There was a season of motherhood where I felt constantly exhausted.Not just “I didn’t sleep well last night” tired… but the kind of tired that sits deep in your bones.I’d wake up already feeling behind.I truly felt like something was wrong with me.I wondered…Am I just bad at handling motherhood?Is it because I don’t have a 5am morning routine?Did other moms just have more energy than me?But over time I started realizing something important:My exhaustion wasn’t just because I was lacking sleep and chasing around 2 toddlers.It was about how my body, mind, and nervous system were moving through motherhood.I slowly started experimenting with small habits that supported my energy instead of draining it. Nothing extreme. Nothing complicated. Just small shifts that helped my body feel safe, nourished, and supported.Things like drinking mineral-rich drinks instead of relying on caffeine… spending more time in sunlight and outside in nature… adding gentle movement that calms my body instead of pushing it harder.I also started noticing how many little things throughout the day were quietly draining me.Constant alarms.Rushing from task to task.Harsh lighting.Always feeling like I needed to be productive.So I began slowing my pace.None of these things are dramatic.But together, they’ve made a huge difference in how I feel inside motherhood.More calm.More grounded.More like myself again.In this episode, I’m sharing 11 life-changing habits that have helped boost my energy as a mom — especially in seasons where I felt burned out or stretched thin.Not because motherhood should be optimized or perfected… but because you deserve to feel supported inside your own life.I hope something inside this conversation helps you breathe a little deeper today.You’re doing better than you think, mama.– Alexis This is a public episode. Ever since I was a little girl, I dreamed of becoming a mom. My favorite thing to play as a child was “house”. I would nurture, take care of, teach, and love on my babies.When I actually became a mom, I thought the transition would be easeful because of how much I CRAVED this season of life. It felt like the purpose I had been searching for my whole life.But to my surprise, I struggled with lack the of independence, loss of identity, and postpartum rage/anger.I thought I missed my calling.. maybe I wasn’t meant to be a mother.The problem wasn’t whether or not I was living out my calling.The real issue is that I was never held through the transition of maiden to motherhood.No one warned me that I needed to learn about emotional regulation, communication, or the fact that our mind/body/heart are all interconnected.As you Big Sis, I’m sharing all the wisdom that I wish I had during my first pregnancy.It doesn’t matter if this is your first or 5th baby, preparing to become a mother is about surrender.In this episode, I’m breaking down what I’ve done differently during my third pregnancy to mentally prepare for another child.I’m so excited for you… congratulations on becoming a mama ❤️-AlexisP.S. Resentment in motherhood is more common than most moms are willing to admit—and yet it’s often wrapped in shame, guilt, and silence. In this episode, we talk honestly about why resentment shows up, what it really means, and why it doesn’t make you a bad mom. More importantly, you’ll learn how resentment is not the problem—it’s a signal. A signal pointing to unmet needs, invisible emotional labor, identity loss, and the pressure to be everything for everyone.We explore the hidden emotional patterns that keep resentment stuck in place, including comparison, envy, overstimulation, and the belief that something has gone “wrong.” You’ll learn how resisting resentment actually strengthens it—and how shifting into emotional neutrality creates space for healing, clarity, and genuine connection with your children.This episode will help you understand the root of resentment, release the shame surrounding it, and begin reconnecting with yourself and your role as a mother in a way that feels lighter, calmer, and more aligned. Being a mom of a medically complex child, I often wondered if I could ever be able to handle a third child.
