The problem with the professional/managerial class is we believe our world is bigger than it actually is. The people hosting this podcast probably make 6 figures or more per year and likely are only friends with other people, making six figures or more per year. Among that group it is no surprise they all think Bernie has no chance of beating Trump since they are only aware of the views of people making close to or well over $100k per year. For that class Trump's policies are more beneficial to them than Bernie's would be. Median income in America in 2019 was $33k. The vast majority of Americans are poor and don't even make enough to qualify for a one bedroom apartment in many cities. When you talk to those people not only does a Sanders win against Trump seem likely it basically seems guaranteed. When Trump was elected he filled his cabinet with ex-Goldman Sachs employees, not exactly the expected course of action of an economic populist. Most Trump voters view him as no better than C
