How on earth do we find work/life balance as busy women? Is it even possible?
Listen as I chat to no BS business coach, best selling author and fellow podcaster Libby Langley about how we can find that elusive balance and it just might not be how you expect!
While we do talk a lot about finding balance as business owners in this episode I really believe that you will find value as an employee, mum or whatever stage of life you are in.
Libby talks about how the first step to finding balance is figuring out what you want your life to look like and making conscious choices to help us move towards that. We talk about comparison, purpose and pursuing joy in helping us choose how to order our days and focus our time, and I think you will find some great food for thought from our discussion, especially if you are thinking of making changes in your life or career. I can't wait to hear what your takeaways are!

Welcome back to the Live Life Well podcast!
We're thrilled to be back after a summer break with our guest embodiment coach Amy Davies.
Amy leads us through her journey going from burnt out business manager to self-connected coach and teacher, and how she has got to a place of 'finding her no' without guilt!
Amy and I discuss how as women we are often conditioned to feel like we are not enough, and that something is wrong with is. Join us as we talk about how we can come back to a place of radical self-compassion where we can find peace amidst the ups and downs of life. We also delve in to why we often to say 'yes' when we mean 'no' and how to start making decisions that truly benefit ourselves and others.
I loved our conversation and I know you will get some great takeaways!

We can all pick up scars throughout our lives through our past experiences, disappointments and trauma. These all leave an impression on our brain and can affect our thoughts and nervous system.

Lucy also explains how the language we use for ourselves or others can heal or harm us, and how connection is key to holistic health.

Join me as I chat to yoga teacher and movement educator Clare Makin about breaking the taboo of pelvic health and how when we take care of one aspect of our health it positively impacts every area!
I loved our conversation around taking care of ourselves as we get older as our responsibilities increase and our free time decreases, and how we can feel well in to our forties and beyond.
Clare also shares her top tips for looking after our pelvic health and they may not be what you think! It's not all about giving our kegel muscles the odd squeeze, but actually how general self care and healthy habits are the best thing we can adopt for our pelvic health and overall wellbeing.

Sarah-Jane talks us through the different stages and seasons of our 4 week menstrual cycle, how each phase affects us and how we can take care of ourselves in each stage. Listen to how you can eat and move and rest to give your body what it needs to feel its best, and to notice if something isn't normal.

Join us to hear Livia share her story and how she has turned that in to a fabulous book, and how she uses her passion for community and connection to give other women a platform to go after their dreams. I coudn't wait to have Life Coach for Women in STEM, Natalie-Claire Luwisha, on the podcast to quiz her about her secrets to organising her time and managing her busy schedule. Natalie-Claire helps ambitious women in STEM achieve their goals so that they can be happy and successful alongside building a successful career in STEM (Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) herself.
Time management is a tool that we can all harness as busy women so I loved hearing Natalie-Claire's wisdom and tips on how she does this so well as builds her career and business, as well as giving attention to her relationships and wellbeing.

What would it look like if we worked for just four days a week instead of 5 or more?
A healthier planet? Stronger communities? Better wellbeing?
I explore all of this and more with artist, activist and theatre maker Lora Krasteva in our fascinating conversation about clever flexibility and making space for creativity. I know that you will be equally challenged and inspired, we might even get a bit political!
Lora is an artist, cultural producer and activist. She is part of Global Voices Theatre, a female, non-binary and immigrant-led company introducing international work by historically marginalised creatives in the UK. Lora creates devised, socially engaged work with professionals and other community members alike and has worked with Arts & Homelessness International advocating for a place for creativity in homelessness provision. Lora is a steering group member of What Next? and a founding member of Migrants in Theatre, the movement advocating for a better representation of 1st generation immigrants. Lora currently lives in Sheffield. Her latest project, Becoming [...], was a series of creative residencies in four different countries interrogating national identities from the perspective of local migrant artists and communities.

Join me and my guest, life coach Rebecca Norton, for this Christmas bonus episode of the Live Life Well Podcast!
I'm delighted to welcome back Rebecca who was our first ever guest on the podcast this year to share her top tips for having a stress free Christmas.
I found this conversation with Rebecca so helpful in thinking about and planning for the kind of Christmas that I want to have - it's so useful to take a moment to think about that now before we get swept up in the busy-ness and commercialism of the season, and get our loved ones on board so that we can all have a Christmas time that brings us peace and joy.

I love this conversation with my friend and story coach Claire Tomkins from Five Rubies. As women we can forget how powerful and healing it can be to own and share our stories. We can bury the parts of our story that feels too painful, or believe that our story isn't important or significant enough to share, but as we understand our journey and find the courage to share it, it gives others the strength to share theirs. And we all love a good story!
Claire also helps entrepreneurs and leaders find the right words to share with the world what’s in their hearts, and whether you run your own business or not I know you will be inspired by this episode, and discover how storytelling can support our businesses and wellbeing.
Join us to learn:
- the importance of living from your values
- how all our stories matter, are valuable and powerful
- the benefit of storytelling for the teller
- the power of storytelling in the context of leadership and business
- AND some practical tips to help you get started and share your stories well.

Connection.
Our lives have become more fragmented than ever through world events, isolation and personal trauma. What impact does this have on our well-being, resilience and nervous system?
Join me as I wrestle with the idea of reconnection with Mind Body Expert Carrie Ekins. Carrie is passionate about helping women live glorious lives by letting go of old beliefs and experiences and allowing our bodies and minds to reconnect. She is also a beautiful human being and super fun too!
In this episode we talk through the things that can cause us to disconnect from our emotions, bodies and communities, and how powerful it can be when we allow those areas of our lives to come back together.
I feel this is such an important and timely topic. I loved my conversation with Carrie and I know you will too!

How does a therapist take care of her own mental health and how would she encourage others to do the same?
I explore this question and more with my friend, psychotherapist and wellbeing practitioner Michelle Leeder on this episode of the Live Life Well Podcast.
We happened to record this episode on World Mental Health Day so it was only right that I ask Michelle all the hard questions about how we take care of our minds and health as busy women, even when we can't afford therapy. Hint - it includes starting with our own needs first, spending time with those who know more than us, and lots of coffee.
I love Michelle's take on slow living - what it is and how we can incorporate it into our lifestyles, having intentional downtime and how doing nothing is always productive.
Most of all I love Michelle's heart and humor, and I know you will too!
I hope you can take these 30 minutes to slow down and take time for you, because you deserve to take care of yourself as well as you do those around you.
On today's episode we talk about all things money with Financial Planner Frances Ford from Major Oak Wealth Management.
As busy women I know how easy it can be to bury our heads in the sand about money matters but it can also be incredibly empowering to look at our financial circumstances and take back control. It can also be of massive benefit to our mental health to share the burden of money worries with someone who can help us take steps to improve our situation.
I loved chatting to Frances about how she looks after herself as a busy mum, how we need to push back on the gender pay gap and tax on working mums, and how planning for the future now can save us 20-40% in retirement.
Frances gives us some really practical tips on how we can save and make the most of our money now and in the future, and most of all I hope that you hear that whatever your situation is that you are not alone and there is always hope.

See you soon for a new mini-series and some fantastic new guests!
I couldn't get to the end of my first series without talking about my favourite topics - food and nutrition!
I'm delighted to introduce my friend and nutritional therapist Claire Thomas from Nourished to Soar. We both share a huge passion for the ability of the food we eat to heal and nourish our bodies, and that health is a mind, body and soul affair.
I know you'll love hearing Claire's journey from struggling with chronic fatigue when she worked in the NHS to flourishing and setting up her own nutritional therapy practice, and her practical and simple tips to boost your energy levels and avoid sugar crashes, developing healthy habits and mindsets rather than fads and deprivation.
Most of all I hope that you hear our heart that you are wonderful and worthy of taking care of as you pursue health and happiness.

With neurodivergent conditions affecting 20% of the population and the average age of diagnosis for conditions such as ADHD in women being around 39 this feels like a really important topic to be talking about.
Join me as I chat to the wonderful Neurodivergent Coach Sue Murphy about her journey to diagnosis at the age of 62 and how she now uses her knowledge to support neurodivergent people.
We cover:
- how the neurodivergent spectrum affects us directly and indirectly
- what conditions come under the umbrella of neurodiversity
- how women have had to fight to have these conditions recognised and access support
- how to seek out diagnosis and support
- how to celebrate our uniqueness and strengths
- the link between neurodiversity, mental health and shame
- how to thrive regardless of diagnosis
As a woman in my 40's exploring a diagnosis of ADHD I found this conversation priceless and I know that whether you are neurotypical or neurodivergent it will inspire you to take better care of yourself and those around you.
