Join Jim and Greg for the Friday 3 Martini Lunch as they close out the week examining new polling across the Western Hemisphere showing overwhelming approval for the removal of Venezuela’s Nicolás Maduro, California Gov. Gavin Newsom's obscene levels of spending with mostly failure to show for it, and Virginia Democrats taking power and immediately advancing their radical agenda.First, they welcome polling from throughout Latin America showing broad support for Maduro being ousted from power. In some places, the margin is more than 60 percent and even Mexico, which had the lowest approval for Maduro's ouster, still approved by 12 percent. But the big question about Venezuela remains - what comes next?Next, they shake their heads as Gov. Newsom submits a nearly $350 billion budget for his final year in office, a massive increase from when he first took office. Jim lists many different economic categories in which California ranks among the worst states despite having so many natural advantages. Finally, Jim and Greg cringe as Virginia Democrats open their legislative session by pushing the radical agenda many feared was coming. At the top of the list is a constitutional amendment to enshrine abortion with no exceptions. They also thank outgoing Gov. Glenn Youngkin for four years of relative sanity before he leaves office tomorrow and the onslaught of awful legislation ramps up.Please visit our great sponsors:Improve your sleep with Brooklyn Bedding. Join Jim and Greg for the Thursday 3 Martini Lunch as they consider President Trump seemingly backing away from taking action against Iran, more violence aimed at federal agents in Minneapolis while Gov. Tim Walz makes things worse again, and a lefty OBGYN can't tell Congress whether man can get pregnant.First, they're concerned as President Trump seems to accept the word of Iran or its intermediaries that the regime is no longer killing people in the streets or planning to carry out executions. Is there any evidence this is true? After promising the Iranian protesters that "help is on the way," has Trump changed his mind or the Iranian mullahs in for a surprise?Next, they document more unhinged violence against federal agents in Minneapolis, where an ICE agent was attacked by an illegal immigrant and others who joined the fight, and a mob ripped a gun case out of a federal vehicle. Meanwhile, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz continues to demonize ICE, further inflaming an already volatile situation. Then, they marvel as an OBGYN at a U.S. Senate hearing repeatedly refuses to answer whether men can get pregnant, hiding behind identity politics instead of stating basic biological facts. Finally, as longtime fans of the TV show 24, Jim and Greg briefly react to the recent arrest of series star Kiefer Sutherland and the details surrounding the incident. Please visit our great sponsors:Improve your sleep with Brooklyn Bedding. Join Jim and Greg for the Wednesday 3 Martini Lunch as they react to a lefty lawyer failing to define what a woman is to the Supreme Court, Michigan election officials refusing to clean up voter rolls, and new reports suggesting the mystery behind Havana Syndrome may finally be solved.First, they zero in on an ACLU lawyer who failed to define “girl,” “woman,” “man,” or “boy” when questioned by Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito during oral arguments over whether boys should be allowed to play girls' sports if they identify as girls. Jim says laws need to be precise and the left's arguments are always ambiguous and shifting.Next, Jim and Greg shake their heads at Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson’s office refusing to assist the Macomb County clerk in removing non-citizens from the voter rolls. Jim leans on some epic 90's references to explain just how derelict Benson's office is on this issue. Finally, they’re intrigued by new reports indicating the U.S. government may have identified the cause of Havana Syndrome, the mysterious and debilitating condition suffered by top U.S. military and intelligence officials in Cuba, China, the U.S. and other places around the world. And is it possible we used this same technology on the mission in Venezuela? Please visit our great sponsors:Improve your sleep with Brooklyn Bedding. Join Jim and Greg for the Tuesday 3 Martini Lunch as they break down Democratic National Committee Chairman Ken Martin likening anti-ICE protests to demonstrations in Iran, Sen. Elizabeth Warren urging Democrats everywhere to copy the Mamdani campaign, and Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer being investigated for corruption and other misconduct.First, they enjoy watching Sen. Warren encouraging Democrats nationwide to embrace the Mamdani agenda of free buses, free childcare, and rent control. If Democrats in competitive races want to openly run on socialism, Warren may be handing Republicans a major political gift.Next, they react to the Department of Labor Inspector General investigating allegations that Secretary Chavez-DeRemer had staff disguise personal travel as official business so taxpayers would cover the costs. And there are other serious concerns about her personal conduct. Finally, they’re stunned as DNC Chair Ken Martin not only conflates anti-ICE protesters in Minneapolis with demonstrators risking their lives in Iran, but also tries to draw parallels between the two governments. It's further evidence the Democrats are increasingly divorced from reality. Please visit our great sponsors:Improve your sleep with Brooklyn Bedding. Join Jim and Greg for the Monday 3 Martini Lunch as they tackle three major stories: the Iranian regime’s brutal crackdown on its own citizens and what a smart U.S. response should be, Democrats abruptly condemning pro-Hamas demonstrators after years of coddling them, and the rise of the so-called “Karen-tifada,” women who spend all day harassing ICE agents.First, they react to horrifying reports that hundreds or thousands of Iranians were killed in the streets by Iran's ruthless regime. President Trump warned there would be consequences for such atrocities. Will he make good on that promise, and what would an effective, strategic U.S. response actually look like?Next, Jim and Greg note a surprising but still highly suspect shift as numerous Democrats suddenly denounce a pro-Hamas rally held in a Jewish neighborhood of New York City. Condemning Hamas is the right thing to do but why are so many Democrats doing this major reversal in lockstep after so many took the side of these odious activists over the past few years? Finally, they chronicle the reckless and potentially dangerous actions of ICE Watch, a group largely made up of middle-aged or older women who track ICE operations, scream at officers, and sometimes interfere with enforcement efforts. Jim tries to figure their motivation for this madness. Greg reads off the horrific crimes committed by the dangerous people these women are inexplicably trying to protect from law enforcement. Please visit our great sponsors:Improve your sleep with Brooklyn Bedding. Join Jim and Greg for the Friday 3 Martini Lunch as they chronicle the parade of elected Democrats consistently ratcheting up their irresponsible rhetoric after immigration enforcement-related shootings. They also dive into the massive demand for change in Iran and Megyn Kelly drifting further in a bad direction.First, they're encouraged to see millions of Iranians in the streets condemning the mullahs who have left them destitute and demanding an end to the current government. The regime has now shut off internet access. Will a violent crackdown ensue, or will the movement just keep growing?Next, Jim and Greg vent as Democrats from Minnesota to Oregon and beyond react to shootings involving ICE and Customs & Border Patrol by demonizing federal law enforcement officers and inflaming the people they are supposed to be serving. Is it because they want rage instead of calm? Finally, they reject Megyn Kelly's latest explanation for standing by Tucker Carlson's softball interview of Nick Fuentes and her contention that Fuentes is "very interesting, very smart, and, on a lot of things, there is a lot of value to be derived from that guy's messaging."Please visit our great sponsors:Visit https://CoastPay.com/3ML to get free gas for a whole day. Join Jim and Greg for the Thursday 3 Martini Lunch as they break down the facts surrounding Wednesday’s ICE-involved shooting in Minneapolis and highlight both the mature and the grossly irresponsible reactions from political figures. They also update one of Wednesday's martinis and wonder if Kari Lake is planning a political comeback in a different state.First, after noting House Speaker Mike Johnson’s comments on taxpayer-funded abortions, Jim and Greg carefully walk through what actually happened in Thursday’s Minneapolis shooting. They spotlight NBC’s moment-by-moment coverage of the confrontation and commend those who resisted the urge to rush to judgment before the facts were clear.Next, they sharply criticize Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey for what they describe as wildly irresponsible overreactions and immediate conclusions about the fatal incident. Jim also calls out Minneapolis public schools for canceling classes for multiple days, suggesting the reasoning behind that decision is all too obvious. Finally, they shift gears and address the speculation that Kari Lake might run for U.S. Senate in Iowa after recently purchasing vacation property in her home state. So far, Lake is doing little to end the rumors of another campaign after statewide losses in Arizona in 2022 and 2024.Please visit our great sponsors:Visit https://CoastPay.com/3ML to get free gas for a whole day. Join Jim and Greg for the Wednesday 3 Martini Lunch as they recoil at Democrats' attempts to cover up corruption and failure but are glad to see it exposed. They also weigh on President Trump urging Republicans to be "flexible" when it comes to taxpayer-funded abortions.First, they welcome a day of congressional hearings that expose the full scope of the massive Minnesota welfare fraud scandal and the extraordinary lengths state officials allegedly went to hide it. Jim and Greg highlight testimony detailing how whistleblowers inside state government were pressured and intimidated in an effort to prevent the truth from emerging.Next, they reject President Trump's call for congressional Republicans to have flexibility on the Hyde Amendment as part of extending the Covid-era Obamacare subsidies. The Hyde Amendment forbids taxpayer dollars to be used to pay for abortions. Jim says flexibility is not even a practical option on this issue and Greg wants to know why Trump is asking the GOP to surrender any ground on this issue when its already making a huge concession. Finally, they fume as the author of the report on the Pacific Palisades fire refuses to endorse it after politicians and fire officials made "substantial modifications" and "significant deletions of information" to make the LAFD look better in its response to the fires. Join Jim and Greg for the Tuesday 3 Martini Lunch as they break down massive anti-regime protests in Iran and whether the ruling mullahs are finally in real danger, the death of a Republican congressman that tightens the GOP’s already slim House majority, and the absurd congressional quest of George Conway.First, they cheer on the widespread protests erupting across Iran after the country’s currency suffered a staggering collapse in value. Jim and Greg examine whether this latest wave of unrest has a better chance of toppling the regime than past uprisings, or if the theocratic government will once again respond with brutal crackdowns to stay in power.Next, they mourn the passing of Republican California Rep. Doug LaMalfa, a strong conservative who died at the age of 65. Combined with Monday’s resignation of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, House Republicans are left with an even narrower majority. Jim and Greg discuss how that complicates life for GOP leadership and criticize lawmakers who walk away from their seats mid-term for reasons other than serious health issues or scandal. Finally, they weigh in on the chaotic Democratic scramble to succeed Rep. Jerry Nadler in New York’s 12th Congressional District in Manhattan. Jim and Greg roll their eyes as Lincoln Project alum George Conway attempts to carpetbag his way into Congress, while Jack Schlossberg, grandson of John F. Kennedy, jumps into the race based on social media controversy and being a Kennedy. Please visit our great sponsors:Visit https://CoastPay.com/3ML to get free gas for a whole day. Happy New Year! Jim and Greg return to their regular format on the 3 Martini Lunch and kick off the year with some massive stories. They break down the stunning U.S. military operation to arrest illegitimate Marxist Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz announcing he will not seek a third term as his government is engulfed in scandal, and what President Trump wants to happen next in Venezuela and whether the remaining government will cooperate. First, they are blown away by the jaw-dropping speed, precision, and execution of the U.S. military mission that captured Maduro and his wife early Saturday in Caracas. Jim and Greg explain why the extraordinarily high level of difficulty sends a powerful message to America’s adversaries worldwide, and why no one should feel a shred of sympathy for Maduro after years of repression, corruption, and brutality.Next, they welcome the news that Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz will not seek a third term as his administration sinks under the weight of a massive state welfare fraud scandal. Jim reminds us that a lot of information was already known about this scandal even before Kamala Harris picked Walz as her running mate. And they consider how the political chairs will shift in Minnesota based on this decision. Finally, they consider what comes next in Venezuela after the capture of Maduro. Jim gives us very unpleasant briefing on the new Venezuelan leader and considers whether the Trump administration can get her to do what it wants done there. Please visit our great sponsors:Visit https://CoastPay.com/3ML to get free gas for a whole day. Happy New Year! Join Jim and Greg as they kick off 2026 with predictions for the year to come. In this special edition, they will start with safe predictions and get increasingly bold as the conversation continues.Jim's first prediction centers on what he expects will be a frequent and disturbing trend as America gets ready to celebrate 250 years of independence. Meanwhile, Greg is bracing for a horrible year in politics close to home as a purplish state shifts strongly to the left and horrible pieces of legislation will likely become law.Next, they get a bit bolder. Jim focuses on where he thinks the economy will be when the midterm elections roll around a little less than a year from now. Greg examines the midterms themselves and has good and bad news for both political parties. Finally, they issue their most aggressive predictions. Jim has an incredibly rosy outlook on where his and Greg's favorite NFL teams will be a year from now. Greg predicts a shocking verdict in a case that should be open and shut.New episodes every weekday. 👉 Subscribe to the show so you never miss a moment.Follow us for more daily clips, updates, and commentary:FacebookInstagramYoutubeOther InfoWebsite
Happy New Year! Jim and Greg are off today but we have you covered with one of their recent specials. Join Jim and Greg as they reflect back on the best, worst, and craziest elections in their memories.First, they start with their favorite elections. Jim looks back at one from earlier this century that not only brought satisfying results but was also a big boost to his career. Meanwhile, Greg feels old but excited in highlighting one from decades ago that was not only a fantastic night in the presidential race but that was also really good down ballot.Next, they look back on the toughest elections and one in particular stands out as Republicans seemed poised for a win but ended up well short. But the lingering effects of that election cycle have reverberated in every election cycle since. Finally, they think about the craziest elections they remember. Is it possible to have an election crazier than one major party nominee and former president getting shot and the incumbent president being forced to drop out by his own party? It's media day in our year-end 3 Martini Lunch awards and Jim and Greg have plenty to say about how things were covered - if they were covered at all. Specifically, they look at the stories the mainstream media covered far too much, the ones they conveniently ignored because they didn't fit their narrative, and they highlight what they saw as the best stories of 2025.First, they dig into the most overreported stories of the year, with Jim choosing a constant drumbeat from the mainstream media to help get a truly radical candidate elected in New York City. Greg says the media's obsession with turning every Trump story into a possible scandal is non-stop, but there was one incredibly inconsequential construction project in Washington that they just could not shut up about. Then it's on to the stories the media didn't cover much or didn't want to cover. Jim points to the scant media attention given to the remarkable educational advancements happening in Mississippi. Greg focuses on the media's yawning over the persecution of Christians, even when Trump and the pope are speaking out against it.Finally, they reveal their selections for best stories of the year. Jim focuses on the biggest diplomatic achievement of the year, was more than two years in the making, and brought relief or closure to many families. Greg's selection is much more personal, focusing on the incredible achievements of a family friend.Make sure to listen on Wednesday as Greg and Jim unveil their selections for Person of the Year, Loser of the Year, and Turncoat of the Year. More year-end awards today! Today, Jim and Greg tackle the fourth installment of the 3 Three Martini Lunch Awards. Today, they offer up their selections for the Best Political Idea, Worst Political Idea, and Boldest Political Tactics for the year. They start with the best ideas of the year. Jim applauds those who are advancing the cutting edge technology that will rapidly change our world. Greg cheers on those fighting to eliminate the most unfair tax of all. Then it's time for the worst political ideas of the year. Jim quickly zeroes in on a big aspect of the Trump economic agenda that may well be hurting the president's own efforts to bring prices down. Greg chides Trump for picking a fight with closest neighbors at a time when the lefties there were about to implode. Now we get five more years of leftist insanity. Finally, they're on to the boldest political tactics for 2025. Jim praises Trump for waving off the naysayers and neutralizing on of the world's major looming threats. Greg gives Trump and Elon Musk credit for trying to shrink our government. Even though it did not achieve all of its goals, at least someone finally tried - something neither party has shown any interest in doing for decades.Don't miss Tuesday's special edition as Jim and Greg reveal their choices for Most Overreported Story, Most Underreported Story, and the Best Story of 2025.New episodes every weekday. 👉 Subscribe to the show so you never miss a moment.Follow us for more daily clips, updates, and commentary:FacebookInstagramYoutubeOther InfoWebsite
We hope you had a wonderful Christmas! Jim and Greg are back today for the third round of the 3 Martini Lunch Awards. Today, they discuss the Biggest Lie, Best Political Theater, and Worst Political Theater of 2025.They start with the biggest lies of the year. Jim focuses on a political campaign that was built on multiple lies and media doing virtually nothing to call any of it out. Greg's choice centers on a statement from a top administration official that led to major blowback from President Trump's own officials. Then it's time for the best political theater of 2025, with Jim choosing something President Trump does a lot that President Biden avoided whenever possible. Greg suggests theater isn't exactly the right description for his moment, as he focuses on the powerful statement of Erika Kirk at her husband's memorial service. Finally, they cringe remembering the worst political theater of 2025. Jim points out a prominent Democrat politician who was totally AWOL when she was most needed by her constituents. Greg chooses the very same politician (and others) but for a very different reason. Please join us on Monday as Jim and Greg hand out their awards for Best Political Idea, Worst Political Idea, and Boldest Tactic for 2025.New episodes every weekday. 👉 Subscribe to the show so you never miss a moment.Follow us for more daily clips, updates, and commentary:FacebookInstagramYoutubeOther InfoWebsite
We hope you are having a very Merry Christmas! Jim and Greg are spending the day with their families, but we're happy to present an encore presentation of a recent special edition of the 3 Martini Lunch!Join Jim and Greg as they dive into stories that didn’t quite make the cut for full martinis in recent weeks but still deserve attention. Jim examines the persistent challenges of inflation and America’s skyrocketing debt, while Greg highlights a major Trump victory at the United Nations and new signs that one expected 2028 Democrat contender may be bowing out before the race begins. Then they get a little but more on the lighter side for their final martinis.First, Jim notes that while inflation is much more under control than during the Biden administration, it's still stubbornly at or around three percent year-over-year most months and it's still making many Americans sweat. Greg focuses on the Trump administration leading the charge to stop a United Nations carbon emissions tax on shipping. Greg cheers the latest win in blocking the left's green agenda and higher prices for the goods on those ships. Jim adds another critical point that's key in any discussion of the United Nations.Next, Jim shudders as the national debt officially soars beyond the $38 trillion mark and he's especially horrified at how fast the debt is growing. Meanwhile, Greg points out recent comments from Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer suggesting she may not run for president in 2028. That would be good news given Whitmer's terrible record as governor. Finally, Jim explains how the NFL's desire to reach younger fans could soon lead to a significant drop in viewership. Greg wonders if there is any integrity left in competition after another cheating scandal rocks a world championship.New episodes every weekday. 👉 Subscribe to the show so you never miss a moment.Follow us for more daily clips, updates, and commentary:FacebookInstagramYoutubeOther InfoWebsite

Today they remark on the people connected to politics that they're most sorry to see pass away in 2025. They also share their choices for rising political stars and those who appear to be fading into political oblivionThey begin with those who left us over the past year. They both select what they consider to be the obvious choice: the shocking, public murder of one of the most powerful and persuasive voices on the right and impact he was having on American politics. Greg also highlights a dedicated policy expert who fought the good fight against Obamacare and the passing of his favorite Democrat. Then it's on to a much happier subject as they consider the rising political stars for 2024. Jim selects a pair of figures from a key swing state who could end up facing off against each other in 2026. Greg chooses a freshman senator who already has a strong track for getting things done. Finally, Jim sees one of the most prominent figures from last year already fading into oblivion. Greg picks a likely 2028 presidential candidate whose record is one of repeated, abysmal failure. When it comes to underrated political figures, Jim and Greg agree on a Trump cabinet member who avoids the spotlight but consistently delivers strong results. Greg also offers an honorable mention to a figure who played a key role in the GOP’s victory in the government shutdown fight, even if there’s still significant room for improvement in other parts of the job.For Most Honest Political Figure, Jim highlights a Democratic lawmaker who openly criticized his party’s incoherent stance during the shutdown and beyond. Join Jim and Greg for the Monday 3 Martini Lunch as they break down growing tensions on the right following a heated Turning Point USA event, Rep. Elise Stefanik’s abrupt exit from the New York governor’s race, and a Michigan U.S. Senate candidate fantasizing about assaulting U.S. Supreme Court justices.First, they react to Ben Shapiro’s speech on how politics and journalism should be conducted, including his sharp criticism of Tucker Carlson for platforming figures like Nick Fuentes without challenging their views. Carlson then returned verbal fire and accused his critics of trying to divide people. Jim says the right is not well-served by tolerating conspiracy theories and playing footsie with anti-Semitism.Next, they dig into why New York Rep. Elise Stefanik decided to pull the plug on her campaign for governor. They also examine how the year started with President Trump choosing Stefanik to be his ambassador to the United Nations and ended with Trump refusing to endorse her run for governor. Finally, they get a glimpse of another unhinged Democrat running for U.S. Senate in Michigan, as State Senator Mallory McMorrow says she heard Supreme Court Justices Amy Coney Barrett and Brett Kavanaugh attended a tailgate at her alma mater of Notre Dame University. McMorrow suggests she would have thrown beer in their faces. But the rest of the Democrats running are also really bad. Please visit our great sponsors:Go to https://OmahaSteaks.com and use code 3ML at checkout for an extra $35 off. Minimum purchase may apply. Okay it's been three episodes of this Trump sycophant. Please bring Jim back as soon as possible.
I'm disappointed in today's show. I listen because you guys make me eat my vegetables(think). But making excuses for McCarthy was like having to eat a whole pot of greens beans with no meat. Yuck.
This is a great podcast for a rundown of the days top stories!5 stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
OMG! How absurd. This woman must be being paid by dem political folks to keep changing the goal post
Ford just threw a grenade into a crowd then walked away. Are we really going to pretend that there's any modicum of truth here? Absolutely NOT
