I believe God wants us to not just know of His Love for us, but also to experience His Love for us. But this is where it gets tricky, right? I mean, I remember questioning "Is this love?" during my early dating years. How does one know? It's hard enough to tell someone what love "feels like" when we're considering our human relationships. Can we really experience God's Love-His feelings-for us?
Well, that's exactly what I asked Him for during prayer recently: to be able to experience His Love for me.
And, being the good Father that He is, He responded. Click play to listen as I share all about it!
And I'm praying that you come to know His Love for you, too!

An unexpected eulogy. A missed opportunity. A lesson in Love.
It's no secret that my relationship with my late mother-in-law was difficult. But with certainty I can say God has taught me much through this challenging relationship, and she will forever be a blessing in my life.

After Jesus gently calls me to revisit my old Body Image wounds that I thought were healed, I come to know the truth: Jesus loves me too much to leave me with a partially healed, but still wounded heart. No, Jesus won't stop until each wound is fully healed and my heart has been completely restored.

As we go through life, we will all encounter things that just aren't right. Upsetting, confusing, worrisome things that we know are wrong. But how do we respond? This is the very question I was forced to consider after learning my mother-in-law was experiencing vision problems and confusion following a stroke. It happened during the same week I read about Jesus restoring the sight of a blind man during Mark's Gospel. As Jesus called me to reflect on this passage and my mother-in-law's upsetting health situation, He extended what I know now may be the most important invitation I've ever received... What would you say if Jesus was standing before you and you suddenly realized He wanted to wash your feet. How would you feel? What would you say? Don't answer right away. Sit with it.... That's exactly what I did for two days as this scene replayed in my mind. Jesus' request completely disarmed me. But I'm so very glad He helped me stay with it. Listen as I share all about the experience.
This episode also briefly discusses imaginative prayer, also known as Ignatian Contemplation. You can learn more about this below:
