UEFA released their short list for the this year's UEFA Men's Player of the Year. To everyone's surprise. Lionel Messi is part of the top three in this list. Even though PSG was send home in the first round of 16th in last Season's Champions League.Although, most of us can agree that Messi had an amazing World Cup. Messi was not influential in PSG's game and did not help move on in Europe.Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne could not be absent in the top three. Haaland was the top scorer in last year's Champions League and although he did not scored in the final he was a key player in Man City's first European Trophy.Oddly enough, UEFA left Vinicius Junior out of the top 11. Vinicius was included in the list provided by UEFA. The Brazil had a great UCL, reaching semi-finals and scoring or assisting in every game except for the second leg at the Etihad.
