I was thrilled when Claire agreed to come on the pod with me, she is a mum of 3, Women's health GP, Practitioner at the Private Menopause Clinic (Menopause Health Matters in Ayr) and fellow CrossFit lover 😂
I pick her brain about lots of topics surrounding menopause, symptoms, HRT, alternative treatments, CBT, Lifestyle factors and I answer client questions around menopause including:
Does taking HRT delay actual menopause. ie can it prolong perimenopause?
Can bleeding increase when HRT dose increases?
Can menopause stop you losing weight or is that just cake?
Can contraceptive cause weight gain?
My cycle disappeared when I was breastfeeding, when it came back it was super short (22days) and has stayed this way consistently for a few years now...does this mean I'm perimenopausal? Should I see a doctor about a short cycle?
What to do if you feel your doctor is unsupportive?
Can hormones cause eczema flare ups? My flare ups are the round about same time every month although I don’t get period due to the Mirena coil.
