735 - Copycatch-Up

2026-02-08--:--

This week, your friends Count Vardulon and DM watch an old movie they'd never seen before, and a less older movie they've seen lots of times but never talked about. The January Man could have been a good movie about hunting a serial killer, but it isn't. Copycat, on the other hand, is the serial killer hunting movie we all want to see. Tune in for a mini-review of The Wrecking Crew, and stay for some fun trivia about Christopher Lee.
This week, your friends Count Vardulon and DM catch up on two found footage/mockumentary franchises. Hell House LLC: Legacy is a disappointing entry in the Hell House series, eschewing both found footage and storytelling. Horror in the High Desert 4: Majesty is another great addition to the developing story. Tune in to find out what the Count has been watching, and stay for an embarrassing round of horror trivia.
This week, your friends Count Vardulon and DM are once again joined by Rob Rector to close out the month of Janaconduary with two more giant snake movies that feature, in one way or another, an anaconda. Lake Placid vs Anaconda doesn't have nearly enough versing or enough fun, but Pirhanaconda totally delivers what the other movie missed. Tune in for a mini-review of Bone Temple, and stay to find out what DM's been watching.
731 - Anaconduary Week 2

731 - Anaconduary Week 2

2026-01-1101:14:23

This week, your friends Count Vardulon and DM keep watching movies about anacondas. In a surprising move, Anaconda 3 picks up the story set in motion in Anaconda 2, and both movies have their merits. Tune in for more chat about IP and stay for a mini-review of Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire.
This week, your friends Count Vardulon and DM are joined by Rob Rector to celebrate the new year with one new movie and one old movie. Anaconda (2025) is a fun time but not anything special. The OG Anaconda, on the other hand, is just as great as you remember. Tune in for a couple of mini movie reviews, and stay to find out about other giant snake movies.
This week, your friends Count Vardulon and DM wrap up their month of Xmas horror movies with one good movie and one bad movie. Carnage for Christmas is worth seeing, even if it suffers a bit from bad sound. The Fright Before Christmas is just a big waste of everyone's time. Tune in for miserable round of horror trivia, and stay a ranked list.
This week, your friends Count Vardulon and DM are again joined by Rob Rector to talk two more Xmas movies. The 13 Slays of Xmas is as boring as it is way too long. Xmas Tale, on the other hand, is worth your time. Tune in for a mini movie review and stay for a second, much more pretentious movie review.
This week, your friends Count Vardulon and DM are joined by Rob Rector to ring in the season with two budget Xmas horror movies. The anthology movie Twas the Night attempts to moralize its violence, while Slay Ride is very clear on who is getting punished and why. Tune in for a disappointing movie review and stay for a tangential conversation about how The Purge works.
This week, your friends Count Vardulon and DM have watched all the video movies and have to make do with movies about video games. Sadly, arcade does not live up to the excitement you feel when reading the open credits. Brainscan, on the other hand, is actually pretty good. Tune in for too much chat about an episode of The Simpsons and stay for the laziest list ever listed.
This week, your friends Count Vardulon and DM continue their trip down memory lane with Super Mario Bros. and Wing Commander. One of them is better than you remember. Still not great, tho. Tune in to find out what DM is reading and stay to hear about what she's been watching.
This week, your friends Count Vardulon and DM announce this year's theme for 90s November: video game movies. They kick things off with Street Fighter and Double Dragon, one of which has held up much better than you remember. Tune in for a mini movie review, and stay to hear DM embarrass herself.
723 - Halloween Havoc

723 - Halloween Havoc

2025-11-0101:15:08

This week, your friends Count Vardulon and DM are tricked into watching a horror anthology that has nothing to do with Halloween. 10/31 part III is as hit-and-miss as one would expect, and Tales of Halloween is a misleading collection of too-long horror shorts. Tune in for a video game recommendation, and stay to find out what TV show DM is catching up with.
This week, your friends Count Vardulon and DM watch two installments of the 10/31 anthology series. Much like the VHS series from last week, there's little to recommend it, but there are a couple of gems buried in there. Tune in for a mini movie-review and stay for a middling round of horror trivia.
721 - Deathstalking Week 5

721 - Deathstalking Week 5

2025-10-1201:14:16

This week, your friends Count Vardulon and DM wrap up their deathstalking with the brand new Deathstalker movie. They also watch V/H/S Halloween because it's October. Can you guess which one is the better film? Tune in for a video game review and stay for a book report.
This week, your friends Count Vardulon and DM watch the fourth but no-long-final Deathstalker movie and it's surprisingly okay. And because it's October, they also watch a Halloween set anthology which is a confusing disappointment. Tune in for some political commentary and stay to find out what DM is watching instead of the X-Files.
718 - Deathstalking Week 2

718 - Deathstalking Week 2

2025-09-2101:12:16

This week your friends Count Vardulon and DM continue watching Deathstalker and Red Sonja movies. The new Red Sonja is no fun at all, but Deathstalker II is the comedy sequel we were all clamouring for. Tune in for a video game recommendation, and stay to hear a quick catch-up on the MCU.
717 - Deathstalking Week 1

717 - Deathstalking Week 1

2025-09-1301:11:10

This week, your friends Count Vardulon and DM begin watching all the Deathstalker movies in preparation for the new Deathstalker movie. They also watch Red Sonja, which they both really enjoy. Tune in for a couple of book reports, and stay for a disastrous round of horror trivia.
This week, your friends Count Vardulon and DM round out August by watching a trucker movie and what might be an actionable rip-off of another movie they watched this month. Not only is Black Dog chock full of trucking action, it's also educational. Wrecker, on the other hand, is really well shot but has little else going for it. Tune in to find out DM's current obsession, and stay for a truly abysmal round of horror trivia.
This week, your friends Count Vardulon and DM watch a couple of classic evil trucker road movies. Duel will make you long for the halcyon days of simple, no-nonsense filmmaking. And Breakdown will make you want to watch more Kurt Russell movies. Tune in for a brand new round of horror movie trivia in which DM does sort of okay, and stay for an X-Files check-in.
This week, your friends Count Vardulon and DM continue watching road movies and punish themselves with the Hitcher remake. They also watch Roadgames which is really good. Tune in for the most upsetting video game teaser, and stay for a mini movie review.
