Description

Hi performers! Welcome to the Sing Confidently, Live Creatively podcast, a show for professional and pre-professional performing artists who want to build confidence in their singing!

Are you intentionally pursuing a professional career as a musical theatre actor but your voice is not as powerful or reliable as you'd like?

Do you want to feel confident in your voice at auditions or on-stage, but don’t know how to develop your vocal technique?

Do you wish you could learn how to belt, mix, improve your vocal range, or sing riffs, but you don't know where to start?

I get it! Hi, I’m Estelle, a Professional Singer, Actor, and Voice Teacher in my online studio, Creatively Performing Arts. I also teach and music direct locally in North Carolina at various music studios and theaters!

I grew up performing, but everyone kept telling me to save the arts for retirement or the weekends. So after college, I went to medical school, thinking that was the safest path. But I realized I had those creative passions for a reason and couldn't stay in a career that hid my gifts. So, I decided to leave. Dramatic, I know, but I'm in theatre after all!

After I left medical school, I started a Masters in Music and Music Education at Columbia University (hybrid) and developed my voice intentionally while helping other singers along the way. I began to build confidence in my dreams and my voice beyond what I'd ever known!

I want to help you do the same - build confidence in your singing voice so you can live your creative dreams!

On this show, you will learn how to sing with more confidence, how to train your voice consistently, how to prepare your songs for auditions, how to belt, how to develop mix technique, how to breathe properly as a singer, and more!

You’ll get mindset tips to help you take action on your creative gifts in spite of imposter syndrome, self-doubt, rejection, and fear of what people think.

With incredible guests, from Broadway performers to a Latin Grammy award winner, to local theatre and music artists, and my own current and past experiences, this will be your one-stop shop for all things singing, performing, and creative inspiration! Plus, you’ll hear lots of fun musical theatre references!

Alright choir lovers and theatre-kids-turned-theatre-adults, this is your time.

Start singing with CONFIDENCE today!

Hi Performers! Today's vocal warm up (starting at 3mins.) will help you start to coordinate your muscles so that you can more easily develop your mix between your chest and your head voice, and build your belt technique as well! It's about 5 1/2 minutes long from about 3:00mins-8:30mins. :) If you feel like your voice isn't producing the mix or belt you really want, you're comparing your voice to singers on Tiktok and Youtube or Broadway cast recordings, and you just don't feel confident in your ability to sing musical theatre songs, these vocal warm ups will help you get started on your journey of feeling confident in your mix & belt technique - which is essential for being a musical theatre performer! Listen in and sing along!   Warm ups: Focus on resonance, chord closure, and mix-belt - Hum-ah - Gee-gee-gee on a 5th - Ha on an octave  - Mmm-I Know x4 through mix and into chest voice   WHAT NEXT? → Book your voice Lesson! -  creativelybyestelle.com/studio   → Sing Confidently Course - creativelybyestelle.com/course   → Instagram community HERE ( and follow me :) or Facebook community HERE!   → Join the email list HERE!   → Email me - hello@creativelybyestelle.com   → Leave a review HERE!   → Share this episode with another aspiring singer/performer!
