Ever get the feeling you are talking to a future star??? Well...We met Mia last year and learned about her love for architecture, her family and her faith. This year we dug into her dream of being a musical theatre performer, actress and singer. She may be shy off the stage but not once those lights come on and it's pretty magical to behold! I loved talking with Isabella, she is wise beyond her years at 10 years of age. We discussed all the important topics: friends, safety and whether we would want a dragon or a unicorn. Her happiness and simple love of life is contagious - I hope you catch it too :) Thank you Hollywood PAL for introducing me to Isabella :)
It was a complete joy to talk with Miguel and enjoy what an incredible young man and addition to our world he is! I've never been asked so many questions by a guest before and enjoyed being able to share and talk through some really interesting topics like people with different brain types, dragons and Aussie slang! I hope you get as much from listening and learning from Miguel as I did! I can't wait to see what he invents and creates to make our world a better place for everyone! Alejandra is 10 years old (almost 11) and is a soulful young person who already is thinking of all the ways she can help others. I feel so lucky that she brought her art to share with me and told me about her hopes to be a doctor or a therapist so she can help people when they have injuries on their outsides and insides. Thank you so much Hollywood PAL for giving me the chance to get to know Alejandra even better!!
I had so much fun giggling and talking with 8 year old Maritssa! I challenge you not to laugh at least once! And amongst the giggles I got to learn about her plans to be a special education teacher, her wish to have telekinesis as a super power and her turtles Bob and Ruby! But the thing I learned the most is the power of laughter and how happy you can feel when you just get to laugh with someone - thanks Maritssa, you made me feel very happy!!!
Yaritssa and I had so much fun chatting and laughing and sharing that we didn't want it to end! We talked about school, her plan to be an Obstetric Surgeon, her family (and when she said I was part of that family my heart nearly burst from happiness!!) I've know Yaritssa for many years, she has always been a very special young person and I am so proud and impressed with the incredible young lady she is growing into being!! Thank you Hollywood PAL for introducing me to Yaritssa all those years ago!!
Talking with Keiry (pronounced Katie) the day after she turned 14 was such a joy!! We got to share our love for swimming and she shared all about her plans to be a pediatric nurse. She was so brave to talk about being bullied and how she wishes she could end all bullying. I love that on the one day she was in charge of the world she would also make sure everyone gets access to all the opportunities they deserve. Thank you so much to Hollywood PAL for introducing me to Keiry!!
Yasir is one chill, cool and honest 12 year old. It was a joy to get to talk to him about the things he like to do and an honor that he shared with me some of the things that he finds hard and that make him sad. I think a lot of us can relate to that feeling of sadness when you try really hard at something but you still don't' get the grades' you want. Thank you Hollywood PAL for introducing me to Yasir!
I loved talking to Veronica. She is a very strong young woman who has been on a big journey with her family to live here in LA. I loved learning about her love for art, and cats and carrots - two of three things that I love too! Thank you Hollywood PAL for allowing me to share time with Veronika.
Mia is a proud member of Hollywood PAL and at 13 she has big plans and an and even bigger heart! It is a joy to listen to her talk about her love for her Mom, sister and whole family. We connected on our love of basketball and I was inspired by her goal to be an architect so that she can build safe homes for everyone. Thank you Hollywood PAL for introducing me to Mia :)
My first interview with the kids of Hollywood PAL is with the wonderful Iker! He was so brave to tell me that he was so nervous but I think you will agree he did a fabulous job of being himself, talking from his heart about his family and all he loves and sharing some v cool facts about dinosaurs!! I had soo much fun chatting with 12 year old Bo from Cincinnati, OH. So many of his answers surprised me and made my heart fill with feels! It is clear how much Bo loves his family and cares for people and I am so excited to see how he is going use his natural charisma, and acting skills to influence the world for good one day soon! Leo is 12 years old and has lived in Los Angeles for two years after moving down south from a small town near Santa Cruz. He has a lot of wisdom to share about change and losing people and also gets my vote for President of the world!! It was so fun getting to talk to Eva who is 9 years old and lives in San Luis Obispo. We discovered we have so much in common - we both love swimming and singing and musical theatre!! I loved Eva's way to approach performing nerves and balancing your confidence!! I cant wait to see her perform on stage and maybe one day we will even perform together! So fun!! Colt may be 12 years old be he is wise beyond those years. We could all learn a lot from this young man living with his family in Texas. It is confusing why people are mean to each other and if you could have one wish I think we all should be wishing to be closer to those we love. Aidan is a one very cool 7 year old who lives in Houston, Texas. He is a baseball champion and is sad that his team will have to change as they grow older.
