April 15th is THE day for baseball in Vero Beach! It's general admission, so get your tickets and get to Holman Stadium early. Any child wearing a jersey will be able to get on the field ,pre-game. Wow! Join in. It's a huge fundraiser for the United Way and their community programs..Included in those programs is VITA - the free income tax preperation available by apoointment at various locations. Yearly income must be below $68,000. UnitedWayIRC.org for tix and VITA, voluteer opportunities and other ways to help out. .
Bungalow Home Co. has two local showrooms beachside. One is specific for outdoor furniture, the other indoor. They feature many design firms, styles, price points and have high-end if you want high-end. Design services are available for your home, your bookcases, even an end table. How beautiful is that!
It's time to train the person that has a canine. Canine companion Jarrett Adcock lets us know how to manage your canine which is kind of like teaching a child. Barking dogs, dog that poop or pee in the house, crating the dog and much more goes into a well-trained dog.
It's the busiest, best fundraiser of the year for St. Edward's School. A weekend extravganza, a must-attend! All proceeds go to the school and it's programs.
The United Way is the gatekeeper for local organizations. Their programs are facilitated by volunteers who are on board to make that decision of where the money actually goes. Who benefits is their job. Using volunteers helps build a stronger community effort and involvement. Both St. Paddle's Day and CRP (Citizens' Review Process) are current programs looking for sponsorship.
This year, it's 20,000 pairs of socks donated. The 8th Annual Sock Drive has multiplied year after year into the best success for our homeless, unhoused, and lower income people who appreciate the effort to keep their feet fantastic.
Frog legs alligator tail, carnival rides, crafts, beer and a frogtastic time be had at the 35th annual festival. Susan Adams is president of the festivities which benefit Fellsmere's local youth sport programs. And inside information lets us know that the annual t-shirt is a collector's item. Each year there's a different design!

Doctor Melissa Dean overcame so much with faith and so much intervention from people who told her, "You shouldn't be here!" Turning her life into giving back and helping people came about because people gave her hope. Many of those people started out as strangers. One policeman stood by her time and again and 20 years later he contacted her to receive her good news and shared that he was glad to've known her because now he was dealing with his own daughter's disintegrating life.
