The devil has been keeping us subdued and oppressed for centuries of time. The Spirit of Religion is profoundly prevalent in churches all over the world. We cannot continue to let this evil spirit rule and reign. Many of us come from small, impossible beginnings. We have to fight through so much trauma and drama to get to a good place - and in that fight we learn so much about ourselves and about other people that shapes us and helps us move past the hurt and pain. And through all of that, we begin to realize that God was with us. He is with us now, and He will never leave us. We have been going through a massive awakening for the past decade, and God has been revealing things to us that have shocked us to the very core of our being. The heart is where we hide our deepest pain and our darkest sins. We keep these things hidden so no one else can see them, and we think that because it's hidden there, that it won't hurt anyone else. But that isn't true. When we hold onto these things, it actually causes more harm than good. You not only hurt yourself, but you hurt the ones you love, too. If you are holding onto anger, it is going to come out. It's important to guard your heart just as scripture says, because everything you do flows from it. The enemy constantly tries to make us feel shame for things we have done in the past. He tells us that God could never love someone that has sinned, and we wallow in self-pity and condemnation of our past endeavors. And the devil uses this to his advantage in many different ways to harm us - to harm our families, our relationships, and so much more. The Lord's heart is tender and loving, and He is always calling us to draw closer to Him. His love is a love like no other. It carries forgiveness, grace, and mercy. The church has been struggling for a long time because we have allowed the enemy into this sacred place. God has been preparing us - He has been speaking through His prophets that He is going to reveal all the evil deeds our enemy has been doing.
