Description

Welcome to So This is Love, a podcast about love, the loss of love, heartbreak and the meeting of self. We share stories on how the relationships we once had teach us about who we are and define who we become. And maybe through these stories, we can answer that age old question; is it better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all?

Welcome to Season 2! In this episode, Wanja meets George and despite caution from her friends, falls head over heels in that all-too-familiar, typical, teenage romance kind of way. Grace and Will - S3 | E2

Grace and Will - S3 | E2

2024-02-1559:102

As children, we idolize our parents often holding them to impossible standards. As little girls, this admiration is magnified towards our fathers, our first ‘supermen’’. That is until we grow up. Until innocence gives way to awareness and we slowly realize that our parents are not superheroes. Not only that,  but that they are deeply flawed; unsure, anxious and not always right. This runs especially true for Grace whose father’s unfortunate addiction finds her and her family in a constant state of dire straits. Listen to hear how Grace, who so much loves her father, finds her drive to keep her family alive, together and afloat. Oh hun, so many hugs for you 💔 addiction affects family members more than the addicted person and it sucks when you don't know how to help or when you realise things may never get better 💔

I love you, Jules, so much. I identify with you so much on many things. especially singlehood and loneliness and so many other things. and then you go ahead and bring this conversation, which I love and honour so much. Sending Jay, lots of love and light. May he know that he is not alone. Feel validated, and seen, and honoured.

I dnt think you can compare friendships with romantic relationships. With romantic relationships there is another level of connection and intimacy especially when you get physical with someone. When you break up with someone it definitely hurts differently. My two cents. I also think Alison invests so much in friendships which is not necessarily a bad thing but I think with age she will realise that with some friendships you just move on and it's harder to make friends. I have noted from 30 and mostly from 35 your genuine friendships decline.
