Description

Welcome to Getting to Know Woo! I’m Natasha Levinger, a professional intuitive reader, energy healer and inner child healing expert. After being raised with extreme narcissism, I found talk therapy was helpful, but it wasn’t until I found energy and inner child healing that I was able to break free of family patterns that cut me off from knowing and loving my true self. I’m passionate about dispelling the rhetoric that these kinds of tools are impractical and ineffective. In this podcast I will be sharing just how beneficial and transformative they are. My husband and producer, Brett, will be joining me in conversation, and we’ll be welcoming experts along the way. I’m excited to have you here!

Host Natasha Levinger and her co-host/husband/producer, Brett are delighted to talk with Jor-El Caraballo, licensed therapist, author, and creator of the new deck, Shadow Work for Self-Reflection. In this episode, they discuss: Should Brett & Natasha start doing a relationship segment? Someone telling you their IQ is a red flag for Brett Jor-El's history and work as a licensed therapist Beginning to encounter shadow with clients before having the vocabulary Carl Jung got more esoteric and metaphysical as he aged and diverged from mainstream psychology An admiration for Jung's commitment to staying open and expanding throughout his life Blending any and every approach to healing that works for you Shadow work is the process of exploring and being curious about the wizard behind the curtain in your own psyche The importance of non-judgemental curiosity and compassion when approaching shadow work The benefits that come from shadow work How shadow work for yourself benefits the community at large It can be really scary to meet yourself The ways in which shadow can be wielded against others when we don't try to learn about it Shadow work can feel lonely, but there is always someone else out there who deals with the same kind of shadow The things we are afraid of often hold parts of our power Struggling with being an atypical boy growing up Golden Shadow: positive traits that you learn to shun The power of emotional sensitivity How embracing your shadow can enable others to embark on their own journey The ways that shadow can disguise itself from you as "just the way you are" The practice of naming and speaking to your inner critic to give yourself emotional distance Shadow work is never the pandora's box we fear it might be Brett wishes he could trick people into doing shadow work, but Jor-El advises against it Jor-El's recommendation for how to work with his deck: SLOW DOWN! Hopper from Stranger Things could use some serious shadow work Card pull for the week ahead And more! Plus... Sign up for Natasha's substack, Coming Home! Host Natasha Levinger and her co-host/husband/producer, Brett are excited to talk with Microdosing Facilitator Kayse Gehret. In this episode, they discuss: How Mark Slaughter features in the Sliding Doors version of Natasha's life The unbelievable true story of Natasha and the belching massage therapist Kayse is the least likely person to work with magic mushrooms She avoided all kinds of mind-altering substances due to gran mal seizure disorder Microdosing healed Kayse's seizures, but also brought a host of other benefits She started a microdosing community during Covid That community effort has grown to include a podcast, a website, and training others to do the work of guiding people through microdosing The different medicines that can be used for microdosing Microdosing is a sub-threshold dose, which means you don't feel altered. It allows you to get the benefits of these medicines in a bite-sized way that is easier to incorporate into your day-to-day life Microdosing is a different experience for everyone How to make sure you're getting the dose you expect How Kayse guides people remotely The gift of everyone going online during the pandemic was being able to spread communities around the globe Some popular misconceptions about these medicines These medicines should not be called "drugs" Are there specific medicines for specific conditions? The power of restful sleep for a regulated central nervous system How modern society contributes to nervous system overload The surprising overlap of microdosing guides with corporate HR The spiritual side of microdosing for Kayse How plant medicine quiets the "me" part of our brains Common misconceptions about microdosing What if microdosing doesn't seem to work? Host Natasha Levinger and her co-host/husband/producer, Brett are excited to welcome back queer mystic, astrologer, energy healer, Jonathan Koe, to talk about The I Ching. In this episode, they discuss: We're back! Is there anybody still here? Natasha has loved the I Ching since she was a teenager Jonathan started their practice a few years ago after a very powerful reading The gates in Human Design are inspired by the I Ching A variety of ways to approach the I Ching Because the I Ching is essentially bibliomancy, it makes itself very accessible Allowing your own knowing to come into your work with the I Ching When looking for "signs" is a desire to connect with the universe, and when it's a subordination of self Investigating your biases before you formulate your question for the I Ching The intelligence of the built-in slowness of querying the I Ching The best emotional place to begin casting from How the I Ching can connect you to your own power Approaching your time with the I Ching like being with a master or a teacher Connection to the divine through the I Ching A brief overview of the structure of the I Ching The I Ching is known as The Book of Change Natasha and Jonathan both find the I Ching very soothing, but also bossy The effect of the translator on English version of the I Ching Ending with a card reading for the week ahead And more! Host Natasha Levinger and her co-host/husband/producer, Brett eagerly welcome intuitive coach Katie Rose to the show to talk about what Human Design has to say about an upcoming paradigm shift called The Cross of the Sleeping Phoenix. In this episode, they discuss: Thoughts on how cultural evolution is supplanting genetic evolution in humans for emotional and physical growth Everyone is needed in the fight This is the time for allies to be showing up, everywhere Pulling oracle cards for the energy of the next two weeks Recalling Katie's last interview The new paradigm arriving in 2027, according to Human Design The previous paradigm allowed for setting up infrastructure and rigidity The new paradigm (The Cross of the Sleeping Phoenix) allows for gray area, complexity The new paradigm grounds in authenticity and community Not neglecting yourself in the caring of each other How energy healing helps to tell all the parts of yourself when you've changed and grown The importance of dealing with both emotional and intellectual understanding in your healing Brett forgets that podcasts are an auditory medium The advantages of energy work when compared to traditional therapy The hope that traditional therapy will also get a software update Building compassion for yourself allows you to build it for others It's normal to not heal in a "straight line" It is detrimental when we are dogmatic about the supremacy of any single system/philosophy/idea How the human brain views familiarity as safety, even when it is not actually safe But the brain can be re-educated What happened for Katie when a long-healed pattern cropped up again unexpectedly Approaching our own "negative" reactions with curiosity instead of judgement How curiosity can be enough while you are still learning to apply self-compassion Being triggered doesn't mean you're not growing How healing can be like turning on the light in a chaotic room And more! I've always had this sense that each element in the zodiac was working on something. Air, for example, struggles with discerning good and evil in Gemini, confidently embraces this challenge in Libra, and after all this deliberation, feels so sure it knows what is good that it's willing to do whatever is necessary to bring it about in Aquarius. Natasha said something really interesting about Gemini though. she said Gemini tries to navigate the divide between humans and God. So maybe air is trying to bring us closer to God and aquarius feels empowered to make that happen.
