This episode is a bit different to the usual episodes I put out.
Today I talk about the fact that I am feeling a bit burnt out and I need to heed my own advice.
I apologize in advance this one is a bit rambly and I go off on a couple of tangents but the upshot is I need to take a step back and look after myself...the things I talk about in pretty much every episode :)

In this episode, we explored how boundaries can be our secret weapon in navigating midlife and living our best lives. Here are three key takeaways :
1️⃣ Clarity: Boundaries provide clear guidance on what we are comfortable with and what is a no-go. When we have well-defined boundaries, saying no becomes a breeze, allowing us to prioritize our needs and well-being.
2️⃣ Empowerment: Setting boundaries is an act of self-love and respect. It sends a powerful message, not only to others but also to ourselves, that we value our own limits. With this empowerment, we can politely decline requests or opportunities that don't align with our best interests.
3️⃣ Improved Relationships: Boundaries are relationship boosters. When we communicate our boundaries with openness and respect, we foster deeper and more meaningful connections with others. This leads to a more fulfilling midlife journey.
If you're interested in learning more about the power of boundaries in midlife, tune into this episode to find out more.

a social media post With the following topic……… provide 3-5 tips/points in a list format.
Today, we're tackling a topic that hits home for so many of us: shifting from perfectionism to progress.
Trust me, I've been there too, and it can really hold us back from living our best lives. In this episode, we'll explore how we can embrace imperfection and start taking action toward our goals.
Perfectionism is a sneaky devil that tricks us into thinking we're not good enough. It sets impossible standards and leaves us feeling inadequate. But here's the truth: perfection is just an illusion. It's time to shift our focus to progress.
To make this shift, we need to change our mindset. Cultivating a growth mindset and letting go of the idea that perfection equals success. Instead, we should embrace the belief that progress, no matter how small, is the real key to personal growth.
Every step forward counts! Another important tool in our progress journey is self-compassion. It's all about offering ourselves love and understanding, just like we would to a dear friend. And hey, if you want more on this topic, check out Sharron's previous episode on self-compassion.
But here's the kicker: taking action is absolutely crucial. We often get caught up in planning and preparing, waiting for the perfect moment to start. Well, spoiler alert – there's never a perfect moment! The time to start is now, even if you don't feel ready.
Taking action breeds momentum and leads to progress. And let's not forget the power of community. Surrounding ourselves with like-minded individuals who understand the importance of progress over perfection can make all the difference. Find your tribe and share your goals, struggles, and victories with them.
Remember, perfectionism may have been part of your past, but progress is the key to your future. Embrace imperfection, take action, and keep shining your beautiful light.

In the latest episode, "Exploring the Connection Between Clutter and Stress," we dive deep into the impact clutter has on our mental well-being. Here are three key takeaways from the episode:
1️⃣ Start Small, Make Progress: Decluttering can be overwhelming, but taking small steps consistently can lead to significant progress. Set realistic goals, whether it's decluttering one room per week or one area per day. Spending just 5 or 10 minutes per day decluttering can make a big difference.
2️⃣ Declutter Visible Surfaces First: Begin with the areas that impact your daily life the most. Clearing visible surfaces like dressing tables or bedside tables can provide quick wins and create a sense of peace in your environment. Remember, every little bit counts!
3️⃣ Break the Cycle of Clutter and Stress: Creating an organized and peaceful space is not only aesthetically pleasing; it also reduces stress levels and improves overall well-being. Take breaks during the decluttering process, practice mindfulness or meditation, seek support from friends and family, and be kind to yourself. Breaking the cycle is possible!
If you're ready to tackle clutter and reclaim your peace of mind, make sure to tune in to the Embracing Midlife podcast episode you can listen to the full episode on your favourite podcast app.
Thank you again for listening. Stay tuned for Season 4, where I will continue exploring topics that matter most to those embracing midlife! 🌟

Stress is an inevitable part of life, but it doesn't have to
control your life.
While traditional stress-relieving methods like exercise and
meditation are very effective, sometimes you may need to mix things up or think
outside the square to find what works best for you.
Today we discuss some less common strategies for managing stress:
1) Laughter Yoga
2) Colouring in
3) Aromatherapy
4) Forrest bathing/Nature Therapy
5) EFT (Emotional Freedom techniques)
6) Hypnosis
7) Journaling
