This episode discusses some of the phrases commonly seen on the internet about health, fitness, and self-improvement. Things like
“We all have the same 24 hours in a day”
“Just get up off your ass and do it.”
“You’re just not trying hard enough.”
“No excuses!”
These aren’t helpful in enabling us to work towards our goals and they usually make us feel crappy in the process if we can’t do it. No shame here. Turns out you’re pretty normal if you feel this way! Not to mention this doesn’t take into account different circumstances in life including physical and mental illness.
Check it out for a perspective that doesn’t subscribe to this and a different mindset to consider.

The world of supplements can be very confusing and like the Wild Wild West out there. Many do not work like they say they do and even the ones that do are nice to have but not 100% necessary. This episode dives into which supplements are worth your time and which ones to skip if you choose to look into them.

This episode describes the 4 phases I've seen and experienced as a coach when mental health starts affecting your fitness. This is not an exhaustive list and it is not published data or a formal scientific study, just a compilation of observations over the last 11 years of my career.
It discusses how grief, loss, mental illness, stress, etc influences workout motivation and how to trust yourself to know it will eventually get better.
