One of the questions I get asked a lot from first responders getting married, or entering a serious relationship is: "How much do I tell my spouse about the tough calls?" Well, that's not an easy question to answer. However, I've had a few of those myself, so my wife Crystal and I sat down to have a conversation about it.

As first responders we're frequently frustrated. Those frustrations can become so commonplace that it's hard to think past them. However, we can, and we should take steps to put those things in a proper perspective. The Apostle Paul gives a very practical way to help us do that, and we'll look at what he says in this new episode of the 10-7 Ministries Podcast!!
FDR famously said: "the only thing we have to fear is fear itself..." Is that true? Maybe... I do know that fear is one of the most powerful emotions that deal with. It shows itself in our anxieties, it can make us ill, and it can ruin our lives? So, we'll look at some of what the Bible says about fear, and look at easy ways we can try and address it in our own lives.

First responders tend to stuff their feelings and move onto the next call. However, this isn't always the healthiest thing to do in the long term. This episode looks at the importance of taking time to process through the difficult things that we experience, with one of the major parts to that being allowing ourselves to really "feel" that range of emotions.
We all know that trials will come, they're inevitible. Today we consider a passage in James that will seem difficult to take for some. Hwever, I encourage you to push through and know that there is always hope!
We all have those times where we feel alone, and maybe feel like God has given up on us. Maybe we even feel like someone who is lost in the desert, wandering around with no relief in sight! The desert can be a desolate place, but in the Bible it plays a different role. We'll look at that different role, and the importance of approaching difficult times with the right attitude and perspective.
As first responders we're willing to bring in backup if we need help on a call. We need to be willing to ask for help in other areas of our live's too. Today we'll look at what the Bible says about community, and think through ways that we can come alongside our brothers and sisters who need some backup to get through the tough times.
