Happy New Year Recallheads! We know you're probably still nursing hangovers and making resolutions to never repeat whatever you did last night, so we're here to take the edge off with a twofer New Years special, finishing our accidental partial recall of Home Alone 3, and talking about our intentional viewing of The Boy and the Heron - or as we like to call this perfectly natural pairing, Heron Alone 3! So ring in 2024 with us, and may it be a year filled with more Jurassic Parks than Hooks!Siskel and Ebert Home Alone 3 Review (4:40 into the video): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xy-5ceYSH9cFollow us!Twitter: https://twitter.com/PartialTweecallInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/partialrecall/Email us!partialremail@gmail.com Hosted on Acast. Seasons greetings Recall-heads! Shalom! Ho Ho Ho! On this very special bonus episode of Partial Recall, we look back at all of the holiday movies we've covered to see which will be crowned the Christmas-y-iest, as only two Jews can! So drink your egg nog, eat your yule log, and gather the family round the fire to listen and celebrate the miracle that is this episode, ya filthy animals!Rataoing English Dub: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E3XE14upb4IFollow us!Twitter: https://twitter.com/PartialTweecallInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/partialrecall/Email us!partialremail@gmail.com Hosted on Acast. Wrong podcast, wrong release date, wrong time - story of our life! While waiting at the airport to pick up the audio file for our newest episode, we found ourselves battling a rogue band of podcast terrorists planning to intercept a plane carrying a deposed show host, and forcing all other planes, including the one with our file, to circle the airport. Despite the protestations of the airport cops (and Daniel's reticence to cross his heroes in blue), we were eventually able to take down the bad guys and safely bring our episode on the 1990 action thriller, Die Hard 2, in for a landing. We are just up to our ass in episodes again!Follow us!Twitter: https://twitter.com/PartialTweecallInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/partialrecall/Email us!partialremail@gmail.com Hosted on Acast. We've got a show to run here, and it must pop POP POP! Various forces were trying to steal this episode for themselves, but after a number of thrilling escapes, including diving off a building into flying car traffic, we managed to unite the podcast stones around the audio file in the nick of time and beam our episode on the 1997 space opera, The Fifth Element, out to all of our listeners.Anybody else want to negotiate?Follow us!Twitter: https://twitter.com/PartialTweecallInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/partialrecall/Email us!partialremail@gmail.com Hosted on Acast. We're celebrating a year of Partial Recall the only way we know how: publishing an episode full of spreadsheet minutia weeks late! Join us as we look back, relitigate, and ultimately rerank all 24 films we covered and somehow barely remember. We tackle all the hot button issues, including: are we actually overrating Hook? Is Gremlins a secret masterpiece? Are movies even good? And WHO IS GENERAL CHANG??? Belated Shana Tova to you and the podcast! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Listeners, apologies for the delay! A nefarious crime lord kidnapped our episode and held it hostage for a 50 million dollar ransom! Tired of waiting for the FBI and their slow, by the pod tactics, we took matters into our own hands and buddy copped our way to rescuing it, so we're finally back to discuss the 1998 action-comedy film, RUSH HOUR! We explore all of the big questions, like who exactly is trying to build a highway, and which of the characters is named Rush? Tune in to find out!Follow us!Twitter: https://twitter.com/PartialTweecallInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/partialrecall/Email us!partialremail@gmail.com Hosted on Acast. The longer we lurk in the shadows, the more sus we get, so we're back with another special bonus episode of Partial Remake!Occasionally, some of the movies we've covered on the pod have had new versions made of them, and we thought it would be fun to compare and contrast the new version with the one we've already covered. This week, piggy shelling off our last episode where we covered the original 1990 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film, we break down the newly released Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem. I guess we should give fair warning that this episode CONTAINS SPOILERS. We definitely don't feel bad about spoiling 30 year old movies, but we should probably let people know that we do (shakily) go through the plot of a just released TNMT film.Does that say podcasting machine??Follow us!Twitter: https://twitter.com/PartialTweecallInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/partialrecall/Email us!partialremail@gmail.com Hosted on Acast. Cowabunga! A string of petty thefts across NYC had us worried our laptop would be stolen and we wouldn't be able to publish our newest episode, but thanks to our humanoid rat mentor and help from our special guest Andy, we learned enough podjitsu to fight off the Ear Clan and release our episode on the first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film (1990), all with enough time to order a fresh pie of pizza! And remember, all podcasts care for their sons.Follow us!Twitter: https://twitter.com/PartialTweecallInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/partialrecall/Email us!partialremail@gmail.com Hosted on Acast. Hey you guys! A podcast developer planned on turning our show into a golf chat, but with the help of a treasure map we found in an attic, we managed to avoid the booby traps and the evil hosts hot on our trail to save our show and release this episode on the 1985 film The Goonies! But is the film rich stuff, or is it fools gold?Popeye Jones photo from the episode: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BRrUF2fCAAATbiC.jpgFollow us!Twitter: https://twitter.com/PartialTweecallInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/partialrecall/Email us!partialremail@gmail.com Hosted on Acast. Look listener, there are some rules you gotta follow: First of all, keep the podcast out of light. Second, don't give it any water. But the most important rule, the rule you can never forget, never EVER listen after midnight! This week we tackle the 1984 horror comedy classic Gremlins! Boy did they try to stop us, but no amount of mischief was going to keep us from publishing this episode!Follow us!Twitter: https://twitter.com/PartialTweecallInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/partialrecall/Email us!partialremail@gmail.com Hosted on Acast. All major podcasts have delays, but after nearly losing the audio file we were transporting inside of a jerry rigged Barbasol can, we recovered it just in time to get today's episode out. Hold onto your butts, because we're back to discuss Jurassic Park, released 30 years ago this month! The episode finds a way!Links referenced in today's episode:Pregnancy Cartoon: https://babyology.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/pregnancy-cartoon.jpgJurassic Park Raptor Suit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jAzQr3Ml0UIThere I Ruined It Jurassic Park Theme: https://www.instagram.com/reel/CnQn-uzuFDy/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==Follow us!Twitter: https://twitter.com/PartialTweecallInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/partialrecall/Email us!partialremail@gmail.com Hosted on Acast. Hahaha! Hello, boys! We're BAAAAAACK! This week, we tackle one of the biggest disaster flicks of all time: the 1996 Roland Emmerich blockbuster, Independence Day! But are we referring to the genre, or the movie itself??? Listeners, have you all been SHAKEN by the lack of new episodes lately? Well after a short break, we've been STIRRED back into action to cover the 18th entry into the James Bond franchise, 1997's Tomorrow Never Dies! We're back! After a bit of a hiatus (we got sucked into another magical drain pipe and were stuck in mushroom kingdom for a while), we're dropping a special bonus episode in a new series called Partial Remake!Occasionally, some of the movies we've covered on the pod have had new versions made of them, and we thought it would be fun to compare and contrast the new version with the one we've already covered. The first entry into the Partial Remake files is The Super Mario Bros. Movie (2023). I guess we should give fair warning that this episode CONTAINS SPOILERS. We definitely don't feel bad about spoiling 30 year old movies, but we should probably let people know that we do (shakily) go through the plot of a just released Mario Bros film.Anyway, enjoy, and we'll be back to our regularly scheduled programming next week!Follow us!Twitter: https://twitter.com/PartialTweecallInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/partialrecall/Email us!partialremail@gmail.com Hosted on Acast. Yo ho! Yo ho! A podcast life for us! Scrub the decks and swash those buckles, because this week, we take to the high seas to discuss the best film released in 2003 based on an amusement park ride (as far a we know), Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. Now this is pod casting! This week, the Supreme Chancellor has secretly dispatched us to settle the conflict on whether Star Wars: Episode I is any good! And just like Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan, we too get our hands on a new hyperdrive part halfway through the episode! This week, we had to leave most of our gear behind to make a dangerous podcast transfer 5 miles above the earth. Luckily, we remembered to use our magic wand just in time to pull off a new episode on the 1996 high stakes terrorist plane thriller, Executive Decision. Neither evil royal advisors nor seductive envoys could stop us from successfully sending out our carrier pigeon to publish this episode! We're back to barely remember Disney's 1993 live action version of The Three Musketeers. And if you don't like it, meet us behind the old church at noon for a duel. Ugh, when is a secret retired podcast legend going to get a DUI so they will be forced to do 500 hours of public service and teach us how to be better podcasters?
