Our Father in Heaven, our brothers, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost is our Family. Oh, and we have a Heavenly Mother and brothers and sisters. Listen with your heart. Reason with your mind. There is happiness within a family that fosters loving relationships and general respect among the members. We cannot argue this point no matter what kind of family we were raised in. No one person is perfect. Therefore, no family is perfect. However, "we strive for the ideal as we accept the real." I wholeheartedly believe that we hope and wish for a happy family because we had one before we were born on earth. https://www.instagram.com/walkingwithangelsinsta/
Easter week can be hard for us. It is uncomfortable to think of all that the Lord suffered for us. It can be overwhelming to think that Our lives will have multiple Friday-Sunday morning moments when the sky is dark and we feel heaven has forsaken us. "Each of us will have our own Fridays—those days when the universe itself seems shattered and the shards of our world lie littered about us in pieces. We all will experience those broken times when it seems we can never be put together again. We will all have our Fridays. But I testify to you in the name of the One who conquered death—Sunday will come. In the darkness of our sorrow, Sunday will come. No matter our desperation, no matter our grief, Sunday will come. In this life or the next, Sunday will come." Sunday Will Come By Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin, Oct 2006 @walkingwithangelsinsta
Abide in Me

Abide in Me

When we are worried about our weaknesses and failings, we can remember that Christ is the source of all good and peace. Abide means to “remain” or “stay” and entails far more than continuing belief in the Savior. To me, it means that Christ and I are walking together on my journey through life. That I am never alone, that I am supported and blessed when I turn to him. He "reaches my reaching." (Where can I turn for peace? Text: Emma Lou Thayne, Music: Joleen G. Meredith) This episode also explains the upcoming Foundations episodes.   @walkingwithangelsinsta walkingwithangels247@gmail.com
Portia has been given some beautiful experiences that she shares with us here. Birth can be sweet and beautiful but it can also be traumatizing. I have learned in my life that God's Plan is not easily frustrated and He very often gives us room to make choices. He has the power to help us when we get in trouble and He does and has helped me so many times in my life.  If you have had birthing trauma, the stories shared here all turn out okay in the end. We understand that sometimes the answer is no. Your story may not have had an "okay in the end" conclusion. We hope that nothing said here caused you pain. If it did I would like to hear your story and how we could be more sensitive. Please contact me at - walkingwithangels247@gmail.com or message me on Instagram. Simplify 2023

2023 is here! Moving forward what do you what for your life? What does God what for your life? How are you fulfilling your divine purpose?  You are loved. You are cherished. You are important to God's Plan. You have help from God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, and Angels.
Life doesn't end with death. "God has given us some wonderful gifts, the most wonderful are Faith, Family and a Body. All of which Satan and his angels don't have and never will have. So he will continually threaten those three things because that's what we are fighting for." said Ganel-lyn. I would like to add to that my own experience, Faith- he constantly tries to scare me into questioning God's plan, Family- he wants me to feel judged and neglected by my family, and my body- he is constantly telling me that I'm not pretty enough or that my bottom is too big and my hair is too big and crazy. Outwardly that sounds silly but inwardly I have to fight back and not listen to him.  As you listen to the episode try to hear the truths that Ganel-lyn shares to fight back and have abiding Faith in God's Plan.  You can find Ganel-lyn on instagram - www.instagram.com/ganellyn or her website ganellyn.com. I highly recommend her book The Stewardship Principle.
The Wind Up with Mara

The Wind Up with Mara

I love talking to Mara. Our conversations always turn toward the Savior. I love the way she sees. That's why I had her on today. Join us as we talk about what we learned from the Old Testament about Jesus Christ, our favorite Christmas symbols, and how we come closer to the angels in our lives.
We are all just trying our best to do things we haven’t done before. My daughter got a fortune cookie the night of my niece's Christmas Concert that said “Life is like learning to play an instrument while everyone is watching.” That is why we have a Savior, to help fix the mistakes that will happen. He also gives us an example to follow so there are fewer mistakes along the way and help when we have done everything we know how to do and it isn’t working. The Light House in California that I talk about in this episode is called Point Arena Lighthouse. Christ: The Light That Shines in Darknes By Sharon Eubank “Lord, Is It I?” By President Dieter F. Uchtdorf
"Motherhood is a divine calling!! Heavenly Father sent us to earth to support one another. Every day I am surrounded by angel teachers, family, friends. I believe Jesus works through imperfect people to perfect the saints. " Jessica Jessica also shared this quote from Elder Jeffrey R. Holland: “When we speak of those who are instruments in the hand of God, we are reminded that not all angels are from the other side of the veil. Some of them we walk with and talk with—here, now, every day. Some of them reside in our own neighborhoods. … Indeed heaven never seems closer than when we see the love of God manifested in the kindness and devotion of people so good and so pure that angelic is the only word that comes to mind.” (“The Ministry of Angels,” Ensign or Liahona, Nov. 2008, 30).
My thoughts and feelings on The Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. Did you realize that Scrooge had angels? Right! He did. 5 of them that I count.
You know how it is, Girls Camp, EFY, FSY, a Mission, General Conference. We come away feeling fired up with the Spirit. We feel hopeful and excited to do and be everything the Lord opened our eyes to. Then after a few weeks, we feel like we are just our old imperfect selves. How do we keep the fire going after these intense spiritual climaxes? Can we? I think it is possible to grow that flame by keeping the good habits and worthy practices that built that fire in the first place. The answer is Jesus Christ. He is usually the answer. Probably because He is the Power.
When we undrstand that angels are evidence of God's Love that changes us. I love Sil. She has been a light to me and many others.  You can follow her on instagram- mamma.mangia
Erin from Seek This Jesus Study joins us to talk about how angels have blessed her on her journey.  Erin’s website: seekthisjesusstudy.com, facebook: Seek This Jesus Study. (Please forgive the audio quality. It is usually better than this.)
The ministering of angels is only possible through the power of the Atonement of Christ. When we feel like we need help or guidance we need to pray. Keeping that connection with our Father in Heaven is what brings us closer to Him and what helps us know when angels are attending us.
The full song for your anytime enjoyment.
I often feel overwhelmed with the bi-annual general conference. I feel inadequate and inspired. I have a hard time sometimes knowing what Heavenly Father wanted me to hear. I feel over-emotional about some of the things shared sometimes, and it can take me a few days to feel okay again. I debated doing an episode this week, but then the spirit touched my heart and told me what to say. The spirit also taught me what I needed to learn today from the conference. Tomorrow it might be something different than today's message.

Birth and Death

Why do we feel angels so closely at these transitional times? Also, how can we feel closer to the other side every day? Join me as I talk about these questions and why I think it happens this way and what we can do to feel angels more each day. There's a surprise at the end!
Do you ever wonder if you really belong here in this time and place? You do. So do I. We all have those Elisha moments when we really question if life is really worth living or question our purpose in God's plan.
Jesus Christ is the Foundation of my Faith. It is through Him that we are given the power to feel, hear and see angels.
They come when you least expect it. Like Elisha in a cave, we might wonder why we are even here on earth. Then the angel comes with a cake and says, "Here is a cake. Eat it and then go up that mountain."  We know they are there but they wait until the last minute to come to our aid! Why? Well if they saved us when we are still doing good we wouldn't have the time for introspection. Jeri is my sister and friend. I hope you find peace and feel inspired by this week's episode.
