive than ever. They openly discuss how to circumvent Department of War directives and frequently refer to their commanders who are following lawful orders from the Secretary of War as "nazis" and "war criminals."
Man who shot at ICE Dallas facility sought to bring terror
The 29-year-old man, Joshua Jahn, who opened fire on a Dallas Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility from a nearby roof on September 24th left behind handwritten notes at his home in Oklahoma that shared a motive for his attack – to terrorize ICE employees, reports Fox4News.com.
He killed one detainee, and injured two other detainees before taking his own life.
According to FBI Director Kash Patel, Jahn downloaded a document titled "Dallas County Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Management," which contained a list of Department of Homeland Security facilities. He also conducted multiple searches of ballistics and the "Charlie Kirk Shot Video" between September 23 and September 24.
Jahn allegedly left handwritten notes behind that read in part, "Hopefully, this will give ICE agents real terror, to think, ‘Is there a sniper with [armor piercing] rounds on that roof?’"
At a press conference, FBI agent-in-charge Joseph Rothrock said, "Jahn specifically intended to kill ICE agents. He fired at transport vehicles carrying ICE personnel, federal agents, and detainees. He also fired multiple shots into the windows of the office building, where numerous ICE employees do their jobs every day."
The Department of Homeland Security is also increasing security at all ICE facilities across America.
Christian leader Voddie Baucham died at 56
And finally, Voddie Baucham, an American pastor, author, and educator, died yesterday at the age of 56.
TimesNowNews.com reports that Baucham had dealt with serious health issues in the past. In February 2021, he experienced “full-blown heart failure.” The following month, he underwent successful heart surgery. Later, doctors found another blockage, which led to a quadruple bypass surgery.
On Facebook, his ministry wrote, “We are saddened to inform friends that our dear brother, Voddie Baucham, Jr., has left the land of the dying and entered the land of the living. Earlier today, after suffering an emergency medical incident, he entered into his rest and the immediate presence of the Savior whom he loved, trusted, and served since he was converted as a college student. Please pray for Bridget, their [nine] children, and [three] grandchildren.”
Indeed, I urge you to send a sympathy card to Bridget Baucham, c/o Voddie Baucham Ministries,1020 S. Ferdon, Crestview, FL 32536.
Voddie served for nine years as Dean of Theology at African Christian University in Lusaka, Zambia and was the Founding President of Founders Seminary in Cape Coral, Florida.
Known for his passionate preaching, teachings on faith, and books on Christian living, Baucham left a deep mark on the Evangelical community.
His books included Family Driven Faith: Doing What It Takes to Raise Sons and Daughters Who Walk with God, Family Shepherds: Calling and Equipping Men to Lead Their Homes, and Fault Lines: The Social Justice Movement and Evangelicalism's Looming Catastrophe.
Listen to Voddie Baucham explain how Ephesians 6:1 has been turned upside down by the world.
BAUCHAM: “Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. We've turned this on its head.
“First of all, your children are not yours. ‘Children, obey the state, for this is right.’ We've even moved from that.
“’Children obey your feelings, for this is right.’ And then on top of that. We say, ‘Parents, obey your children's feelings, for this is right.’ So, if Johnny comes to you and says that Johnny is now Susie, it is your job not to instruct Johnny that he's not Susie, but to instruct Susie that you affirm her as Susie. That's your job.
“Your job is to obey, to submit to what it is that your child says that he or she is. Sounds like the same twisted logic of the evangelical feminist.”
Psalm 116:15 says, “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.”
Watch Voddie’s last talk in which he addressed Charlie Kirk’s death at New St. Andrews College.

The martyrdom of 1,624 Christians
A Vatican commission has documented the stories of 1,624 Christians who died for their faith over the past 25 years.
The stories cover Christians from all denominations. Of the cases, 643 were in Sub-Saharan Africa, 357 in Asia and Oceania, 304 in the Americas, 277 in the Middle East and the Maghreb, and 43 in Europe.
Archbishop Fabio Fabene is the head of the commission. He noted that “Martyrdom has existed in every age of the Church, but perhaps now more than in the past, many surrender their lives in order not to betray the message of Christ.”
Typhoon prompts 2 million Chinese to evacuate
Typhoon Ragasa made landfall in China yesterday.
Nearly two million people evacuated southern China ahead of the storm. The typhoon is equivalent to a Category 5 hurricane, making it the world’s most powerful storm this year.
The typhoon left a path of destruction in the Philippines and Hong Kong and killed at least 17 people in Taiwan.
Oracle to buy Chinese-owned TikTok to allay security concerns
Speaking of China, officials from the country reached an agreement with leaders from the United States last week about the Chinese-owned app TikTok.
According to the deal, the tech company Oracle will lead a U.S.-backed acquisition of TikTok’s assets in America. This is part of the Trump administration’s efforts to address national security concerns of China’s control over TikTok.
Listen to comments from U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer.
GREER: “We were very focused on Tiktok and making sure that it was a deal that is fair from the Chinese and completely respects US national security concerns. And that's the deal we reached.”
False prophet had predicted end of the world by September 24th
Meanwhile on TikTok, claims that the rapture was supposed to have occurred in the last two days went viral this week.
The reactions came in response to a video from a South African man named Joshua Mhlakela. He claimed to have a vision that Jesus would return on the 23rd or 24th of September. I guess he was wrong!
The hashtag #rapturenow on TikTok has hundreds of thousands of videos.
In the wake of the false predictions, Rev. Franklin Graham called people to turn to Christ, not panic. He wrote on Facebook, “There’s no question, Jesus Christ will return—but we don’t know when. Jesus Himself tells us, ‘But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of Heaven, but My Father only’ (Matthew 24:36)” Graham concluded, “Surrender your life to Him—this is the preparation that will count.”
Chicago dropped charges against 3 street preachers
The American Center for Law and Justice announced that a court in Chicago dropped charges against three street preachers this month.
In the case, police arrested three young men for peacefully preaching the Gospel near Chicago’s Millennium Park. After six months of court battles, the judge recently dismissed the case.
The ACLJ wrote on Facebook, “Far-Left cities are arresting preachers for sharing the Gospel. We just filed a brief at the U.S. Supreme Court to defend their religious liberty. Help stop the far Left’s attack on preachers. Sign our petition.”
You can sign that petition through a link in our transcript today at TheWorldview.com.
Texas law prohibits manufacture or distribution of abortion kill pill
Texas Republican Governor Greg Abbott signed the Woman and Child Protection Act into law last Wednesday.
The law makes it illegal to manufacture or distribute abortion-inducing drugs in the Lone Star State. It also bans mailing such drugs to or from any person or location in the state.
The chemical abortion business has surged after many states passed anti-abortion laws. For example, ever since Texas protected babies in the womb after six weeks gestation, it has seen nearly 20,000 abortion kill pills mailed into the state annually.
Most Americans believe we’re born without sin nature
And finally, Lifeway Research and Ligonier Ministries released their latest State of Theology study.
A majority of U.S. adults strongly embraced ideas like the Trinity, God’s perfection and unchangeableness, and marriage as the union of one man and one woman.
However, a majority of Americans also strongly agreed that everyone is born innocent in the eyes of God and strongly disagreed that even the smallest sin deserves eternal damnation.
Scott McConnell, executive director of Lifeway Research, noted, “When a clear majority of Americans think God is flexible when it comes to religion, it’s not surprising that agreement with some teachings in the Bible does not translate to accepting all biblical teaching. Americans want the same flexibility they think God has, even if that contradicts other beliefs they have and how God is revealed in Scripture.”
James 1:17 reminds us, “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.”

Chinese Communists restrict Christian online content
Bitter Winter Magazine reports that Communist officials in China published new rules last week to significantly restrict religious content online.
The religious liberty magazine noted, “It effectively criminalizes spontaneous religious expression online, isolates clergy from global religious discourse, and places sacred speech under the watchful eye of state censors.”
The regulations allow only registered religious organizations to post preaching and religious education online. Clergy must promote socialist values. And they are specifically prohibited from evangelizing young people, reports China Aid.
But, in Matthew 19:14, Jesus said “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of Heaven.”
Hungary to designate Antifa a terrorist group
Hungary plans on designating Antifa as a terrorist organization following the example of the United States.
Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orbán recently told state media, “Antifa is a terrorist organization. . . . They have come to Hungary, beaten peaceful people in the streets, beaten some half to death.”
This comes after U.S. President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Monday, designating Antifa as a domestic terrorist organization. Trump wrote on Truth Social, “I am designating ANTIFA, A SICK, DANGEROUS, RADICAL LEFT DISASTER, AS A MAJOR TERRORIST ORGANIZATION. I will also be strongly recommending that those funding ANTIFA be thoroughly investigated.”
Man guilty of Trump assassination attempt tries to stab himself in court
Ryan Routh, the madman who holed up in a sniper’s nest with an assault rifle at President Trump’s West Palm Beach golf club, tried to stab himself with a pen in a Florida courtroom Tuesday after he was convicted of attempting to assassinate the then-GOP nominee, reports the New York Post.
The jury noted the 17 “reconnaissance” trips he allegedly made to Trump’s golf course, and what they described as his excessive stalking of Trump, prior to the September 15, 2024 incident in question.
A dramatic scene unfolded as jurors were leaving the courtroom when Routh took a pen and started trying to jab himself in the neck.
Courtroom marshals sprung to action and dragged him out of the room as his daughter, Sara Routh, screamed at her father. She yelled, “Dad I love you. Don’t do anything. I’ll get you out. He didn’t hurt anybody.”
There is no video footage of Ryan Routh attempting to stab himself with the pen because cameras were not allowed in the courtroom.
A few minutes later, Routh was brought back into the courtroom with shackles on. He wasn’t wearing the jacket and tie from earlier and his white shirt didn’t show signs of blood. The judge set his sentencing date for December 18, where he will face up to life in prison.
Trump rebuked globalism and open borders at United Nations
U.S. President Donald Trump addressed the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly yesterday.
President Trump rebuked globalism, unchecked migration, open borders, and climate change activism.
Listen.
TRUMP: “The entire globalist concept of asking successful industrialized nations to inflict pain on themselves and radically disrupt their entire societies must be rejected completely and totally. And it must be immediate. That's why in America, I withdrew from the fake Paris Climate Accord.”
He also called for the protection of religious liberty.
TRUMP: “Together, let us defend free speech and free expression. Let us protect religious liberty, including for the most persecuted religion on the planet today. It's called Christianity.”
HHS announced review of abortion kill pill
LifeNews reports the U.S. Health and Human Services Department is launching a national review of the abortion kill pill mifepristone.
HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. accused the Biden administration of downplaying serious complications of the dangerous drug.
Obviously, it is used in the killing of unborn babies. Not surprisingly, it is also linked with serious complications for pregnant women. These include hemorrhage, emergency room visits, and sepsis.
Proverbs 24:11-12 says, “Deliver those who are drawn toward death, and hold back those stumbling to the slaughter. If you say, ‘Surely we did not know this,’ does not He who weighs the hearts consider it? He who keeps your soul, does He not know it? And will He not render to each man according to his deeds?”
CDC no longer recommending MMRV shot for toddlers
The vaccine advisory committee for the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention adopted new recommendations for the child immunization schedule last Thursday.
In an 8-3 vote, the committee voted to no longer recommend the MMRV vaccine for toddlers. The combination shot is for measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella. Instead, the committee recommended a standalone vaccine for varicella, also known as chickenpox, and another shot for the other three infections.
The committee noted increased risk of seizures among toddlers who received the MMRV vaccine.
Most religious state is Mississippi; Least religious state is Vermont
Pew Research released data on the religiosity of states in America.
The most religious state was Mississippi with 50% of adults expressing a high degree of religiosity. Next up was South Carolina, South Dakota, Louisiana, and Tennessee. The least religious state was Vermont with only 13% of adults expressing a high degree of religiosity. Other states with people of low religiosity were New Hampshire, Maine, Nevada, and Oregon.
Religiosity was measured based on importance of religion, religious attendance, frequency of prayer, and belief in God.
73% of Americans now feel safe in their town
And finally, a new survey from Gallup found that more people than ever feel safe where they live despite the rise in conflicts between countries.
Gallup’s Global Safety Report found 73% of adults worldwide said they feel safe walking alone at night in their city or area. That’s up from 65% in 2006.
Feelings of safety are increasing but remain relatively low in sub-saharan Africa and Latin America. The region with the most dramatic increase in feelings of safety since 2006 is post-Soviet Eurasia.

200,000 people attend Charlie Kirk's funeral
The New York Post reported 200,000 attending Charlie Kirk’s funeral on Sunday afternoon in Phoenix. Turning Point USA’s national spokesperson Andrew Kolvet, reported “over 100 million overall streams for today’s tribute to Charlie.”
To compare, 100,000 people joined the funeral procession for Martin Luther King Jr. in 1968, and 18,000 attended the Michael Jackson memorial in 2009.
Franklin Graham: Charlie Kirk's assassin bullet inspired more bold voices for truth
Franklin Graham told the Christian Post over the weekend that Charlie’s assassin wanted to shut Charlie up, but “just the opposite effect is taking place.”
Franklin says he hopes this will “raise up an army of young people who will take a stand for Jesus Christ, who are not afraid to speak out and not afraid that they're going to be attacked or accused. We have to take a stand and be open to the truth and not be afraid to speak the truth.”
Chris Tomlin: Erika Kirk's forgiveness of killer revealed true Christianity
Recording artist Chris Tomlin who performed at the funeral was also interviewed by The Christian Post and had this to say about the event.
TOMLIN: "For Jesus to be proclaimed so boldly throughout the whole day by everyone, basically, was, what? An awakening moment in our nation. It feels like that. It feels like a shift, right? It feels like this real awakening that so many people have been praying for. I was thinking about it today.
"I think Erika's words of forgiveness, probably the words heard around the world. That simple moment of 'I forgive' was more than anybody could say. You can preach all you want, but when you see something like that, when you see the true essence of the Spirit of God in somebody; that can only come from the Spirit of God, right? That kind of forgiveness.
"We can forgive for a lot of things, but that kind of forgiveness can only come from something that somebody who really walks with God. And for people to see that and witness that -- what a moment around the world. I think so many people came to faith. And I pray it's an awakening in this nation."
2 Chronicles 7:14 says, "If My people who are called by My name humble themselves, and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land."
2025 U.S. fiscal year deficit reaches $2 trillion
The 2025 U.S. fiscal year deficit has reached $2 trillion, reports Fox News.
The monthly deficit exceeded that of the 2024 deficit for eleven months in a row. This spending deficit occurred despite an additional $350 billion in tariff collections — the highest in recorded history.
Several nations now recognize the Palestinian State
As of Monday, The United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Portugal and France have officially recognized the Palestinian state, reports the BBC. These nations join about 75% of United Nations members.
Only the United States and Panama have yet to follow suit in the Americas.
Trump on new H1-B visa applications
President Donald Trump announced last week that the new H1-B visa applications for companies to hire foreign workers would be required to pay a fee of $100,000, reports The Guardian.
India’s economy takes about $135 billion from the H1-B visa program — 96% of H1-B visas are issued to Chinese and Indian workers - about 3% of the nation’s Gross Domestic Product.
Pew Research Center: Key concern for homeschooling parents is “negative peer pressure”
Pew Research Center finds the key concern for homeschooling parents are “negative peer pressure” for 83% of homeschoolers — and “dissatisfaction with academic instruction” for 72% of parents.
Only 53% of homeschooling parents want to “provide religious instruction” for their children.
Unlike Charlie Kirk, Trump confessed he hates his opponents
The major media has noted that President Donald Trump had set himself apart from Charlie Kirk in his comments at the memorial service Monday.
The President said of Charlie that “He did not hate his opponents. He wanted the best for them.” Then, he told the crowd, “That’s where I disagreed with Charlie. I hate my opponent. And I don’t want the best for them.” His comments contrasted greatly with Erika Kirk’ willingness to forgive the assassin of her husband.
Jesus said, “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, 'Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in Heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust." (Matthew 5:43-45).
Tyler Robinson's next court appearance set for September 29th
Charlie Kirk’s alleged assassin Tyler Robinson's next court appearance is set for September 29th - next Monday at which point the judge will determine if prosecutors have enough evidence for him to stand trial.
Prosecutors have announced they will seek the death penalty in the case.
The last person to be put to death in Utah was Joseph Mitchell Parsons in 1999. There are still nine prisoners on death row in the state of Utah — some as long as 31 years. However, there were 100 murders recorded in Utah just last year.
Romans 13:3-4 reminds us “For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same. For he is God’s minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil.”
Gold Continues to Climb
Gold is still on its way up, reaching $3,748 per ounce on Monday, while silver made a record high of $44 per ounce.
Young men leaving the Democratic Party
And finally, The Hill reports that young men are leaving the Democratic Party — among white young men, that’s dropped off from 49% to 29%, and for non-white young men — a drop off of 66% to 54%.
Non-white young women Democratic registrations remain at 75%, and white young women Democratic registrations have held steady at 47%.

South Korean pastor has disappeared
A week after Pastor Son Hyun-bo from Busan Segyeoro Church in South Korea was arrested for violating public election laws, little information has been made public about his well-being or whereabouts, reports International Christian Concern.
Pastor Son, who was arrested on September 8th, is facing the charges in part for allegedly interviewing an election candidate, Jeong Seung-yoon, during a church service and uploading a video of the conversation to social media. He also faces allegations of holding a “prayer service for victory” at Jeong’s campaign office and stating, “We must vote for the right-wing candidate and truly establish God’s kingdom.”
Pastor Son has been active in contending against government overreach, including serving as a leader of the “Save Korea” group, which campaigns against the current left-leaning South Korean President Lee Myung, prime minister, and Democratic Party, who are in power.
The outcry against Pastor Son’s arrest has been strong. One representative stated openly that, “Pastor Son’s arrest is not about an individual but a suppression of all religious figures.”
Charlie Kirk’s memorial pointed the world to Christ
I felt compelled to attend Charlie Kirk’s memorial at State Farm Arena in Phoenix, Arizona yesterday. (You can watch it here)
So, on Friday and Saturday, my bride, Amy, and I drove 15 hours over two days from San Antonio, Texas with our three children – Honor, age 15, Mercy, age 13, and Valor, age 10 – to celebrate his life and grieve his death at the hands of an assassin’s bullet on September 10th at Utah Valley University.
Reportedly, 300,000 people from across America came by car and plane. Our family sat in the State Farm Arena which held 63,400 people. Next door, the Desert Diamond Arena held an additional 20,000 people who watched big video screens.
Beginning with Christian worship led by Brandon Lake, Chris Tomlin, Phil Wickham, as well as Cody and Kari Carnes, it was a deeply moving experience as speaker after speaker echoed Charlie Kirk’s call to come to Christ.
Benny Johnson came to faith in Christ through Charlie Kirk
Benny Johnson, a conservative influencer, was quite candid.
JOHNSON: “When Charlie first met me, I was a degenerate loser. I was addicted to alcohol. I had no wife, I had no kids. I had nothing going for me. After 10 years of work with Charlie Kirk, after his witnessing to my life, I have become a Christ-centered man. I am happily married to the woman of my dreams, sitting right there with our youngest son, who just turned eight months.”
He framed the assassination of Charlie Kirk in light of the truth of Genesis 50:20.
JOHNSON: “What man intends for evil. God intends for good. Evil thought that there would be a funeral today. God has created a revival right here in this house right now.” (applause)
Indeed, through the 3,200 chapters of Turning Point USA not only are more college students equipped with the truth, but many are coming to Christ.
Frank Turek: Why Charlie Kirk is in Heaven
Frank Turek is a Christian apologist who mentored Charlie with the best answers to tough questions about Christianity.
TUREK: “I want you to know that Charlie right now is in Heaven, not because he was a great husband and father. Not because he saved millions of kids out of darkness on college campuses. Not because he changed minds and chased votes to save the country. Not because he sacrificed himself for his savior. Charlie Kirk is in Heaven because his Savior sacrificed himself for Charlie Kirk.”
Tucker Carlson: “The only real solution is Jesus.”
Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson explained what made Charlie Kirk unique.
CARLSON: “The main thing about Charlie and his message, he was bringing the Gospel to the country. He was doing the thing that the people in charge hate most, which is calling for them to repent.
“So how is Charlie's message different? Charlie was a political person who was deeply interested in coalition building and in getting the right people in office because he knew that vast improvements are possible politically. But he also knew that politics is not the final answer. It can't answer the deepest questions, actually. The only real solution is Jesus.”
Secretary of State Marco Rubio highlighted Charlie’s boldness and affirmation of marriage
Secretary of State Marco Rubio highlighted Charlie Kirk’s boldness.
RUBIO: “Charlie Kirk was bold. He actively sought out to engage --peacefully, respectfully -- those who he disagreed with. As recently as two days ago, we learned of one of the hosts on CNN, who said that one of the messages he had gotten just a few days before Charlie's passing, was from him, inviting him to dialogue.
“And he did this on campuses. He did this on podcasts. He did this on radio shows. He did this on television shows. Time and again, he sought to engage those he disagreed with because he understood that we were not created to isolate ourselves from one another, but to engage.
“The irony in all this is that what our nation needs is the ability to discuss our differences openly, honestly, peacefully, respectfully. And Charlie Kirk did that more than anyone alive in America today is doing. This was the mission and work of Charlie Kirk.”
And Secretary of State Rubio appreciated Charlie’s affirmation of marriage and family to young people.
RUBIO: “Understand where we are still today. In many places where young Americans are actively told that everything that they were taught, that all the foundations that made our society and our civilization so grand, they were all wrong. They were all evil, that marriage is oppressive, that children are a burden, that America is a source of evil, not of good, in the world.
“And here was this voice that inspired a movement in which young Americans were told that is not true, the highest calling we are called to is to be in a successful marriage and to raise productive children.”
War Secretary Hegseth: “Live worthy of Charlie Kirk's sacrifice and put Christ at the center”
War Secretary Pete Hegseth explained that Charlie Kirk used the gift of persuasion on college campuses.
HEGSETH: “Charlie waged war, not with a weapon, but with a tent, a microphone, his mind, and the truth. And the gates of hell could not prevail against him.” (Matthew 16:17-19)
Secretary Hegseth spoke of Christian revival.
HEGSETH: “Charlie started a political movement, but unleashed a spiritual revival. My pastor texted me the day after that horrific event and said, ‘Pete, the devil overplayed his hand.’ Charlie started with liberty, but ended up lighting our country on fire for Christ. He started Turning Point USA, but this moment is the turning point for the USA.”
And Secretary Hegseth gave America a charge in light of Charlie Kirk’s Christian legacy.
HEGSETH: “Charlie Kirk was a citizen who had the biblical heart of a soldier of the faith, who put on every single day the full armor of God (Ephesians 6) with a smile as the Scriptures tell all Christ followers to do. Charlie Kirk: a warrior for country, a warrior for Christ. He ran the race. He finished the fight. Now, it's our turn. My charge to all of you: Live worthy of Charlie Kirk's sacrifice and put Christ at the center of your life as he advocated for giving his.”
Colossians 1:10 says, “Live a life worthy of the Lord and please Him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God.”
Donald Trump, Jr. compared Charlie Kirk’s martyrdom with Stephen
Donald Trump, Jr. compared the martyrdom of Stephen with the martyrdom of Charlie Kirk.
TRUMP JR: “Last week, Charlie joined a long line of courageous men and women who were martyred for what they believe. According to the book of Acts, the first martyr in the early Christian church was Stephen who was stoned to death. And as Stephen was being killed, he said, ‘Behold, I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing, standing, at the right hand of God.’
“There are many times in the Bible where Jesus is seated at the right hand of God, but this is the only time he's seen standing. And while the Bible isn't explicit about this, I like to think Jesus was standing to welcome Stephen, the courageous martyr into Heaven. Today. that gives me great comfort because 11 days ago, as a cowardly assassin crawled on his stomach to end Charlie's life on Earth, I'm betting Charlie saw the son of God standing tall to welcome him home.”
Vice President J.D. Vance admired Charlie Kirk’s courage
Vice President J.D. Vance shared that he’s been personally emboldened to share his faith more since Kirk’s assassination.
VANCE: “You know, I was telling somebody backstage that I always felt a little uncomfortable talking about my faith in public as much as I loved the Lord and as much it was an important part of my life. I have talked more about Jesus Christ in the past two weeks than I have my entire time in public life.” (cheers)
Vice President Vance is upset that some on the Left actually cheered Charlie Kirk’s death.
VANCE: “He was taken from us by those who despise the virtues that actually made our civilization great to begin with: dialogue, truth, seeking family and faith. In the wake of his death, we have seen some of the very worst parts of humanity. We have watched people slander him. We have watched people justify his murder and celebrate his death.”
And Vice President Vance admired Charlie Kirk’s courage.
VANCE: “It is better to face a gunman than to live your life afraid to speak the truth. It is better to be persecuted for your faith than to deny the kingship of Christ. It is better to die a young man in this world than to sell your soul for an easy life with no purpose, no risk, no love, and no truth.”
Joshua 1:9 says, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do

Iranian Christian denied a retrial for practicing his faith
Mehran Shamloui, an Iranian Christian convert from Islam, has been denied a retrial for his case by the Iranian Supreme Court, reports International Christian Concern.
Shamloui was arrested in 2024 and, in March 2025, was sentenced to 10 years and 8 months in prison simply for participating in a house church. The charges against him included “propaganda activities contrary to Islamic law,” and “membership in groups opposing the state.”
He was released from jail after he posted bail in late 2024. He fled the country and intended to travel to Europe, but was stopped in Turkey. He was deported to Iran in July 2025 because he was missing formal documentation.
Shamloui is currently serving his sentence in Iran’s Evin Prison, a notoriously deplorable institution known for mistreating its prisoners, including Christians.
Hebrews 13:3 says, “Continue to remember those in prison as if you were together with them in prison, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering.”
Iran is an Islamic Republic and a known persecutor of the Christian community. Bibles written in Farsi, the official language of Iran, are strictly prohibited, as is discussing Jesus with Muslims to share the gospel with them.
Hadi Ghaemi, the executive director of The Center for Human Rights in Iran, said, “The Christian community in Iran is facing a crisis. The Iranian authorities are abducting growing numbers of Christians and throwing absurd national security charges at them in order to imprison them for years for doing nothing other than peacefully practicing their faith.”
NY Attorney General vs. TX Attorney General over Abortion Kill Pill
Far-left Democratic New York Attorney General Letitia James is intervening in Republican Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton’s attempt to prosecute an abortionist for mailing abortion kill pills from one state to the other to undermine Texas’s pro-life laws, reports LifeSiteNews.com.
Paxton first filed his lawsuit in December 2024 against abortionist Margaret Carpenter, founder of the “Abortion Coalition for Telemedicine.” Paxton alleged that Carpenter “unlawfully provided a Collin County resident with abortion-inducing drugs that ended the life of an unborn child and resulted in serious complications for the mother, who then required medical intervention.”
Carpenter is not licensed to practice medicine in Texas.
Subsequently, in February 2025, Judge Bryan Gantt of North Texas ordered Carpenter to stop sending abortion kill pills into the state and to pay a $100,000 fine. (Carpenter also faces charges out of Louisiana for the same).
So far, New York officials have protected the abortionist from consequences via the state’s shield law, which bars cooperation with other states concerning laws against abortion. Paxton has challenged the shield law and sued the Ulster County, New York clerk who refused to enforce the fine.
Americans celebrating Charlie Kirk’s assassination held accountable
The Secret Service, several U.S. airlines, Office Depot, and Nasdaq said they were among more than 30 employers that have sanctioned or fired employees in reaction to their disturbing statements about the assassination of Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, reports The Washington Post.
Regarding the Secret Service, an agent named Anthony Pough wrote on Facebook, “If you are mourning this guy .. delete me,” in reference to Kirk’s killing. Pough accused Kirk of spewing “hate and racism on his show.”
Roughly three dozen workers are reported to have been suspended or fired over their responses to Kirk’s murder, including employees of Clemson University, MSNBC, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, and the Carolina Panthers. Plus, several local fire departments and school districts said they had also suspended or terminated employees over their remarks.
WLBT-TV reports that Lauren Stokes, the executive assistant for the Vice Chancellor of Development at the University of Mississippi, was fired for her anti-Kirk comments. She allegedly wrote, “For decades, yt [white] supremacist and reimagined Klan members like Kirk have wreaked havoc on our communities, condemning children and the populace at large to mass death for the sake of keeping their automatic guns. … So no, I have no prayers to offer Kirk or respectable statements against violence.”
WNDU reports that 18-year-old Camryn Giselle Booker, a college student at Texas Tech, was expelled after a video of her publicly celebrating Charlie Kirk’s death went viral. In the video, she is jumping around and yelling at students paying tribute to Kirk on the Lubbock, Texas campus.
Listen.
BOOKER: “Your homie dead. He got shot in the head. Your homie dead. He got shot in the head.”
After Booker was expelled, Texas Republican Governor Greg Abbott posted this comment on X. “Definitely picked the wrong school to taunt the death of Charlie Kirk. Thanks Texas Tech!”
Felicia Branch, a professor at the University of Arkansas, is on administrative leave over her vile social media post, reports the Arkansas Times.
She wrote, “No, I will not pull back from CELEBRATING that an evil man died by the method he chose to embrace. Don’t tell someone who has been targeted by people like him how to feel, how not to post, how not to celebrate, that he can no longer inflict his brand of evil.” She added that Kirk is “an evil person [who] is no longer on this earth causing immense suffering.”
Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders has called for Professor Felicia Branch to be fired.
ABC yanked Jimmy Kimmel over Charlie Kirk comments
And yesterday, ABC indefinitely suspended late-night host Jimmy Kimmel for inappropriate comments he made about the assassination of Charlie Kirk, reports Newsbusters.org.
Here’s the soundbite from Monday night.
KIMMEL: “We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid, [Tyler Robinson], who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it.”
Conservative talk show host Erik Erikson called out the leftist comedian. He said, “What Kimmel was doing was participating in the creation of the leftwing talking point that Kirk’s assassin was on the right. He did not have to participate. [Kimmel] chose to participate and circulate what was obviously, even on Monday, a lie. On top of that, it was not funny. It was hectoring and cruel.”
Erikson reported that the primary reason Kimmel is no longer on the ABC program schedule is because of the influence of Nexstar, a moderately right-leaning group of stations, that controls 32 significant ABC affiliates including New Orleans, Nashville, Syracuse, Albany, and Grand Rapids and Lansing, Michigan. Nexstar decided to stop airing Kimmel’s program.
Star Spangled Banner’s God-honoring fourth verse
And finally, on September 14, 1814, Francis Scott Key penned the immortal words of “The Star Spangled Banner.” Key was a Washington attorney sent to the British navy to secure the release of a prisoner during the War of 1812.
During his mission, the British bombarded Fort McHenry in Baltimore, Maryland. The sight of the American flag continuing to fly over the fort despite the barrage inspired the verses in the song.
Congress officially made it the national anthem over a hundred years later. The opening verse is well known. But the later verses are more obscure.
Listen to David Hedrick, a former Marine, sing the last half of verse four.
HEDRICK:
“Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation!
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: “In God is our trust;”
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O’er the land of the free, and the home of the brave.” (applause)
Indeed, Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”

Muslim man stabbed Assyrian Christian to death in France
An Assyrian Christian was stabbed to death in southern France last week.
Forty-five-year-old Ashur Sarnaya had fled to France from Iraq in 2014 during the advance of the Islamic State. He was disabled and used a wheelchair. Sarnaya often did live videos on TikTok, sharing God’s word in Arabic. His videos received tens of thousands of views.
It was during one of his live videos that someone brutally stabbed him to death. Authorities are investigating the murder. Sarnaya had previously suffered a physical attack earlier this year at the hands of Muslims.
Such attacks are becoming more common in France. There were 400 anti-Christian acts in France between January and June this year. That’s up 13% compared to the same period last year.
More French deaths than births
Speaking of France, the country recorded more deaths than births for the first time in 80 years.
France had 650,000 births last year compared to 651,000 deaths.
Steven Mosher, the President of the Population Research Institute, noted, “Bringing in massive numbers of immigrants to replace the current population—which seems to be the French approach—is a ‘solution’ that creates more problems—cultural, social, political and religious—than it solves.”
Trump defunding research with aborted babies’ tissue
In the United States, the Trump administration is defunding research that uses tissue from babies murdered in the womb.
At issue are 17 grants totaling over $22 million that funded research using human fetal tissue from abortions.
The National Institutes of Health announced it will not renew the Biden-era grants. The government agency stated, “NIH is guided by a commitment [of] valuing human life and ensuring that federally-funded research is conducted responsibly and transparently.”
Trump will send National Guard to Memphis to cut crime
President Donald Trump signed an order Monday called “Restoring Law and Order in Memphis.”
The memo establishes a task force, including the National Guard, to crack down on crime in Memphis, Tennessee.
Listen to comments from President Trump.
TRUMP: “I'm signing a presidential memorandum to establish the Memphis Safe Task Force. It's very important because of the crime that's going on, not only in Memphis, but in many cities. We're going to take care of all of them, step by step, just like we did in DC. We have virtually no crime in DC right now.”
Memphis has faced record gun violence in recent years. Tennessee Republican Governor Bill Lee supported the task force, saying he is “tired of crime holding the great city of Memphis back.”
Ecclesiastes 8:11 says, “Because the sentence against an evil deed is not executed speedily, the heart of the children of man is fully set to do evil.”
Federal Reserve cut interest rate by quarter percent
The Federal Reserve cut its key interest rate yesterday after holding rates steady previously this year.
The Fed lowered its benchmark overnight lending rate by a quarter percentage point. That brings it down to the range of 4% to 4.25%. The Fed signaled it will cut the rate two more times this year.
Barna: Only 14% of Americans have biblical view of sin
Dr. George Barna released his latest research on the worldview of Americans this week.
The study found only 14% of U.S. adults hold a consistently biblical view of sin. The research identified several major misconceptions that millions of Americans have about sin. These misconceptions include the following:
sin doesn’t come from the heart;
feelings outweigh truth;
sin isn’t life-changing; and
sin isn’t rebellion against God.
Dr. Barna noted, “As a nation, we have generally made peace with all but the most egregious or personally painful sins.”
Jeremiah 17:9 says, “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it?”
Injured student in school shooting makes miraculous recovery
And finally, a Catholic student, who was injured in a recent school shooting, is making a miraculous recovery.
Three weeks ago, a shooter opened fire into Annunciation Catholic Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The attacker killed two children and injured at least 17 more people. One of the injured children was 12-year-old Sophia Forchas.
She was shot in the head. After her hospitalization, doctors expected her to become the third fatality from the shooting. However, the hospital recently upgraded her condition from critical to serious.
Sophia’s family posted the news last week in an update to a GoFundMe campaign started on behalf of the family. They said, “Her progress to this point is being called miraculous. We are calling it a miracle. … Please continue to keep Sophia in your hearts and prayers. She is a warrior! And she is winning!!”

Muslims in Congo killed 26 Christians at funeral
Islamic extremists killed 26 Christians who were attending a funeral last Monday in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
These attacks continued for two more days. Rev. Mbula Samaki told Open Doors, “The casualty as of now stands at more than 70 Christians killed, at least 100 kidnapped, 16 houses, eight motorbikes and two vehicles burnt. It is horrible.”
Islamic extremists are continuing to target churches in the Christian-majority country to displace Christian communities.
Please pray for our persecuted brothers and sisters in Christ in Congo. The central African nation is ranked 35th on the Open Doors World Watch List of the most difficult countries to be a Christian.
Canadian court affirms Christian soldier who refused COVID shot
In Canada, a federal labor board ruled in favor of a Christian military member who refused a COVID-19 shot on religious grounds.
Canada’s Department of National Defense denied Marvin Castillo a religious exemption from the COVID shot. He was subsequently fired from his job in 2021.
In a landmark decision, Canada’s Public Sector Labor Relations and Employment Board ruled against the Department of National Defense. The decision stated, “[Castillo] was entitled to an exemption because he has a sincere religious belief that he should not receive the vaccine.”
Castillo referenced 1 Corinthians 6:19 to defend the decision he made about what to put into his body. The verse says, “Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?”
Trump targets another Venezuelan narco-terrorist boat
The United States military targeted another drug boat from Venezuela on Monday. The strike killed three people on board the vessel.
On Truth Social, President Donald Trump wrote, “The Strike occurred while these confirmed narco-terrorists from Venezuela were in International Waters transporting illegal narcotics headed to the U.S. (A DEADLY WEAPON POISONING AMERICANS!) These extremely violent drug trafficking cartels POSE A THREAT to U.S. National Security, Foreign Policy, and vital U.S. Interests.”
The United States carried out a similar strike on a boat carrying drugs from Venezuela two weeks ago.
Court greenlights Trump defunding Planned Parenthood
Last Thursday, a federal appeals court ruled that the Trump administration can defund Planned Parenthood.
The case involves a provision in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act which barred Medicaid funds from going to abortion mills. A district court blocked the provision back in July. The latest ruling overturns that preliminary injunction.
Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue, commented, “Planned Parenthood is quickly running out of friends in high and dark places, and we praise God for it. Over 40 Planned Parenthoods have already closed – we expect that number to grow over the coming weeks, and we’ll celebrate every one.”
Gen Z men support Trump; Gen Z women supported Kamala
NBC News released a new poll on U.S. adults ages 18 to 29.
The survey found Gen Z men who voted for President Trump said having children was the most important indicator of success. Being married was also a top indictor.
Meanwhile, Gen Z women who voted for Kamala Harris listed being married and having children near the bottom of their indicators of success. Instead, career fulfillment and having plenty of money were the most important. Young men who backed Harris and young women who backed President Trump similarly prioritized money and career over children and family.
Kirk’s killer: “I had the opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk and I’m going to take it.”
Officials in Utah charged Tyler Robinson with aggravated murder yesterday.
The 22-year-old is accused of assassinating conservative activist Charlie Kirk while he was speaking with students at Utah Valley University last Wednesday. Authorities said Robinson left DNA on the trigger of the rifle used to fire the deadly shot. He also left a note for his transgender partner hidden under a keyboard that said, “I had the opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk and I’m going to take it.”
Utah County Attorney Jeff Gray announced the charges. He said, “The murder of Charlie Kirk is an American tragedy.”
After listing the charges against Robinson, Gray added this.
GRAY: “I am filing a notice of intent to seek the death penalty.”
Waves of people returned to church after Charlie Kirk’s assassination
And finally, Faithwire reports waves of people returned to church over the weekend after the death of Charlie Kirk.
Kirk was an outspoken Christian. He told Deseret News earlier this year that his goal was to point people “toward ultimate purposes and toward getting back to the church, getting back to faith.”
Hundreds of people posted about their return to church over the weekend after being inspired by Kirk’s faith. Listen to the testimony of one young mother of three about the decision that she and her husband made.
YOUNG MOTHER: “After the events of the last week, Devin and I had a lot of talking about the type of life that we want for ourselves and how we want our boys to be. We talked about Charlie Kirk. We talked about a man of God who was not afraid to stand in his convictions in anything.
“We are raising three boys that will one day be men, and we want those boys to be as strong in their convictions as Charlie Kirk was. And we realized we had been doing a great disservice by not taking them to church and introducing them to faith up until this point. It is because of Charlie Kirk that we went to church today.”
Isaiah 55:6-7 says, “Seek the LORD while He may be found. Call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts. Let him return to the LORD, and He will have mercy on him. Let them turn to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.”

Trump compared Brazilian witch hunt of Bolsonaro to his trials
As The Worldview reported on September 12th, Brazil’s previous president, Jair Bolsonaro, was convicted of trying to overturn the 2022 election, and sentenced to 27 years in prison for it.
U.S. President Donald Trump responded by comparing the ordeal with his own in 2020. He said, “I thought he was a good president of Brazil, and it's very surprising that could happen very much like they tried to do with me, but they didn't get away with it at all.”
The Wall Street Journal featured a column by Mary O’Grady declaring that Brazil’s courts have been turned to Lawfare — the use of the judicial system to achieve political ends.
Nepal’s revolution leaves 51 dead and with new Prime Minister
The nation of Nepal has been caught in a maelstrom of revolution for the past week, leaving 51 people dead, government buildings destroyed, and supermarkets and politician’s homes burned to the ground, reports the BBC.
The revolution was largely instigated by Gen Z, 18 to 24-year-old college-aged youth, after a social media ban.
Nepal’s prime minister resigned, and another was appointed — the first woman leader of the Himalayan country. The nation is relying upon Sushila Karki to restore stability. She has promised $11,330 for each family where a protester was killed in the melee.
Similar youth-driven revolutions occurred in Sri Lanka in 2022 and Bangladesh in 2024, overturning these national governments as well.
Isaiah 3:12 speaks of the instability of nations in similar terms. It says, “As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.”
The nations of the world which have appointed or elected the most female leaders since 1946 are Finland, India, New Zealand, and England. The average number of nations led by female heads hovered around 6 in the 1990s and early 2000s. Today, the average has increased to 15 female leaders.
Utah Gov.: Kirk’s murderer was “deeply indoctrinated with leftist ideology”
Utah Republican Governor Spencer Cox has announced on CNN’s State of the Union that official charges will be filed today against Charlie Kirk’s alleged assassin, Tyler Robinson.
The governor also said, “The FBI has confirmed that [Robinson’s] roommate was a romantic partner, a male transitioning to female.” Cox added that evidence from family and friends is pointing to the fact that the alleged murderer had been “deeply indoctrinated with leftist ideology.”
Romans 1:28 and 29 speaks of the progression of evil: “And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder.”
Tyler Robinson’s trans roommate “hates conservatives and Christians”
Fox News has also reported that Robinson’s 22-year-old “trans roommate” "hates conservatives and Christians.” That according to an interview with a relative on Fox.
The woman, who asked to remain anonymous, told Fox News Digital her relative began to act differently when he turned 18 and said that he developed a hatred of Christians and conservatives. She explained that “He hated us. He was not raised that way, but he, over the years, has become really detached [and] been radicalized. … He has obviously gotten progressively worse the last year or two.”
Transgenderism on the rise
Transgenderism has increased across the United States — with 1.6% of American adults claiming to be such. That’s four million Americans!
Pew Research estimates that 44% of Americans know somebody who is attempting to appear to change their own gender.
The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland attempted the first gender mutilations back in 1966. The program was shut down in 1979.
Then again, in 1997, the practice was reinstated by a Dr. Stanley Biber in Trinidad, Colorado. Biber’s clinic became the gender mutilation capital of the country until the surgeon’s retirement in 2003.
These are the roots of the movement in America.
Gold and stocks hit new highs
Gold is reaching for new highs — scraping $3,670 per ounce on Monday. Silver reached $42.60 per ounce. That’s up 41% and 38% respectively over the previous year.
Stocks are up similarly. The NASDAQ reached 22,340 points yesterday, a 27% increase over last year.
Meanwhile, the median house selling price has dropped a total of 7% since late 2022.
Teen reels in 177-pound Halibut
And finally, 13-year-old Jackson Denio of New Hampshire reeled in a 177-pound Atlantic Halibut off the New England coast last week. That could be a world record for a youth catch.
After wrestling with the fish for a half an hour on the line, it took three men to get the monster in the boat.
DENIO: “It took the three deckhands and the captain to get it in the boat, and then, once it was in the boat, everybody was just yelling and cheering.
FRIEND: “Jackson! Whoo!”
The largest halibut on record weighed 515 pounds, caught in Alaska in 1996.

Syrian Christians facing “accelerated cultural erasure”
Radical Muslim jihadis and other extremist groups have carried out brutal mass killings and other human rights violations against Syria's religious minorities, prompting calls from religious freedom advocates for the United States to take action, reports The Christian Post.
Dr. Morhaf Ibrahim, president of the Alawites Association of the United States, says the attacks against Syria's Christian, Alawite and Druze communities are not just random acts of violence.
"It's a deliberate campaign of terror," Ibrahim declared during a Wednesday press conference AAUS hosted on Capitol Hill to discuss the atrocities committed against Syrian ethno-religious minorities.
Since the fall of the Bashar al-Assad regime in December 2024, Syria's religious minorities are facing a rapid increase in violence from foreign jihadis, Assad loyalists and militias unleashed by Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa.
After the Islamic alliance Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, which is made up of former Islamic State and Al Qaeda fighters, ousted President Bashar al-Assad, religious freedom advocates have feared for the safety of Christians and other minority groups.
Sam Brownback, the former United States Ambassador-at-Large for International Religious Freedom, talked about what he thinks needs to happen now.
BROWNBACK: “I just know that right now is a critical moment to get the structure of Syrian government correct, where it needs to provide safety for everybody. It needs to be decentralized.
“The minority groups need to be able to defend themselves, and you'll be able to have equal citizenship. It's important right now to get the structure, or you will have genocide in the future. It will go poorly.”
The Christian back story in Syria is demonstrable, Of the 325 bishops who took part in the First Council of Nicaea in A.D. 325, twenty were from Syria.
Suspected assassin of Charlie Kirk in custody
The man suspected of murdering conservative influencer Charlie Kirk is now in custody, and has been identified as 22-year-old Utah resident Tyler Robinson, reported LifeSiteNews.com.
As police circulated images of the suspected shooter on Thursday, Robinson’s father became convinced the killer was his son and confronted him, reports CNN.
He asked, “Tyler, is this you? This looks like you.” His son acknowledged that it was him, and when his father urged him to turn himself in, Tyler suggested that he would rather kill himself. But after his father convinced him to talk with a youth pastor, Tyler agreed to be taken into custody around 11:00pm Thursday night.
His arrest was first announced by President Donald Trump Friday morning on Fox and Friends.
TRUMP: “I think with a high degree of certainty, we have him in custody.”
LAWRENCE JONES: “This is going to be a federal case, and there's many of us believe that Charlie was targeted because of his political ideology.”
TRUMP: “Yeah.”
JONES: “What's going to happen to this guy?”
TRUMP: “Well, I hope he's going to be found guilty, I would imagine. And I hope he gets the death penalty. What he did, Charlie Kirk was the finest person. He didn't deserve this.”
Genesis 9:6 says, “Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed, for God made man in His own image.”
Robinson’s hatred of Charlie Kirk
A family member of Robinson’s told investigators that the suspected shooter “had become more political in recent years,” and in particular had lashed out at Charlie Kirk at a recent family dinner, reports CNN.
But, ironically enough, several years ago, in high school, Robinson – like his family – was politically conservative, and supported President Donald Trump ahead of the 2020 election.
Robinson attended Utah State University for one semester in 2021. He was a pre-engineering major at the university but took a leave of absence after his first semester. Robinson then enrolled at Dixie Technical College in St. George. He is currently a third-year student in the electrical apprenticeship program, and obtained an apprentice electrician license in 2022.
He drifted away from the Mormonism of his parents and became deeply connected to an on-line gaming community.
Kirk’s alleged assassin lived with transgender partner
In a related development, the New York Post reports that Charlie Kirk’s alleged assassin, Tyler Robinson, lived with his transgender partner.
That individual, who has yet to be publicly identified by the authorities, is now fully cooperating with the FBI.
According to public records, Lance Twiggs, age 22, resided at the same address where Robinson lived. A relative of Twiggs confirmed to The Post Saturday that “yes, they were roommates.” Twiggs is a male pretending to be female.
They shared an apartment in Saint George, Utah which is approximately four hours away from Utah Valley University in Orem, where Robinson allegedly shot Kirk. Twiggs said he "had no idea" Robinson was allegedly planning to assassinate the Turning Point USA founder. The person is not currently accused of any criminal activity in connection with the assassination.
The FBI had text messages and other communications between Robinson and his partner that helped FBI agents zero in on Robinson. Officials said the FBI took evidence from their apartment, including computers, which has been sent to Quantico for review.
Kirk was compassionate as he dialogued with a transgender student
Charlie Kirk was known for respectfully disagreeing with liberal college students on a wide range of issues, political and religious, including with this 19-year-old woman pretending to be a man.
Listen to both Kirk’s commitment to the truth and compassion in a conversation which Turning Point posted in May.
STUDENT: “I just want to say I'm a transgender male. What age should kids be able to get things, like, hormone therapy? Because I don't know what's true, what's not."
KIRK: “Tell me. Are you comfortable telling me your story?”
STUDENT: “I've known that since, like, third grade, and I'm currently 19, almost 20. I have known basically since then. I didn't start going by, like, a different name until seventh and eighth grade, I just don't know, like, with the med…, like, the whole medical stuff, like, what's true, what's not, what's helpful. Because I've heard so many different opinions.”
KIRK: “First of all, thank you so much for that.”
STUDENT: “Of course.”
KIRK: “And so I'm gonna have an opinion that very few people will ever tell you, which is, I want you to be very cautious putting drugs into your system in the pursuit of changing your body. I, instead, encourage you to work on what's going on in your brain first. I think what you need first and foremost is just a diagnosis, just someone that is going to listen to what you've gone through, listen to what else is going on.
“My prayer for you, and again, very few people will say this, I actually want to see you be comfortable in how you were born."
STUDENT: “Yeah.”
KIRK: “I know that you might not feel that way, but I think that is something that you can achieve. I think that with the right team and the right people, you don't have to wage war on your body. You can learn to love your body.”
People have posted fascinating comments online.
One said, “This is what the Left calls hate! His response was pure compassion!” Another said, “He was such a kind and caring man and they murdered him for it.” A third person said, “Charlie … gave caring and respectful advice. Not at all the hateful monster the Left makes him out to be.” And another said, Charlie “WAS on his way to becoming the youngest president ever elected in America. Bill Clinton was 46 in November '92. Charlie Kirk was gonna break that record. This loss will be felt for years!”
Indeed, the Turning Point canopied tent proclaimed, “Prove me wrong.” Clearly, since the Left couldn’t prove Charlie Kirk wrong, they killed him.
Erika Kirk to assassin: “You have no idea what you just have unleashed!”
On Friday, from the headquarters of Turning Point USA in Phoenix, Arizona, Erika Kirk, the widow of Charlie, addressed the nation for 17-minutes, just two days after she witnessed her husband assassinated in front of her at Utah Valley University.
Listen.
ERIKA KIRK: “I want to thank the first responders who struggled heroically, heroically, to save Charles' life, and the police who acted bravely to make sure that there were no other victims on that terrible afternoon.
“I want to thank President Trump and his incredible family for the same. Mr. President, my husband loved you, and he knew that you loved him too. He did. Your friendship was amazing.”
Erika Kirk had a specific message for those responsible for taking her husband’s life.
ERIKA KIRK: “The evildoers responsible for my husband's assassination have no idea what they have done. They killed Charlie because he preached a message of patriotism, faith, and of God's merciful love.
“They should all know this. If you thought that my husband's mission was powerful before, you have no idea what you just have unleashed across this entire country. You have no idea the fire that you have ignited within this wife. The cries of this widow will echo around the world like a battle cry.”

Chinese pastor dies after years of persecution
After enduring years of persecution, Pastor Zhao Huaiguo, founder of Bethel Church in Hunan, China, has died, leaving behind a legacy of faith and resilience, reports International Christian Concern.
In 2007, Pastor Zhao relocated to Hunan to establish Bethel Church, with a focus on serving elderly Christians and those who had previously avoided the Communist Party-sanctioned Three-Self Patriotic Movement churches.
Since Bethel Church’s founding, Pastor Zhao and his wife have faced relentless attacks. In 2019, authorities raided Bethel Church, confiscated Bibles, destroyed property, and pressured members to join the Three-Self movement. Then, in November 2024, Zhao and his wife were detained for 10 days for delivering unsanctioned online training. Pastor Zhao died in his early 50s.
Revelation 2:10b says, “Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you life as your victor’s crown.”
Former Brazilian President Bolsonaro sentenced to 27 years in prison
On September 11th, a panel of the Brazilian Supreme Court sentenced former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro to 27 years in prison after convicting him of attempting to overthrow the government following his loss in the country’s 2022 election, reports The Epoch Times.
Prosecutors charged Bolsonaro with five counts, including an attempted coup, being part of an armed criminal organization, attempted violent abolition of democratic rule of law, damage characterized by violence, and a serious threat against the state’s assets and deterioration of listed heritage.
Bolsonaro has denied any involvement and said that he is the target of political persecution under the administration of his former competitor, Brazilian President Luiz Lula.
Trump honors the power of prayer
In the United States, President Donald Trump announced the “America Prays” initiative in preparation for the country’s 250th birthday next year.
The White House is asking if one million Americans can dedicate one hour a week to praying for the U.S.
Listen to comments that President Trump gave this week at the Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C.
TRUMP: “So, America has always been a nation that believes in the power of prayer. And we will never apologize for our faith, ever, ever, never, never. We will never surrender our God-given rights. We will defend our liberties, our values, our sovereignty, and we will defend our freedom.”
DHS to offer $110 million of security to Christian groups
The Department of Homeland Security awarded $110 million in security grants to faith-based organizations last month.
The move came just a week before the deadly mass shooting at Annunciation Catholic Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
A Senior Department of Homeland Security official said, “DHS is laser-focused on ensuring the safety of the American people. Instead of using grant money to fund climate change initiatives and political pet projects, we are using this money to protect American communities—especially places where people gather in prayer.”
Charlie Kirk’s assassin’s cartridges contained ‘transgender” ideology
Law enforcement have found a rifle near the Utah Valley University campus where conservative influencer Charlie Kirk was shot and killed on September 10th. The cartridges were all “engraved” with expressions of “transgender and anti-fascist ideology,” reports LifeSiteNews.com.
On Thursday morning, Steven Crowder posted to X an exclusively obtained email from the American Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) which shared internal findings about the weapon used by Kirk’s yet-unidentified assassin.
The ATF message said, “The suspect fired one shot from an elevated position on a rooftop in an adjacent building on the campus and surveillance video shows the suspect jumping off and fleeing the area on foot.”
Law enforcement, including ATF, “located an older model imported Mauser .30-06 caliber bolt action rifle wrapped in a towel in a wooded area near the campus,” in a location that “appears to match the suspect’s route of travel. The spent cartridge was still chambered in addition to three unspent rounds at the top-fed magazine. All cartridges have engraved wording on them, expressing transgender and anti-fascist ideology.”
One person at the scene reported that when he was shot, Kirk had been speaking about “how many trans mass shooters there have been.”
Appearing on Fox News, former FBI Agent Stuart Kaplan provided his analysis.
KAPLAN: “This assassination was a very well planned, very well-orchestrated plot that was put in motion days before. This individual had a plan of escape, to elude detection of being out up on a rooftop, and also being able to evade and elude law enforcement after that shot was taken. This assassination of Charlie Kirk, to me, is indicative of a professional hit.”
Charlie Kirk wanted to be remembered for his courage and faith
On the Iced Coffee Hour podcast, Charlie Kirk was once asked a provocative question.
HOST: “How do you want to be remembered?”
KIRK: “If I die?”
HOST: “Everything just goes away. How would you, if you could be associated with one thing, how would you want to be remembered?”
KIRK: “I want to be remembered for, for courage for my faith. That would be the most important thing. Most important thing is my faith in my life.”
How Charlie Kirk shared Christ with an atheist student
Charlie Kirk, an evangelical Christian, spent most of his time on college campuses having dialogue with students with whom he disagreed. As you can hear from this exchange, recorded some time ago, he did not hesitate to share Christ.
STUDENT: “Are you a Christian by any chance?”
KIRK: “Very, very much.”
STUDENT: So, like, why is that exactly?”
KIRK: “Oh, Jesus saved my life. I'm a sinner, gave my life to Christ, most important decision I ever made.”
STUDENT: “So, you believe the Bible is real?”
KIRK: “Yes, I believe the Bible is true and real.”
STUDENT: “Why is that?”
KIRK: “Well, I could give you the technical answer. There's never been an archeological discovery that has contradicted the truth of the Bible. And then, of course, the wisdom. There is not a truth of the Bible, that if you apply to your life, your life does not improve it dramatically.
“And then finally, we have the most accurate and transparent, historically robust account that one can have, of the most important figure ever to live in the history of the world: Jesus of Nazareth. And the resurrection is the pinpoint of my belief that Jesus did rise from the grave so that we may live.”
STUDENT: “What makes Christian mythology real?”
KIRK: “So, that's not mythology, but that is theology. If Genesis 1:1 and the resurrection is true, anything in the Bible is possible. You're looking at the greatest miracle. The greatest miracle is creation, and then the fact that Jesus rose from the dead. And I say, ‘How do you know that Jesus rose from the dead?’
“Well, show me another historical piece of a story where so many people willingly died a brutal death for a lie. Every single person around Him had everything to lose, and yet they went to the absolute death, from Paul to Peter to James, saying that, ‘Jesus is Lord. Jesus rose from the dead.’
“Not to mention, if you were gonna fake a story, you would not use female witnesses in the ancient world. In the Scriptures, it said that the women were the first ones to see Jesus Christ. If you're trying to fake a story, you would never do that.”
2 Thessalonians 3:1 was no doubt on the heart of Charlie Kirk as he shared his faith so publicly and so boldly. The Apostle Paul wrote, “Pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored.”
Charlie Kirk urged young people to come to Christ
In one of Charlie Kirk’s final X posts this past Saturday, he wrote, "Jesus defeated death so you can live,” reports Fox News.
Kirk was a significant figure who inspired millions of high school and college students not only to become engaged politically, but to consider the claims of Jesus Christ and live lives guided by faith.
Turning Point has a branch focused purely on faith, called Turning Point Faith, "dedicated to empowering Christians to put their faith into action."
Pastor Rob McCoy, who is founder of Godspeak Calvary Chapel and the co-chair of Turning Point Faith, said Charlie Kirk called him his pastor but that he prefers to be known as his “friend and greatest fan.”
Pastor McCoy said, "Charlie never used violence but was threatened every day with violence by those who couldn’t contend with logic and truth — and now they have done to my friend what evil always does. It takes away life."
McCoy said, "Charlie did not die. Instead, he has begun to truly live. His life was secured eternally by his Savior, Jesus Christ. This truth allowed Charlie to face every threat with courage because he didn’t fear death."
Psalm 27:1 says, “The Lord is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?”
McCoy added, "All evil knows is death, and they derive power from death. Charlie lived for life and will be remembered for this. My heart is broken for his family — his wife Erika and his two precious children. Evil has not prevailed, and it will not win."
American conservative social media activist Robby Starbuck said “Charlie’s greatest achievement is talking about God to young people during a time when too many were afraid to do that. The result has been a revival on college campuses all over the nation. It’s our responsibility to carry on [Charlie’s] work now."

Papua New Guinea held National Repentance Day
Papua New Guinea held its National Repentance Day last month with prayer and worship gatherings across the country. The event began in 2007 to remember the nation’s Christian heritage.
The island country in Oceania is home to over 10 million people, most of whom identify as Christian. Papua New Guinea amended its constitution in March to declare itself a Christian nation.
Rev. Jack Urame leads the Lutheran Evangelical Church in the country. He spoke at the recent event, calling for genuine repentance. He said, “Repentance is a way of life, acknowledging God as the source of our life, our country, and our very existence.”
Matthew 3:8 says, “Bear fruit in keeping with repentance.”
Nearly half of Evangelicals are in Africa
Researchers shared data on global evangelicalism at an event hosted by the World Evangelical Alliance last week.
Dr. Gina Zurlo, editor of the World Christian Database, estimates that there are up to 937 million Evangelicals worldwide. Also, the center of evangelicalism has shifted.
Nearly half of Evangelicals are in Africa, 26% are in Asia, and only 11% are in North America. The country with the largest Evangelical population is now China, not the United States.
Poland shot down suspected Russian drones
Reuters reports that Poland shot down suspected Russian drones that entered its airspace yesterday.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said it was “the closest we have been to open conflict since World War II.” But he also said he had “no reason to believe we're on the brink of war.”
Russia denied responsibility for the incident.
This marks the first time a NATO member has fired shots since Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022.
Conservative activist Charlie Kirk assassinated on college campus
Charlie Kirk, the 31-year-old Christian founder of Turning Point USA, a massive conservative student organization on 3,500 college campuses, was fatally shot and killed on Wednesday, September 10th by an assassin at a Utah Valley University event in Orem, Utah, reports The Blaze.com.
Justin Hickens was a witness, reports NBC News.
HICKENS: “I was about 20 yards away on Charlie's left. There were thousands of people there. Unfortunately, there was no metal detectors. There was security by Charlie. But, you know, anybody could have shown up with whatever unfortunately. And I, I happen to kind of maneuver my way down close on the side.
“The first interaction probably took about 10 minutes, it was a religious-related exchange. And then there was someone who stepped up, ironically, coincidentally, who asked the question about mass shootings. And about 60 to 90 seconds in, we just saw, we heard a big, loud shot. I saw a bunch of blood come out of Charlie. I saw his body kind of kick back and go limp, and everybody dropped to the ground.
“Luckily, there were no other bullets sprayed into the crowd, because nobody was really able to go anywhere. It was just like a big open pavilion.”
Kirk had 5.3 million followers on his X account and drew an audience of more than 500,000 monthly listeners to podcasts of his radio program, "The Charlie Kirk Show." He also authored or contributed to several books, including Time for a Turning Point: Setting a Course Toward Free Markets and Limited Government for Future Generations as well as The College Scam: How America's Universities Are Bankrupting and Brainwashing Away the Future of America's Youth, reports Reuters.
Utah Republican Governor Spencer Cox characterized the shooting this way.
COX: “I want to be very clear that this is a political assassination. We are endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable rights. First one of those is life. And today, a life was taken.
“Charlie Kirk was, first and foremost, a husband and a dad to two young children. He was also very much politically involved, and that's why he was here on campus. Charlie believed in the power of free speech and debate to shape ideas and to persuade people.”
While police initially arrested an older man as a suspect, he was subsequently released, reports The Daily Mail. Then, after FBI Director Kash Patel had a subject in custody, he was also released. The manhunt continues.
Blaze Media CEO Tyler Cardon said, "Charlie Kirk was one of one. He was a gifted communicator, loving husband and father, visionary builder, and a faithful Christian. He was the most effective representative of conservative Christian values of his generation. A force of nature. I will miss him dearly."
Conservative CNN commentator Scott Jennings said this.
JENNINGS: “I'll be honest with you, I am in utter disbelief at this. I sat in this room last summer, the night they shot the president. And now they shot Charlie. I'm not sure it's safe to be an outspoken conservative walking around in America right now.
“This nation is in desperate need of prayer and some kind of an intervention. What was Charlie doing? Making a speech, engaging in rhetoric, having a debate. That's the bedrock of our nation.”
Kirk’s appearance at Utah Valley University was the kick-off event for The American Comeback Tour in which students, who disagreed with him, were invited to come to the microphone at the “Prove Me Wrong” table and ask Kirk a question.
Blaze TV host Sara Gonzales was incredulous.
GONZALES: “Charlie is doing this tour. Why? Because he wants to have a respectful dialogue with people who don't agree with him. That's the entire intention. That's why he sits there and he invites people up to the mic. He doesn't have to have a mic there. He doesn't have to invite people with opposing opinions up there.
“The literal intention behind all of this is to have a civil debate, regardless of your opinion. And apparently, in this country, you can't have a differing opinion from the woke radical ideology without someone attempting to kill you.”
Turning Point USA, whose revenue exceeded $81 million in 2022, has not only influenced multiple American elections, but has also sparked difficult conversations, changed perspectives, and helped build new connections on college campuses.
President Trump addressed the nation last night on September 10th.
TRUMP: “I am filled with grief and anger at the heinous assassination of Charlie Kirk on a college campus in Utah. Charlie inspired millions, and tonight, all who knew him and loved him are united in shock and horror.
“Charlie was a patriot who devoted his life to the cause of open debate and the country that he loved so much, the United States of America. He's a martyr for truth and freedom, and there has never been anyone who was so respected by youth.
“Charlie was also a man of deep, deep faith. And we take comfort in the knowledge that he is now at peace with God in Heaven.
“This is a dark moment for America. Charlie Kirk traveled the nation, joyfully engaging with everyone interested in good faith debate. His mission was to bring young people into the political process, which he did better than anybody – ever -- to share his love of country and to spread the simple words of common sense. On campuses nationwide, he championed his ideas with courage, logic, humor and grace.”
President Trump objected to how the Left and the media have demonized conservatives like Charlie Kirk.
TRUMP: “It's long past time for all Americans and the media to confront the fact that violence and murder are the tragic consequence of demonizing those with whom you disagree day after day, year after year, in the most hateful and despicable way possible. For years, those on the radical Left have compared wonderful Americans, like Charlie, to Nazis and the world's worst mass murderers and criminals. This kind of rhetoric is directly responsible for the terrorism that we're seeing in our country today, and it must stop right now.”
And Pastor Greg Laurie of Harvest Christian Fellowship shared this emotional reaction.
LAURIE: “I'm sure many of you have heard the heartbreaking news. Charlie Kirk has died. This is an incredible loss. Charlie was such a courageous young man.
“He was not only a bold and unwavering voice for Biblical truth in our culture, but also a devoted follower of Jesus Christ, a husband and a family man. He will be deeply missed.
“As shocking as this news is, we can take comfort in knowing that Charlie is now in Heaven. The moment he took his last breath here on Earth, he took his first breath in the presence of the Lord. That is the hope we hold on to as believers: eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ.”
Charlie Kirk is survived by his wife Erika, a former Miss Arizona USA beauty pageant winner, and their two children.
Phillip Brown, a Christian businessman in Belton, Texas, said, “I pray that more young men will take his place and not be silenced.”
Hero of 9/11 remembered
And finally, today marks 24 years since the tragic 9/11 attacks.
In the early morning of September 11, 2001, 19 al-Qaeda terrorists hijacked four commercial airliners. The terrorists crashed two of the planes into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City. The third plane crashed into the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia. And the fourth plane crashed in a field in Pennsylvania as passengers fought back against the hijackers.
One of those passengers was a Christian man named Todd Beamer. A call from the plane’s phone records how he recited the Lord’s prayer and Psalm 23 before confronting the terrorists. The plane crashed, killing everyone on board but saving the hijackers intended target, perhaps the U.S. Capitol or the White House.
Beamer’s last recorded words were “Are you guys ready? Let’s roll.” It became a rallying cry in the wake of the attacks which left nearly 3,000 people dead.
Psalm 23:4 says, “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, f

Australia outlaws certain prayers
Christian Daily reports that the attorney general of New South Wales, Australia reaffirmed a ban on certain kinds of prayers last week.
The southeastern state of Australia enacted a ban on conversion practices earlier this year. The law prohibits “performing a ritual, such as an exorcism or prayer-based practice to change or suppress someone’s sexual orientation or gender identity.”
Lyle Shelton is the national director of the Family First Australia political party. He wrote online, “Some prayers are now illegal in New South Wales. If a mum, dad, pastor, or friend prays with someone who asks for help to follow God’s Word, they could face sanction.”
Shelton called for people to pray as the early church did in Acts 4:29. The verse says, “Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word.”
Israel carried out a strike on Hamas leaders in Qatar yesterday.
Israel carried out a strike on Hamas leaders in Qatar yesterday.
Hamas said the attack killed five members but did not kill the negotiating delegation. The delegation was meeting in Qatar’s capital of Doha to consider a U.S. proposal for a ceasefire in Gaza.
It appears to be the first time Israel carried out an attack in Qatar. However, it’s not Israel’s first strike outside its borders recently. Israel carried out strikes on Hamas leaders in Lebanon and Iran last year.
10,000 Brits march for life
About 10,000 Brits participated in the March for Life United Kingdom on Saturday.
The event started with church and prayer services followed by the march and speeches from pro-life leaders.
Carla Lockhart, Chair of the Pro-Life Parliamentary Group, addressed the crowd.
SPEAKER: “Ladies and gentlemen, young people, boys and girls, what a privilege it is to stand before you today in the streets of London.
“I traveled from Northern Ireland this morning to stand in solidarity with you, fellow campaigners, who speak up for life.
“Friends, today's theme is human rights for all humans. Then surely this simple truth must be the foundation upon which we build. The most basic human right is the right to life.”
Isabel Vaughan-Spruce, the co-director of March for Life, spoke at the event. She had previously faced arrest for praying silently outside an abortion mill.
Vaughan-Spruce reflected on the success of the march. She said, “Whilst the center of London seemed to have erupted in chaos on Saturday, with police desperately trying to control various protests and arresting hundreds of people, the pro-life crowd exemplified the peace and joy of those who are confident that that their cause is just, and their hope is rooted in something greater than politics.”
Trump announces protection of prayer in public schools
In the United States, President Donald Trump addressed the Religious Liberty Commission at the Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C. on Monday.
Trump announced that the Department of Education will soon issue new guidance protecting the right to prayer in public schools.
Listen to comments from President Trump.
TRUMP: “When faith gets weaker, our country seems to get weaker. When faith gets stronger, as it is right now, we're having a very good period of time, after some rough years.
“Under the Trump administration, we're defending our rights and restoring our identity as a nation under God. We are one nation under God, and we always will be.” (applause)
Psalm 33:12 says, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people He has chosen as His own inheritance.”
Florida first state to end vaccine requirements
Florida announced plans last week to become the first state to end vaccine requirements. Not just COVID vaccine requirements, but all vaccine requirements.
Listen to comments from Florida Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo.
LADAPO: “Your body is a gift from God. What you put into your body, (applause) what you put into your body, is because of your relationship with your body and your God. I don't have that right. Government does not have that right!”
The plan includes ending all vaccine mandates for school-aged children.
Americans having fewer children
And finally, Gallup released a new survey on Americans’ ideal family size.
On average, U.S. adults think 2.7 is the ideal number of children for a family to have. That’s down from 3.6 in the 1950s.
Meanwhile, the actual U.S. birth rate is at an all-time low of 1.6 births per woman. That’s down from 3.7 in the 1950s. The replacement rate is generally defined as 2 children per woman.
The survey notes, “Men, U.S. adults who attend religious services weekly or monthly, Republicans, people of color, and men under age 50 are significantly more likely than their counterparts to prefer three or more children.”
Psalm 127:3 says, “Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb is a reward.”

Nigerian Muslims kill and injure Christian farmers
On August 27th, when five Nigerian Christians went to check on their farms located in Bauchi State, they found Fulani Muslim herdsmen grazing their cattle on the land owned by the Christians. The argument led to the Muslims killing a Christian farmer and wounding three others, reports Morning Star News.
Rev. Samson Habila, local chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, said, “We solicit that we all go on our knees for prayers to our loving God to bring this conflict to a swift end for the betterment of our land and people.”
In a separate incident on the same day, Muslim herdsmen assaulted two Christian women and a teenager who were on their way back from their farm. Naomi Sabo, was cut on her hand with a machete, her teenage son was cut with a machete, and a third victim, another Christian woman, had her ear cut off by the Muslims.
In a span of two weeks in late August, hundreds of Nigerian Christian farmers lost their crops to Muslim Fulani herdsmen who took their cattle to graze on them.
According to Open Doors’ 2025 World Watch List, Nigeria is the 7th most dangerous country on Earth for Christians. Of the 4,476 Christians killed for their faith worldwide during the reporting period, 3,100 of those Christians -- or 69% -- lived in Nigeria.
Russia launched 800 drones against Ukraine
Russia has stepped up its drone attacks on Ukraine, in its largest salvo since the beginning of the war, reports KGOU Radio.
The aggressor launched 800 drones over the weekend — hitting the government building in Kyiv for the first time.
Japanese Prime Minister resigns
Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba has announced his resignation.
Japan’s economy is still hurting. The nation’s real Gross Domestic Product is just now recovering to 2019 levels, after an extended 5-year recession.
Japan’s national debt is the highest in the world, at 255% of GDP.
The Japanese government’s proposed budget for 2026 represents another 8% increase, year over year. Indeed, 27% of the budget is set aside just to service the nation’s debt.
G7 vs BRICS
The Group of 7 or “G7” nations includes Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
BRICS is now recognized as the competing force opposing the G7 nations. BRICS includes Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Egypt, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Iran, and the United Arab Emirates.
In a BRICS summit, spearheaded by Brazil’s socialist president, Luiz Lula, the mostly southern and eastern world powers worked on what they called “joint responses to tariffs and sanctions under the Trump administration and discussions on a multipolar world order.”
Thousands of Brazilian protestors object to trial of Jair Bolsonaro
Tens of thousands of Brazilians have taken the streets over in the last week, protesting the trial of Brazil’s former president, Jair Bolsonaro, reports the Associated Press.
He is facing 46 years in prison for allegedly supporting an attempt to overturn the 2022 election. Plus, Bolsonaro’s opponents also claim that he encouraged a protest on January 8, 2023 that resulted in several millions of dollars of damage to the capital building.
Brazil’s Supreme Court is expecting to sentence the former president later this week.
Bolsonaro was a pro-life president, and opposed homosexual marriage for his country. The current president, Luiz Lula, has committed himself to the pro-abortion and LGBTQ agenda for the nation since his election in 2022.
47% of Brazilians receive welfare
In a related story, 47% of Brazilians receive a welfare check from the government.
The most welfare dependent states are in the north and northeast of the country. These twelve states record more welfare recipients than jobs among their residents.
The socialist candidate in the last election, Lula de Silva, won 10 out of 12 of these states. He only won the votes with three other states in the election.
God is sovereign over all. Jesus told Pontius Pilate, “You would have no authority over Me at all unless it had been given you from above.”
Company that profits from porn fined $5 million
The Canadian company Aylo has been fined $5 million by the US Federal Trade Commission for portraying certain egregious forms of sexual sin on its websites (which include PornHub).
This amounts to a slap on the wrist for a company operating on an estimated $700 million of annual income. That’s about 0.7%.
The Federal Trade Commission has charged the company with allowing non-consensual and child-abuse related material on its websites.
Democrats blocking all Trump's civilian nominees
The U.S. government has come to loggerheads.
Thus far, not a single Trump civilian nominee has been confirmed by a voice vote through the US Senate — due to Democrat filibusters. That’s the first time this has occurred in the nation’s government in a century.
That compares to 65% of Trump’s nominees clearing the Senate by voice vote in his first term and 57% of Joe Biden’s nominees confirmed by voice vote.
GOP Senate Majority Leader John Thune is considering pulling the nuclear option, or a rule change, to speed up the approval process, according to the Daily Caller.
Few Americans, Christians included, believe we are sinful
American Christians are pretty much agreed on this statement: “Sin is real, but people are basically good at heart.” That according to the latest George Barna survey.
The pollsters discovered that 82% of Catholics and 70% of self-identified born-again Christians believe in “The basic goodness of humanity.”
And only 57% of Catholics and 85% of self-identified born again Christians believe Romans 3:23 — that “All have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”
Meryl Streep to voice Aslan in new “Chronicles of Narnia”
And finally, Netflix plans to release the next movie installment of C.S. Lewis’ Chronicles of Narnia story in November of 2026.
Filming began last month which included a well-publicized street chase of Jadis, “the White Witch” last weekend.
Brace yourself.
Greta Gerwig, best known for directing the feminist hit film “Barbie” released in 2023, is directing this next Narnia release. Not surprisingly, Meryl Streep is slated to voice Aslan. (The character of Aslan, Lewis’s Lion, is meant as a personification of Jesus Christ).
Movieguide, the Christian ministry led by founder Ted Baehr, calls this “a dangerous cultural shift,” and has initiated a petition to "respect the theological foundation of the story.”

Russian pastor sent to prison labor camp for sermon
On September 3, Russian Pastor Nikolay Romanyuk, age 63, was found guilty of making “Public calls to implement activities directed against the security of the Russian Federation,” reports International Christian Concern.
Despite the Russian pastor’s age and poor health conditions, the court sentenced him to four years in a prison labor camp.
In a statement before the court, Pastor Romanyuk said, “Yes, I gave a sermon in which I touched on military, albeit forced, murder. I do not retract what I said. I set forth my personal view and attitude towards the taking of a human life. This is my personal attitude as a clergyman.”
Pastor Romanyuk gave his now-criminal sermon a week after Russia partially mobilized its forces against Ukraine in September 2022 at the Holy Trinity Pentecostal Church in a suburb of Moscow, Russia.
From the pulpit, Romanyuk preached, “It was written in our [church] doctrine that we are pacifists and cannot participate in this. It is our right to profess this on the basis of Holy Scripture.”
Svetlana Zhukova, Pastor Romanyuk’s daughter, wrote on social media, “Imagine, Dad was convicted for his opinion, his position. There is no crime. Not a single person suffered from his actions. The state did not suffer at all.”
Acts 5:29 says, “We must obey God rather than men.”
Ted Cruz torches Tim Kaine for describing God-given rights as 'very, very troubling'
Here in America, on September 3rd, the U.S. Foreign Relations Committee addressed the nomination of Riley Barnes to be Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor.
In response to Barnes’ introductory statement before the committee, Democratic Senator Tim Kaine of Virginia objected to Barnes who underscored Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s assertion that our rights come from God, not government, reports The Christian Post.
Listen.
KAINE: “This is a quote from Secretary Rubio, our rights come from God, our Creator, not from our laws, not from our governments. I find that very, very troubling. …
“The notion that our rights do not come from our laws or our government should make people very, very nervous, because people of any religious tradition, or none, are entitled to the equal protection of the laws under the 14th Amendment. It shouldn't matter what their religious background is, what they think about God or the Creator, what their church affiliation is.”
Republican Senator Ted Cruz of Texas, another member of the U.S. Foreign Relations Committee, took issue with Senator Kaine.
CRUZ: “Senator Kaine said, in this hearing, that he found it a radical and dangerous notion that you would say, ‘Our rights came from God and not from government.’ I just walked into the hearing as he was saying that and I almost fell out of my chair, because that ‘radical and dangerous notion,’ in his words, is literally the founding principle upon which the United States of America was created.
“And if you do not believe me, then you can believe perhaps the most prominent Virginian to ever serve, Thomas Jefferson, who wrote, in the Declaration of Independence, ‘We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, and that they are endowed by their Creator,’ -- not by government, not by the Democratic National Committee, but by God, -- ‘with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.’
“I have to say, it is stunning to me that the principle that God has given us natural rights is now deemed by Democrats some radical and dangerous notion. Mr. Jefferson was right when he wrote those words. Government exists to protect those rights.”
Christian foster parents sue Massachusetts for requiring them to support ‘gender transitions’
A pair of Christian foster families in Massachusetts is suing the state for barring them from fostering more children based on their refusal to affirm gender confusion among kids in their care, reports LifeSiteNews.com.
Alliance Defending Freedom is representing Nick and Audrey Jones, who have cared for seven small children since 2023; and Greg and Marianelly Schrock, who have cared for 28 children since 2019.
Despite both couples effectively providing needed, loving homes without incident, the Massachusetts Department of Children & Families decided they can no longer continue to do so unless they’re willing to affirm the gender confusion of future kids placed with them, including support for so-called “gender transitioning” and the use of biologically inaccurate pronouns.
Their attorneys said, what Massachusetts is doing “is a violation of foster parents’ religious freedom under the First Amendment as well as a reckless rejection of needed homes for orphaned or abandoned children.”
Matthew 18:6 says, “If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in Me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.”
Jimmy Stewart’s World War II heroism and his father’s promise to pray
And finally, do you recognize this voice?
“Mary, I know what I'm gonna do tomorrow and the next day and next year, and the year after that. I'm shaking the dust of this crummy little town off my feet, and I'm gonna see the world: Italy, Greece, the Parthenon, the Colosseum. Then, I'm coming back here and go to college and see what they know. And then I'm gonna build things. I'm gonna build airfields, I'm gonna build skyscrapers a hundred stories high. I'm going to build bridges a mile long.”
If you guessed Jimmy Stewart, you’re right. He is the actor who famously portrayed George Bailey in the Christmas film “It’s A Wonderful Life.” You’ll be glad to know that Hollywood is now producing a movie about Stewart’s life entitled “Jimmy” starring K.J. Apa, reports FaithWire.com.
After earning five Oscars, Stewart felt somewhat of a “hollowness.” At that time in the early 1940s, the world’s instability was coming to a head, with war clouds on the horizon. Stewart made a stunning decision. He had been a private pilot, but he decided to enlist in the Army Air Corps. He said, “I want to be something more than just a Tinseltown hero. I wanted to serve my country, serve my fellow Americans.”
Stewart became a squadron commander — a job that involved leading thousands of men in bombing runs during the war.
His father, Alexander, who will be portrayed by Neil McDonough, wrote a letter which he slipped into Jimmy’s uniform pocket before he went and that included a copy of Psalm 91, a Scripture which underscores the Lord’s comfort and presence.
His dad wrote, “I will be praying for you the whole time you’re away that God will be with you. You’ll make it home safely.” Jimmy Stewart kept that letter with him in his uniform on every mission that he went on.
Providentially, the actor did make it back home, though he suffered from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder after seeing hundreds of his men shot down and killed. By the time Stewart left the battlefield, he was far from the Hollywood leading man he was before fighting on the frontlines.
An old friend named Frank Capra, a Hollywood director who also served in World War II, told Stewart he had the “perfect role” for him. It was “It’s A Wonderful Life.” God used that film to re-energize Stewart’s career.
Alexander Stewart, his father, embodied the verse found in Malachi 4:6. “[God] will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers.”
