People who feel and see a great sense of meaning in their being, and its significance to life, can handle in a much better way, social pressures associated with the ever-demanding modern human lifestyles. This is because when you exude a sense of meaning, it’s an effect caused by your own natural readiness and usefulness in creating possibilities and solutions, to any challenging situations. In other words, you’re ready made and all set with a creative and solution-seeking mind that intends to give value, hence the quality of meaning.   On the contrary, those who lack a sense of meaning about themselves, may be more likely to struggle often, feel stuck and without much progress in their lives, and ultimately lose their confidence, self-belief, self-esteem etc., possibly because their mental setting is focused on getting and receiving, and hence lacks any great sense of meaningfulness about who they are and what they are here for. When this happens, unfortunately, it creates an opening for a sense of hopelessness to creep in, which itself will simply flush out any feelings of excitement one may have had about life and the future.   In a quest to add quality into life, so it feels meaningful, interesting, and joyous, many people might lean more on wealth creation and the acquisition of material things. If the economic atmosphere is favourable and allows for one to accrue a good number of valuable possessions or money, this becomes a lesson that wealth is an effective way to give one’s life a sense of meaning. However, a sense of meaning tied to the status of the economy, as well possessions and wealth generated therefrom, is just as uncertain and lacking in stability like the economic atmosphere itself, often on a seesaw spiral.   If you’ve been around a couple of decades, you must, I believe, by now have learnt that when it comes to matters of the economy, you cannot always have your life feel as great as you want. In other words, you are never ever going to find it any easy to influence the outcomes you desire to experience in life. So, getting your life tied to something outside of your control, like the economy and wealth generation, for example, is never a best approach, if you want to create a lasting sense of meaningfulness and seamlessness in life.   How then can you bring the culture of meaning into your life, and one that can stand the test of time?   What you can do: Firstly, say no to yourself for adopting a life that is forever hooked on the economic index or is driven by what you always expect to get, both of which you have no control over, and can easily allow a sense of hopelessness to trickle into your life. Secondly, and most importantly, see value in you and seek for some clear and preferable passageways to give it away. Surely, there’s value in you, as is in every other natural being, and if you can see it, it’s all yours to control. How you choose to disburse the value you have within is the beginning of the meaning of your life, and it’s called purposeful living.   Ready to dig deep and learn more? Listen now to Episode 16 of the Restructure Your Life Podcast.   *IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT*  Beginning 12th March 2023, the Centre for Knowledge (CfK) Kajabi Account will be placed on a “PARKED” mode for an uncertain period.  This means the entire CfK website, including the blog, podcast, membership, and as well email services, will not be accessible during such a period.  All this has come about as a result of CfK’s financial difficulties, mostly linked to the new era following the advent of Covid 19, and even more so the recent price escalations associated with the Russia – Ukraine war.  Early this month, February 2023, the current season of the CfK membership also failed to attract the right number of members, with most citing financial difficulties.  This therefore means the CfK, which all this time has been self-sponsored by founder Dr. Benson N. Modie, will not be able to continue paying for the Kajabi online hosting services, beginning the 12th of March 2023.  Given the nature of the CfK project, being more a life project than a business project, the services will certainly resume when the financial situation improves.  Thank you so much for your support and hopefully you’ll still show your support when things get better.   *In the meantime, I’ll continue to send motivational and inspirational emails to those in the CfK mailing list, and if you’re interested but not in the list just click on the following link to subscribe: https://www.cfkmotivation.com/ml    Kind regards, Dr. Benson N. If you look back to since the time you arrived on Earth, your quota of year-long moments of existence, has always seemed like a guarantee. To that effect you hardly think much about any possibility of being denied another year, as long as you remain in good health. That as it may be, if you are like most, you may be feeling a sense that life is too short, despite the many successive priceless gifts of years you get offered annually. If that is your experience too, why does it feel that way in your view?   The fact that life is made of challenges, to me, is one of the key factors that plays a major role in causing the feeling or experience of life seemingly being short. You may be one of those experiencing a barrage of challenges in your life, and all your pathways to what you consider best options to enjoy your life, may seem barricaded by endless obstacles. In such a situation you may be spending most of your time working out some plans to getting around the obstacles on your way. Unfortunately, many people, which possibly includes you, only look for quick fixes or short cuts, which are by themselves not adequate to get you far into your extra mile.   What then transpires in your entire life is that challenges and obstacles simply recur, and you get back to finding another quick fix, a scenario that’ll keep repeating, until, before you know it, the year comes to an end. This is when it feels like life didn’t happen for you, as the entire gift of a year was spent with all your focus on fighting challenges and obstacles. There was never really a time to truly appreciate the goodness of the gift of another moment to experience the value of life. So then, life feels short.   Challenges and obstacles, though a menace to your life, have a lighter side about them. When viewed from another angle, challenges and obstacles can be a much welcome test to help you dig deep within and bring the best of your abilities to surface or awaken the giant within you. On that note, there’s only really one truly effective way to plan for challenges and obstacles, so you can get the most out of your moment in life, so that life doesn’t feel that short anymore.   If your life feels like a beehive of challenges and obstacles, and you just can’t seem to figure out how to make life happen for you, this year could be the most significant new beginning to greater things. How exactly, you may wonder? Well, if you’re looking to rid yourself of the agony of seeing your year seemingly fast-forward to the end with little to no great living experience to cherish, then you’re going to have to begin this year with you in mind.   Ready for a new beginning? If so, then Episode 15 of the Restructure Your Life Podcast is exactly the start you need to make life happen for you. You know, life is beautiful when you create your own future. Ready? Listen to the episode now and make life happen your way.   *The CfK Lively Up Your Life Membership begins again on February 1st, and if you have any interest about joining here's a link below to get more information on that >  Click for more on the Membership
If you live on the part of the world where people follow the Gregorian calendar system, the end of the year, popularly tagged “the festive season”, is usually a highly anticipated and most eventful period in modern life. This is because it provides a much-needed break from all forms of productive work that commenced earlier, and non-stop, since the beginning of the year. People use this period to enjoy the fruits of their labour, or just for relaxation, by engaging in several activities like shopping errands, visits to places of interest, get togethers of sorts, and many more other acts depending on the culture of people where you are.   I remember once upon a time, during my earlier days as a toddler, how as kids we used to look forward to both Christmas and New Year days with an elephant-size anticipation, because it was the only times we usually got pampered with sweets, cool-aid, and new clothes. You can imagine the excitement even after a year long wait, and for us kids it was the best time ever of the year. Needless to say, decades on, and with much development, as well kids being able to get anything they desire anytime of the year, there seems to be a lot more suffering in society. The “festive season” for most isn’t much fun, given the escalating costs of living, which in the current year is worsened by situations of disease, famine, and war in some parts of the world, and possibly many other causes.   If despite working ever hard this year, to make life happen for you, it has only been a case of “the tough gets going”, and there’s little or nothing to celebrate this festive season, don’t despair but seek to make changes for better in the future. As the wise from yesteryear observed, “Rome was not built in a day”, and hence your success too will come into fruition not today but in the future.   The end of the year is not only good for festivities but is equally a great period to review your past and self-appraise, so you can determine what worked and what didn’t. Taking a moment to self-appraise will allow you time to consider possible interventions, tweaks, and pivots, before the next year begins, so you can do things differently and successfully going forward, to have something you can truly celebrate by the end of the next year.   Do you somehow feel like this has not been your year, like, there’s been no bumper harvest to warrant any celebrations, and you would rather have the next year begin sooner than later? Don’t let this give you any feelings of frustrations, hopelessness, or despair, and neither should you get infuriated by the excitement of others, who probably made better use of opportunities coming their way. For you it’s a call to action, like, use the moment to plan ahead, for the coming year. If you’re seriously in the mood to influence a better life experience in the next year, and going forward in life, then the next Episode 14 of the Restructure Your Life Podcast has some insightful take home for you to consider.   Don’t let yourself be discouraged by a non-eventful festive season. Instead, show some gratitude for each day you get offered, by listening to the episode to make some value picks and get the most out of this period. Listen now or just download to listen on the go and make your days count.                                                                                                                 *CfK Lively Up Your Life Membership Opens February 2023* >>Learn More Here<<
Do you ever pay attention and consider the extent of your journey of life, from since where it started, whether or not you’ve truly made the most out of each moment provided? That life is short, and we only have a moment in this form on Earth, is something many would consider obvious. You’ll probably agree with me also that the idea of life being thought of as short stems from our desire to live a much longer and fulfilling experience. In other words, you and I, each expect to go the distance in our experience of life on Earth.   If you hold the same views but somehow feel like your moment hasn’t yielded much to celebrate about, it may well be that you’re your own obstacle in many ways. You could be killing your living time by simply remaining ignorant of the fact that you actually have a limited moment, which itself is a call-to-action for you to make each moment count. However, that lack of attentive presence to remain mindful of your every moment means there’s never any real sense of urgency to touch base with your journey of life. Not just that, but the world you live in also has so much happening before you, enough to distract you from what matters most, though it may not seem like a distraction at all because it feels good. This is when you’re just maybe a spectator and enjoying the good that others are making possible, in their own journeys of life, while yours isn’t making any headways.   A common practice is to keep abreast with whatever is trending in life, and in a way totally divert attention from what’s likely to advance your course, and worse still nurture that greatest thief of time called procrastination. I think we’ve all come across many of such people who seem to have all the time in the world to do anything else except what they truly need to do to advance their lives. Maybe you’re one of those who, without due regard for what truly matters to advance their lives, will choose to follow political debates religiously and endlessly, or siphon their critical resources in support of some sporting acts, or spend unreasonably long hours hooked on social media etc., but all this for no clear and definitive outcomes to influence a better future for themselves.   If you find that maybe in your life you’ve developed some kind of defensive mechanism against why you just can’t act now to get your life advancing, know that soon, before you notice, there’ll be no time left for your journey. Make effort to catch yourself repeating endlessly, and never followed by any action, phrases like “my time is coming”, or “I’ll do this next time”, or “someday will be some day”, which only serves to strengthen the habit for procrastination.   Are you in anyway caught up in such a defensive cage, which is really costing you much of your living time? Do you have any desire to not kill time, by engaging in anything but what matters most to advance your life, and instead live your moment fully and consciously so? If you’ve answered yes then the next Episode 13 of the Restructure Your Life Podcast is all you need to create a breakthrough, by establishing a focal point of your life.   Listen to the episode now or just download to listen on the go and begin to add another dimension into your life.
If you have to aim high all the time, in all you do and want, but have no consideration at all about the relevance of your readiness to make the transition, you’ll soon run out of targets to aim at and achieve. We all are familiar with the saying “you can’t walk before you crawl” or “you can’t sprint before you run”, and all these pointing to the need to master some basic and foundational know-how, before you can expect to make some advancement in life. You and I have witnessed this clearly in others, even though we may not be aware of our own experiences of it.   It's common practice for most to overlook their readiness to advance to a greater level of the experience of life, and for that end up not doing well to achieve the success they want. This is just as a little kid may decide to walk, or even run, on their first success at standing upright, which we all know can be catastrophic. Fortunately, for little kids the desire to get up from a stumble and try again is hugely irresistible, because of the excitement of a new discovery that lets them stand and move around quicker than when crawling. For an adult person though, like you and me, at which level we have a thing called Ego, we often crumble after a stumble, and rarely manage to get up and try again.   Clearly, to learn and master the basic and foundational skills of mobility is the most critical step any growing kid must undertake, if they are to ready themselves for the next level of an advanced stage of human life. Bear in mind that such skills of mobility, once attained, become a life-long necessity, and are not only relevant during the early stages of child growth. The same is true for the basic lessons we get exposed to at an early stage of our lives, particularly at schools.   One of the greater challenges that faces human development, and specifically at the individual level, is that when it comes to the system of education, we tend to overly lean on modern and sophisticated ways. Then when you get stuck the tendency is to also seek for quick and sophisticated solutions, rather than getting back to basics and try over again, like in the case of a little kid stumbling. This inability to see a connection between early life lessons, which essentially provide a foundation to any future success, is the cause of much lack in advancement, in the lives of many.   Maybe you’re one of those who has been aiming high and hoping to yield greatly from your higher educational qualifications, for example, but you’ve since missed most of your targets. If you are wondering how exactly you can fall-back on your early educational lessons to give your life a breakthrough in advancement, Episode 12 of the Restructure Your Life Podcast is the greatest reminder you need to hear.   Interesting? Interested maybe? Listen to the episode now or just download to listen on the go at a more convenient moment for you.
That life is tough is simply stating the obvious, and if you have to bother yourself too much about it than find a way to get yourself involved, you’ll be inviting procrastination into your mental space. One thing that separates people who are successful in life and those who tend to be perennial strugglers, is that the former believes so much in their natural abilities and inner power to make things happen for them, while the latter tend to give away their power by believing that in life there are such things as “the chosen few”.   Whereas the typical perennial strugglers would simply wait for orders, ideas, suggestions, or directions from those others considered in the know, success-oriented people on the other hand usually have one or more things already in their minds to try out and get their lives moving forward. This tendency to overly rely on others on matters of your own life creates stagnation as you wait endlessly for something you have no control over. Truth be told, if you can’t get control of your own life, but instead just live it up to chance or others, you’ll never experience any sense of effective living throughout your entire moment here on earth. If you allow this to happen, then you’ll have missed the whole trip of human life on this great planet.   Nature is configured in such a way that every process has a role to play, and as well some outcomes to yield. That means you too, being natural, are designed to operate in a similar manner. You must see in yourself a complete functional human being, driven by the same power that drives all other natural processes. The only thing you need to figure out is how to utilise the bountiful supply of natural power to create outcomes that supports and meet life desires. This literally means having to find out what you were meant to do here in life. Like, what role are you here to play to support human life?   So, if you can identify a clear role that suits your deepest interests and preferences, which can contribute significantly to enhance life in some way, then your days of procrastination and looking up to others to cater for your needs would be over. You’ll instantly cease to be a perennial struggler as finding your preferred life role is only a step away from uncovering your purpose for being. The latter then becomes your natural drive to success and overall effective living.   To be effective in living life demands that you engage in what matters most to you, so the outcomes therefrom can generate a lasting sense of fulfilment. If you have been feeling uncertain about how you can add clarity and meaning in your life, and as well spark some inner urge and desire to proactively get involved, then this Episode, 11, of the Restructure Your Life Podcast is your best starting point.   Listen now to the podcast and begin to make your life feel like a meaningful and worthy venture here on Earth.
If you have to endure the frustration of waiting in anticipation for some promised good in life every political electoral phase, now is the time to take the long wait out of your mindset. No doubt, you and I have seen this calibre of people, who, come rain or sunshine, always exhibit some great and envious level of commitment, resilience, joy, and passion, in what they do. Like, for example, great athletes who despite tiredness, exhaustion or even picking up some injuries, will resiliently soldier on to reach the finish line.   If you’ve ever wanted to be as enthusiastic and self-driven, in the way you live your life, find below two great tips on becoming a life enthusiast, so you can show-up each day highly motivated to act with interest on the things you do, and as well derive pleasure from it.   1. See yourself as having been created for a specific purpose! Have you ever wondered why there are work organisations, and people who work there, and as well the services and products they make available? It is because they serve a great purpose that drives and maintains human life. So, for the top achievers and work enthusiasts involved there’s always a sense of meaning in what they do, and hence they too feel meaningful to human life, through the purposeful work they do.   The realisation of purposefulness in your involvement or engagement in life acts, and the experience of meaningfulness in it, is the spark that works to set alight the quality of enthusiasm in life. Now, to completely encrypt that signal of daily frustrations while you endlessly wait for some anticipated good, through governance systems etc., you can already zest up your daily life experience by presenting yourself as a being of purpose in all that you do.   2. Grow a purpose seeking mindset! Look at it this way, each one of us is but a tiny part-component of the infinitely diverse system that is life, and we each have a specific role to play, for the entire system of life to be fully functional and complete. What you can do is to seek for some enjoyable and value-addition ways for taking part in life. If the tiniest of ants can keep themselves purposely and happily busy in their daily lives, by picking a sand grain at a time, from below the ground, to construct a series of interconnected tunnels with chambers, for various purposes, such as food storage, nurseries for ant larvae, and as well rest places, it shouldn’t be much of a brainer for you to figure out a purposeful role to play in human life. The latter more so when considered in view of the hugely challenging modern human lifestyles, always in demand for more efforts to create solutions that can meet ever-growing human needs.   Have you any desire to change your experience of life, from one that’s perhaps overly dependent on others to lively up your experience of feeling good in life, to one that is truly independent, self-driven, and greatly inspired from within? If this is interesting and you want to learn more, just dive-in to listen to the podcast.
In a normal situation, or stated differently, in the absence of, say for example war, major conflicts, etc., the process of living life is the same for everyone. Whatever happens to you in your everyday life is often the result of your decisions and choices, whether aware or unaware. In other words, your personal experiences are to a large extent determined by how you manage yourself in life. For example, different people when exposed to the same experience will be affected differently depending on their personal responses, which reflects varied personal management skills.   Life itself remains the same everywhere, with manifestations of different conditions at different times, which affects different people. How effective one will be, to exist in such life conditions and lead a happy and meaningful life, largely depends on the management-of-self-in-life by the individual. Unfortunately, this is a highly ignored fact of life by many people, with most choosing to blame external factors, including other beings, for the outcomes of their lives.   No doubt, your own life can only turn out to be as good or bad as your own initiatives at managing yourself, when pitted against all that nature throws at you. Sadly, far too many individuals have passed-on without ever attaining the experience of a meaningful and happy living they possibly could, owing to a lack of much intent to deliberately manage oneself, in a way that influences better outcomes in personal life. To attain such, one need not look anywhere else, but internally, to bring out the best from within and develop skills for the effective management-of-self throughout all life.   The process of managing yourself in life, and not others, is the critical prerequisite to building a strong base or foundation for a greatly stable and fulfilling long-term life experience. What it means is that, when it comes to your life, you’ve got to start with yourself, to take the role of that first brick, manufactured at the highest possible specifications, so it can be laid out to form the most robust of a foundational structure. Your life requires you to be that critical anchor to what matters most to you.   However, like anything else we know and do, there is a need to learn first such skills of managing oneself in life. The best teaching aid is to live the skills yourself. If you’ve been feeling like your life is just wobbling in the wilderness of human life or floating aimlessly like a balloon, and you need to make a tight grip, take this moment to dive into this month’s episode of the Restructure Your Life Podcast.   In this episode, you’ll learn about 10 critical pillars that promotes the quality of effective living, which you can already begin to make a part of your daily life, through thoughts and action, slowly but progressively, and ultimately create a sense of being in charge of your own life.   Interesting? Interested? Listen to the podcast now.
Do you sometimes in your life experience moments where you find yourself concerned and wondering about your value as a person, and as well having to ponder over your fate? Perhaps there are moments where you undertake some self-appraisal sessions just to appreciate how your life is going, and whether or not you are really having a significant experience of living. When you look around your circle of friends, acquaintances, as well your community at large, it seems everyone you know, including former classmates, current workmates etc., are way ahead of you in advancing their lives, but yours shows no bit of improvement in years. You nevertheless accept the fact that we all are gifted differently, as individuals, and hence you are never really going to match the extent at which others are able to make progress in their lives.   Nevertheless, you are not happy about your life situation, and you continue to probe your mental system. You then switch into a question-thinking mode and ask some self-directed questions, like, “How come I’m out and about each day, putting all the effort, but there isn’t much to feel excited about in my life? Is there more to life than getting up each morning to go to work, earn a salary, and support your family? Could there be perhaps a specific job that I’m uniquely called to do, such that I’ll feel hugely inspired and make some tremendously fulfilling contributions, which ultimately can give my life a boost in all aspects? Or is it just me lacking in direction to streamline my use of resources for a greater level of effectiveness and personal productivity?”   If this sounds familiar and you often find yourself going through such an internal question-thinking forum, it’s a good sign. Firstly, it is a call-to-action from your inner-self, alerting you to the fact that your journey of life hasn’t truly taken-off. Secondly, and perhaps most importantly, the questions you pose are a sign that the “student” in you is just about “ready”, and hence “the teacher” is equally just about to “appear”. Remember the saying “when the student is ready the teacher will appear”? This is what your question-thinking forum is about.   Your questions signify the fact that you haven’t yet established yourself as a genuine life-enthusiast seeking for absolute fulfilment. In other words, your personal management system, if any, is not effective enough to allow you to feel truly present in the natural process of living life, here on Earth. Your way of life right now lacks in the ability to switch-on or enable the natural senses of fulfilment, within. Simply stated, your journey of life hasn’t take-off, in earnest, and the only missing link for you is a Personal Strategic Plan.   Here's what you stand to gain by introducing a structured life through the tool of a personal strategic plan: i. Personal organisation for effective living and fulfilment, managed based on your purpose, mission, and vision. ii. Effective and efficient resource utilisation i.e., your time, efforts, and money, matches with your purpose, mission, and vision; what matters most. iii. Personal productivity, advancement, inspiration, and fulfilment.   Interesting? Interested? Listen to the podcast to gain more insight on the power of a personal strategic plan, so you can begin sooner than later to get your journey of life truly in motion, in the right direction. You obviously want to feel your presence and control of your life, or don’t you?
Once upon a time, many decades ago, human beings lived in geographically isolated patches of settlements across the globe, which made it hard I believe for humans to truly understand the wider scope of the human species, to an extent humanity could create some real strong bonding, worldwide. Overtime though, when the desire to enhance the quality of life set-in, several of the documented early explorers such as Christopher Columbus, Marco Polo, Vasco da Gama, and others, ventured into uncharted waters to discover the world. Amongst the very early explorers, we learn that they were on a mission to seek for new trade routes reaching out to faraway places, and in addition they were also eager to find valuable minerals, of which top in the list were gold and silver. Since these early days we have had other fundamental human life changes such as the agricultural, industrial, technology etc., revolutions that overtime hugely modified the order of the world, in a generally more supportive and life-enhancing way.   Now, the key lesson to learn here, for someone looking to inject a sense of growth and advancement in their life, is that all the supportive and life-enhancing outcomes from past initiatives, were anchored on three key things:   i. Firstly, there needed to be a desire to change the prevailing setting or situation of human life to one that is better or more fulfilling. What this means is that the change makers had to experience some burning desire and feel self-driven to seek for solutions to enhance life. The source of the burning desire and self-drive emanates from a sharp sense of purpose, which essentially is the key instigator in any venture of advancement. Put in other words, without a tight fit to your purpose anchor you can never activate that latent ability within to be proactive.   ii. Secondly, the change makers must have formulated a clear picture in their minds of an advanced and better life for society, portraying all the ingredients, missing links etc., needed to afford society a fulfilling experience of life. That clear picture in the mind represents a vision for a better future and was the main compelling factor that caused the different explorers to make the specific journeys, and end at distinct destinations. A clear vision serves to provide a perfect direction to the intended destiny.   iii. Thirdly, and lastly, and perhaps more importantly, the burning desire and self-drive power of purpose needed to be utilized to transform the visionary picture into reality. That means action is required to literary transform what thoughts for a better life exist in the mind, into tangible products or other forms of real outcomes. The very steps taken to act and create the products and outcomes, which represent that desired or portrayed in the mind, is exactly what the anchor of mission is.   So, you can see then that of the three anchor points, being purpose, vision, and mission, which are all vital to ensure organisation and stability in your life, the latter, that is mission, is the most critical when it comes to creating real results. Interesting? Do you want to know more? Please listen to the podcast to get more insight and in-depth understanding on how you can make a tight grip on the foundation of mission, for a fulfilling life experience.
How far back can you recall memories of years gone by, relative to human lifestyles? I remember some decades ago when I first made contact with a radio set, and later got hooked as I discovered it to be a source of an endless supply of some life-changing broadcasts. Before then it was just not possible to get any latest news about what goes on, not only in the world, but inside my own country. Equally, getting to know about any other useful and valuable lessons or opportunities to improve life was beyond most until radio came to make a huge difference. Perhaps most significantly was the fact that radio brought so much entertainment through readily available music, transmitting over distances, and this helped lighten the spirit of many people even in the remotest of areas where the radio signals were able to reach. Now, it was not only the advent of radio that ushered in some great changes to human lifestyles, but there were many more other significant inventions before and after radio, such as automobiles, airplanes, television, telephones, farming implements, health and medical appliances and products etc. etc., and all designed to create some good feel in the lives of people.   It’s hugely important to notice and truly understand that all these inventions, many of which you use daily, and some you cannot do without, had their human origin from a common approach. The latter refers to a simple process of letting your imagination capture a moment in the future, of the kind of life you want, for you and for others, to experience in a way that is greatly enjoyable and fulfilling. This act of pinning your imagination on the kind of future you desire, and seeing yourself actively involved, as if it’s real, is what is termed envisioning, while the picture you see of you engaging happily and productively, in a joyous and fulfilling way represent the actual vision. The key function of the foundation of vision is to draw you toward itself, like a magnet. When this happens, it means all your focus and resources become channelled in the direction of that vision, and what remains would be for you to be proactive in getting things done.   Do you have any idea or picture of the future you desire? Is there a way you would like to see yourself take part in life other than you’re doing now? Perhaps you feel that indeed, like all others who have made many strides, the best is yet to come for you too. If so, then this is the right episode for you to shift your focus from any other thing but that picture of the future you desire. Don’t waste any more time then, dive into the podcast to learn more about the value of having a personal vison in life.
If dragging yourself out of bed each morning to engage in life is more the norm for you then it’s time to make irrelevant the restraining forces. Surely, you must know about or have listened on radio, watched on television, or maybe even follow, on social media, a brand of excitedly happy and clearly self-driven people, who can’t seem to wait for another daybreak to engage their life roles, which they consistently and genuinely enjoy. Have you ever gotten to think about why most establishments or organisations insist on putting in place an operational plan or strategic plan, or any other form of a structured system of management and governance? You have also probably become aware that in modern times different nations have, in addition to their medium-term national development plans aimed at driving the economy, have also added a national vision plan to provide a clear picture of the future desired, and as well the direction of intent. Well, it may all sound administrative and perhaps some cultural or customary norm in the running of establishments or organisations, and of no significant value to you as an individual, given you have your own views, specific interests, preferences, and desires etc. That said, the adoption of a structured system of management has as its greatest value the ability to equitably distribute resources and clearly link them to critical needs areas, for maximum impact. This, essentially, representing a great and effective sense of organisation, which no doubt is well-set for success, if driven by equally well-organised individuals. Now, you may be wondering why I’m going on and on about structured systems, plans and governance. Well, I am just looking to impress upon you the idea that any entity, such as an organisation, or more importantly, yourself as an individual running and managing your life, can benefit greatly from adopting this approach of a structured system. It’s about a question I have always had about humans, why although we want to have a long-lasting and memorable life experience, we however never see the need to create what I call a plan of existence, essentially a life plan. It is common knowledge that we each have been allocated a moment of existence in life, and we could use it better if we have a plan of existence……the same way that if you want to do well in business, you develop a business plan, and most people do this all the time…so why not do the same with your life? Isn’t that more important? Well, I developed my own, and found it absolutely awesome, and it’s all anchored on the following three pillars that serves to reinforce the foundation to your personal management structure:   1. Purpose - acts as a natural compass and offers guidance to daily success and fulfilment in life! 2. Vision - provides a compelling picture of the future you desire to live and experience! 3. Mission - paves a clear and direct roadway to the future you desire!   These three personal strategic foundations form your critical anchor points to establish a well-organized and stable life, that’ll yield for you a lasting and fulfilling sense of effective living.   Interesting? Interested? Listen to the podcast to get some more insight on how to get your life set for a greatly inspired human experience and a long-term sense of feeling good, so you can kick-out any depressing thoughts of despair and hopelessness.
You know, my faith in education is beyond conviction, and this is largely a result of my own development through the school system, professional training, and ultimately self-education on personal development. Reflecting on your own school days you may remember this kid who was in your class, and doing so bad in almost all class works, like reading, writing, numbers etc., and it didn’t look like there was any future going forward along the path of education. This is a scenario that could so easily fit my situation during my earlier days, but I managed to pull through this haze of uncertainty in my educational path. I later discovered that each time a situation or a need arose, and calling for my response, there’s always only one effective way to manage, and that is the way of seeking first to understand the nature of the situation or need at hand and choosing to learn from the experiences of others, and then act based on knowledge acquired to create solutions. Once I got to that level where my reading skills improved, I began to rely heavily on written text i.e. written notes at learning centres, but most importantly from books, to transform and upgrade my mental system. This approach gave me a confidence boost, as I began to notice that by opening up and embracing the learning process, to seek for solutions, there’s always some progress in terms of creating new and better outcomes in life. So, I made this a key foundation in my life, which allowed me to stay on course throughout my professional development, which saw me attain a university first degree, followed by a masters and doctorate degree in earth sciences. Interestingly, for the latter two programmes I picked on specialities that I had little background on but through learning from books, articles, and as well connecting with other experienced professionals in the field, I was able to succeed in my studies. In a nutshell, this is where all my conviction on the learning process emanated from, and I believe it’s a universal principle available to all to master and make the most out of life.   If you hold any strong desire to see your life improve in leaps and bounds, so you can get to where you really want to be, there’s only one option for you: • Expose yourself to more learning ways!
