I have really enjoyed this series 'Road to...' It a great insight into marathon prep and the actual race. I was surprised by your polarised attitude to risk in such a major race for you! At one end one knowing to the beat heart rate your HR target, but at the other end u were happy to wear largely untried shoes and take never used before caffeine gum hours before the start... It's not a criticism, just an interested observation. I love this podcast and all the info you share.
