Teams of five strive to survive and the stakes have never been higher! The culmination of the Invasion storyline has arrived, and after this show either the WWF or The Alliance are going out of business. Despite fielding a team that only consists of two real invaders, The Alliance boasts possibly the two best in the business at the time, in Kurt Angle and Stone Cold Steve Austin, both who turned their backs on Vince and the WWF. However, we've been told that somebody on that Alliance team is secretly working for the Federation. Elsewhere, we have a few titles being unified, a six pack challenge for the lady's belt, and an immunity battle royal. Tune in for all the great takes as we count down to episode number 100!
Duke and Rogue are back to cover WWF SummerSlam 2001! The war between the WWF and the invading Alliance continues, with both the WWF and WCW World Titles on the line, as Stone Cold Steve Austin takes on Kurt Angle, and the returning Rock challenges Booker T.
Elsewhere, the tag titles are being unified in a cage match, and for the first and probably only time ever, the hardcore title is defended in a ladder match.
On this episode, Kurt Angle works triple duty, a new King of the Ring is crowned, and Stone Cold Steve Austin defends his world title against Chris Benoit and Chris Jericho.
The WCW invasion is upon us and we have some new superstars in the fray. Tune in for all the great takes and more on The Year of Duke and Rogue Podcast.
It's Judgement Day and the Two Man Power Trip still holds all of the major gold in the Federation. In this episode, Stone Cold Steve Austin defends his world title in a no holds barred match against The Undertaker and Triple H takes on Kane in a Chain Match for the intercontinental championship. Their tag titles are not on the line tonight, but there is a seven man tag team turmoil match to determine the number one contender. Tune in for all this and more on The Year of Duke and Rogue podcast!
Duke and Rogue are back to cover WWF Insurrextion 2001, live from Earl's Court in London, England.
The main event is a handicap match, in which The Undertaker takes on World Champion Stone Cold Steve Austin and Intercontinental Champion Triple H. The odds are stacked high against the Deadman Badass...
Elsewhere Benoit and Angle continue their feud, as does Regal and Y2J. There's also supposed to be a lady's battle royal, but not if Right to Censor has anything to say about it...Tune in for all of this and more!
Fresh off of one of the biggest and greatest WrestleManias of all time, the Year of Duke and Rogue dive into WWF's Backlash 2001.
We see several rematches from WrestleMania X-7, including a 30 minute submission match between Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit, as well as a Duchess of Queensbury affair between William Regal and Chris Jericho. The rules of that one are not clear.
In the main event, all of the gold is on the line as Stone Cold Steve Austin and Triple H challenge The Brothers of Destruction for the Tag Titles, as well as putting their own World and Intercontinental Championships on the line.
Will the WWF continue their red hot momentum coming off of their biggest show of all time? Is the main event a classic example of too much birthday? Tune in to find out!

The feud between Ravishing Rick Rude and Jake the Snake Roberts is nearing it's climax (ughh yeah), as Jake vows to take off Rude's pants before the night is done.
Elsewhere we have a rematch for the tag titles with Demolition defending against the Hart Foundation.
The Hulkster takes on King Haku and so much more!
Duke and Rogue are back with a brand new season, and this time they're headed way back to the late 80s in the WWF.
It’s called one of the Golden Eras of Professional Wrestling for a reason, and will be a nice step away from the putrid sludge that we covered in the past couple of seasons.
We’re starting this season off with WrestleMania 4 and wrapping up with WrestleMania 5, and in this special preview episode, the fellas share their memories of old school WWF and make some predictions about the season to come.
So strap on in and ask yourself this one question….Whatcha gonna do?! When the Year of Duke and Rogue, Gorilla Brain Wrestling Podcasts, and the Shining Wizards Network run wild on you???!!!???
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone listening out there. We appreciate you and look forward to getting away from TNA and giving you guys something new in 2024. With that said, the guys are back for the 13th and final TNA PPV that we’re covering this season, Genesis 2005. The card feels more like a go home show before a big event than the big event itself, but there’s some good action in there. Petey Williams challenges AJ Styles for the X Division Title in the only championship on the card. Elsewhere we have an Xtreme Elimination match featuring the rest of the X Division and Abyss and Sabu continue their barbaric feud. In the main event Double J teams up with AMW to take on Team 3D and Rhino. Once again we want to wish you all a happy holiday season and we’ll be back next time with a recap show and to let you know where we’re going next…
Duke and Rogue are back, and today we're looking back at TNA Hard Justice 2005. In the main event, AJ Styles looks to become a three time NWA Heavyweight Champion as he challenges the King of the Mountain, Double J Jeff Jarrett, with special guest referee Tito Ortiz in there to lay down some hard justice. Ugh yea.
Elsewhere, Jeff Hardy missed his flight, so we have X Pac taking on Raven in a Clockwork Orange House of Fun Match, as well as the Shocker from the McDonald's commercial challenging The Fallen Angel for the X Division Title. There's some tag team action and TNA's version of a Royal Rumble match to determine the number one contender.
Will hard justice be served? Listen to find out...
In a first event of its kind, every match on this card is contested inside the six sides of steel cage. At least that's what was advertised. However, there is not one standard cage match in the bunch. Instead, we have a tag team match inside of a cage where you have to make tags, a tables match inside of a cage that looks goofy as hell, a strap match inside the cage that neither straps the guys together nor keeps the guys in the cage, a Lethal Lockdown match where team captain Kevin Nash can't participate on Team Nash due to an infection, and a fuckin Prince of Darkness Death Match in a cage.
A little too much bullshit in this one, but there are a couple of standout contests between AJ Styles and Abyss for the number one contendership, and Triple X exploding for the X Division title as Fallen Angel Christopher Daniels takes on former partner Elix Skipper.
As we plow through the first year of TNA monthly pay per views, we have a contender for not only the worst show this season, but possibly the worst one that we've ever covered.
It's TNA Destination X 2005, and bullshit is everywhere on this card, with each contest featuring outside interference, incompetent officiating, and not one, but two guys in masks who arrive to save the day. This was a tough watch.
In the main event, Double J takes on DDP, effectively continuing their rivalry from the last year of WCW that we covered. This one is contested in a Ringside Revenge (not Lumberjack) Match.
Elsewhere, we have an the Ultimate X Challenge for the belt featuring three matches in one. We got Abyss taking on Jeff Hardy once again, as well as Raven and The Lone Star Dustin Rhodes.
Finally it appears as if the battle to become Dusty Rhodes' assistant will come to its conclusion as Trinity and Traci send their tag teams into action.
This one was bad, and we really hope that things turn around or else this might be quite the chore moving forward.
On this episode a NASCAR driver makes an underwhelming appearance in a tag match, we got something called a full metal mayhem match between Abyss and Jeff Hardy, and AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels compete in an iron man match for the X Division Title.
In the main event Big Sexy takes on Double J for the world title.
It's TNA's first show of 2005 and we get our first taste of the Ultimate X Match, as the title is on the line in a three way dance featuring AJ Styles, Chris Sabin, and defending champion Petey WIlliams.
Elsewhere, there's another three way dance pitting Monty Brown, Kevin Nash, and DDP with the winner getting a title shot in the main event.
In the undercard, Roddy Piper officiates a match between Scott Hall and Jeff Hardy and Dusty Rhodes has a couple of bimbos out looking for clues for something. This one is an early contender for show of the year.
TNA's second monthly PPV features a six man tag match pitting the Kings of Wrestling- NWA World Champion Double J and the Outsiders- against the trio of AJ Styles, Jeff Hardy, and The Macho Man Randy Savage.
Elsewhere, we get a Serengeti Survival Match, the X Division and Tag Titles are on the line, and two of TNA's great tag teams - Triple X and America's Most Wanted - square off in a six sides of steel match, with the losing team being forced to disband.
Join us for all the great takes and more...
The guys are back and this time we're diving into the first monthly PPV extravaganza that TNA put on, Victory Road 2004.
This one's got a little bit of everything. It starts out with a 20 man Royal Rumble type contest for the X Division Cup, we get the minis in action, a Caged Heat match, a last man standing tag team match, and finally the NWA World Heavyweight title is on the line as Double J Jeff Jarrett takes on Jeff Hardy in a ladder match.
Elsewhere, Dusty Rhodes and Vince Russo compete for votes to become TNA's Director of Authority.
The Year of Duke and Rogue is back with a new season and we are beyond thrilled to be done with WCW. We conducted a poll, and the results are in.
This time around the guys go where they've never gone before : Total Nonstop Action Wrestling.
TNA began a little over a year after the demise of WCW, and during its first two years in existence, they held weekly pay per view events, 111 in total.
In the fall of 2004 the company secured a weekly TV deal and started doing a pay per view extravaganza each month, and we will be covering the first 12 of these beginning at Victory Road 2004.
Join us on this special preview episode as we make some predictions about the year to come.
Duke and Rogue take a trip down memory lane and revisit the best and worst, well, mostly worst of WCW in its final year and change.
