This week's show is a little shorter and has fewer topics than usual. I start by discussing the Kevin Durant situation and other NBA free agent moves and trades, then move into some NHL coaching hires. There are updates on Baker Mayfield and Deshaun Watson, constant changes in the NCAA's conference realignment, and ESPN's College Football Playoff odds. Plus, where was all the baseball on the Fourth of July?
This week we analyze the Stanley Cup Finals, the NBA Draft, discuss NBA Free Agency, Aaron Judge's arbitration case, Freddie Freeman's return to Atlanta, and some hall of fame announcements. There is also some NFL news, an update on Emoni Bates, MLB injuries, talk of expansion in baseball, and much more. *This was all recorded before the college realignment craziness from this week, so I will cover that next week.*
This week we're covering Thursday's NBA Draft, the first three games of the Stanley Cup finals, and news updates from the NFL--including a retirement announcement and a few legal updates. I also discuss some college sports news, give my thoughts on the MLB season so far, and another pro golfer joining the LIV Tour.
Back after a two-week break. This week I'm talking the NBA Finals, Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals, the PGA vs LIV Tour debate, NFL updates including new ownership and updates on Deshaun Watson and Baker Mayfield, some contract extensions for a couple NFL stars, a noteworthy league-wide streaming deal, and much more. Note: This was recorded before the Warriors won the NBA title.
Back with another episode. In this week's podcast, I look at the NBA & NHL playoffs from this week (before anyone was eliminated), college conferences ditching football divisions, the implications of the current NIL landscape including the heated Saban vs Fisher press conferences, las weekend's exciting PGA Championship, and a whole lot more.
Recorded 5/17/2022. Due to unforeseen circumstances entirely under my control, this episode is late. Anyway, enjoy my thoughts from earlier this week.
Back after a week off. In this episode, I give some of my thoughts on the NFL Draft, recap what's going on in the NBA & NHL playoffs, breakdown some rule changes with NIL, and a poll of college coaches giving their opinions on the transfer portal.
In this episode, I preview the NFL Draft and highlight some of the players I'm watching at each position, the Washington Commanders have more legal troubles to deal with, an NFL star wants a trade, a college basketball coach retires, updates on the NBA & NHL playoffs, and more.
In this episode, I discuss the Masters and Tiger Woods's return to golf, the first couple weeks of the MLB season, the NBA playoffs, the NHL playoff picture, NFL headlines including some more trouble for a franchise and a contract extension for a QB, and the latest NBA draft declarations and transfer portal entries.
Today I discuss MLB Opening Day, improvements teams have made, and what I'm watching at the beginning of the season. Then, we'll dive into the final four and NCAA tournament championship game, other news in college sports, the latest from the NFL, and the latest NBA & NHL playoff picture as the regular seasons wind down.
A week late on this one, but in this episode I'm covering the Men's NCAA tournament Final Four, intriguing transfer portal basketball entries, NFL moves and rule changes, Albert Pujols's return to St Louis, the NBA & NHL Playoff picture (as of 3/29/2022) and a contract extension for an ACC football coach.
This week was a busy week in sports. The MLB and MLBPA reached an agreement on a new collective bargaining agreement, the 2022 March Madness bracket was revealed and games are starting, the NFL officially kicked off a new league year with the star of free agency, and the NHL trade deadline is just days away. Plus, I'll update you on the current NBA playoff picture. **Note on Deshaun Watson: I misspoke in the recording. While he doesn't face any criminal charges, he IS still facing civil lawsuits**
This week, we'll start with the MLB lockout. Plus, an NFL star has been suspended for the season, March Madness is just around the corner, the NHL trade deadline is approaching, broadcasters are changing networks, and college football is considering a couple of rule changes.
After a few delays, I'm back with a new episode discussing what happened in Super Bowl LVI, NFL news and rumors, the latest March Madness bracket projections in college basketball, the NHL trade deadline, the NBA playoff picture and much more!
In this episode, I give my thoughts on the final three NFL head coaching hires and the hiring cycle as a whole, preview Super Bowl 56 between the Rams and Bengals, update the MLB Lockout situation, analyze the deals from the NBA trade deadline, and review the latest bracketology (March Madness predictions) reports from ESPN and CBS.
