Some games are just stupid. Oftentimes that is part of the charm. That was the purpose. Sam and Max could be considered a purposely stupid (and awesome BTW) game. But sometimes games are unintentionally stupid. We are discussing both of those and we do it with The Lightfoot Brothers developers. They are making a really neat looking game called Sleepytime Village. We discuss that as well. Strap and because we are about to get STOOPID. Maybe it was just me but when I was a kid I thought Revolution Software was a massive game designer. They were everywhere and created some of the greatest point-and-click adventure games ever. I mean, they made Broken Sword, Beneath a Steel Sky, Lure of the Temptress, In Cold Blood and... Who Wants to be a Millionaire. Okay, maybe the last one was a one off, but they were a powerhouse. Would you believe that Revolution Software was always an inch away from closing on many occasions (and they kind of did one time). In this podcast episode of Adventure Game Hotspot, we sit down and discuss the ups and downs of Revolution Software with co-founder Tony Warriner. We break down some of the most interesting and often time jaw dropping moments that are written in Tony's successful book Revolution: The Quest for Game Development Greatness Stay to the end because Joshua, Jack and Tony each choose their 5 favorite scenes from Revolution Software games. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/weirdgamingadventure/support
