Kingdom Dreamchasers! We are looking at Nehemiah through a 2026 lens?I've really enjoyed this journey in Nehemiah. This is our fourth part and our final part to this series talking about, as Christian businesswomen, what can we learn from Nehemiah? God commissioned Nehemiah to build, or really to fortify a wall that was crumbling.I believe that for many of us, we can relate. God gives us an assignment, He gives us a calling, we believe that as kingdom entrepreneurs, and sometimes it just… well, life feels hard, and it feels like the hedge of protection around our wall, our calling, can sometimes feel heavy, hard, and like it's crumbling. In this 4 part series, we've been getting a lot of insights from Nehemiah.Encouragement from him.Reminding us that God, the reason why we have a circle of prayer around our calling, (listen for further explanation)...The wall, it brings protection and security, and it brings provision, it reinforces our identity in our calling. This One Thing - What Else Matters?Build the foundation on the Rock.In this episode we go deeper into understanding these scriptures for our businesses. Matthew 7.We see Jesus concluding the Sermon on the Mount .The wise builder builds His house on rock so that it withstands the storms. The foolish build on the sand and when the storm comes it collapses completely.Luke 6.The wise builder comes TO HIM and hears His words and ACTS on them! This man "dug deep" and laid the foundation on the Rock - to withstand a flood without being shaken.1 Cor 3.Paul reminds us that the quality of our "works" will be tested by fire. Our works are are built on Him (and with Him) or they are burnt up. This is about the quality of our dreams. We share from Mark Batterson's book "The Circle Maker" to add great insight to our discussion.Psalm 40.He pulled me out of destruction, out of miry bog, and set my feet upon a ROCK, making my steps secure. A miry bog is a deep, slippery patch like slush, of muddy earth, difficult to escape from. Causes us to feel trapped and desperate. We talk about how many of us have been there at some point in our lives - but we don’t ever have to go there again - unless we choose to.NOW.1. Accept struggle as normal and the perfect opp to run to Him, draw closer for His presence, His guidance His solutions HIs peace2. Commit every morning (need steps, grab my how to for each morning - you will be amazed in just one week what God will do3. Know His promises - when the knocking comes - look up, smile in trust and who is on the throne of it all and repeat a couple of those promises from memoryRemember - if not you, then who?
