The new year may just be another day. But we often use it as
a chance to reset & an opportunity to leave behind those things that no
longer serve us. Many people make resolutions. Less than 1% make it 10 months
& 20% make it at least 3 months successfully. But the overwhelming majority
of resolutions are abandoned by the second Friday of January, dubbed “Quitter
Friday.” What is it that makes so many of us flounder at those goals that we
know are good for us? What makes us flop on those good intentions? Why can’t
those good conscious decisions be kept? Usually it has to do with a conflict
between what our conscious mind thinks & what our subconscious mind feels.
When this happens, the feelings overpower the thoughts every time.
In this New Year’s episode Larry & Craig explain where

conflicts. Learn how hypnosis can set both the rational & emotional forces

The word conflict is very familiar to all of us. Conflict exists when two sides have
different intentions, ideas, or motives. When conflict exists, there is always friction.
This friction can play out in many ways. Sometimes harmless disagreements and
other times all-out wars are the results. With few exceptions, we all live with
internal conflicts. These are the conflicts created when the logical mind and
the emotional mind exist with contradictory intentions. Herein lies the
struggles of addiction, fears, phobias, bad habits, and the many other issues
that prevent us from being at ease. This in turn causes an absence of ease or “dis
ease” in the mind and disease in our bodies.
Hypnosis can help!
On episode #8 of Hypnotic Rhythm, Larry & Craig share their experiences with some of
the many issues that hypnosis can help. From simple fears to bad habits to post
traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) to disease, hypnosis has a role in the healing
of so many of the challenges that we all face. Your hosts go on to share their understanding
of how hypnosis funnels out distractions and creates a better focus of the
mind. And how that focus works to create the improvements that you are seeking.
The discussion includes the best open-minded attitude to have approaching hypnosis.
Using trust and allowing yourself to accept the intentions of the session. Learn
the power of the pause. They explain what Hypnotic Rhythm means as they use the
term. The conversation includes how the term is used by some with other
meanings with negative connotations, including Napoleon Hill’s use of it in his
book “Outwitting the Devil.” Learn the way that hypnosis can effectuate quick
physical changes to your body by using muscle focus or slow your heartbeat by
using intentional breathing. As always, the discussion twists and turns with
fun stories and gems of knowledge entwined within them.

Hypnosis, by many other names, has been a key element to health and healing for thousands of years. Many Native American healing rituals were akin to today’s hypnosis processes. Over 4,000 years ago, Egyptian sleep temples and dream temples included practices that were very similar to modern day hypnosis. The 5,000 year old practice of yoga contains many of the same elements of hypnosis intended for connecting and healing mind and body. Surgeons and other medical practitioners were using hypnosis for both anesthesia and for recovery in the 1800s. For about 100 years hypnosis seems to have slipped from the medical playbooks. However, with the rise in popularity of mindfulness and holistic and alternative medicine, hypnosis is making a healthcare comeback.
On episode 7, Craig and Larry take you through the many aspects of hypnosis used in the medical field and in the healing of the body. They discuss the history of some of these uses and how it came into practice. They also discuss why it fell out of mainstream use. The discussion then turns to the many uses of hypnosis in modern day wellness. Learn some of the processes and how they work. Enjoy some of the real-life experiences that the hosts have been a part of regarding the healing powers of hypnosis.
Later in the podcast, Larry shares his personal journey of healing from stage 3 throat cancer. He explains the positive mindset that he had throughout his treatments. Hear directly from him what roll hypnosis played in his healing and continues to play in his life as he celebrates and appreciates every day of cancer free living. Learn some of the processes that he used and that can be used by others to assist in allowing the body to accept modern day treatments as part of its healing and recovery.
The mind and body contain a blueprint to create and sustain a healthy body. Our bodies are virtually newly formed about every 9 months as that is the maximum life span of most cells. The regeneration of our cells needs the proper environment to form healthfully. We understand this when it comes to nutrition, exercise, and rest. However, the mind and body also require a silent calmness, free from stress, to produce healthy cells. Learn how to use hypnosis and other practices to accomplish that on this episode of Hypnotic Rhythm, Healing Hypnosis.
Self-hypnosis is one of the greatest ways to effectuate those positive changes that you have been striving for in your life. Practicing self-hypnosis will create a strong underlying foundation within the subconscious mind. Making those changes stronger, quicker, and longer lasting. Connecting these positive changes to an "Anchor" or trigger mechanism can help to get you into that positive state that will keep you on the right path towards your intentions.
In episode #6 Craig and Larry take you through a number of different methods for practicing self-hypnosis. Using this information, you can discover the best process for you. Beginning with creating the a great space for hypnosis, your hosts share other ideas for creating the best personal experience. They then cover several options on how to compose a positive & precise intention to focus on during your session. Moving on, the discussion proposes a number of inductions so that you may utilize the best pathway for you to experience that relaxed state where the seeds of change can be planted and grow to realization. Your options for bringing yourself back to the fully conscious state or allowing yourself to drift away to a comfortable sleep, closeout the self-hypnosis process. Finally the usefulness of positive "Anchors" are discussed. As well as how to recognize existing negative anchors or triggers and begin to replace those negative ones with more positive reactions.
Due to the many important aspects of this topic, this episode ran much longer than usual. To help with the ease of listening we have done our best to break it down into 4 smaller segments.
In this new year episode Craig & Larry discuss some tips to make any year, a great year. Your hosts take you through some amazing tools to help you achieve your goals. If you want to keep that positive direction gained through hypnosis, you have to do your "Hypnotic Homework." These tips will keep you working-out your hypnosis muscles and your mind muscles.
