I loved the 2000 rom com it’s based on which is about an angsty man with a “poor understanding of women” who recounts his most painful breakups seeking to find a reason for his failed romances. Guys…shit has just not been working out for me romantically, I have been doing my fair share of exing and being exed…so…it’s time to do a little user research. I interviewed by first boyfriend desperately seeking a little wisdom around what’s working and not working and if all the people ive dated in my life should maybe start a support group.

We’re friends right? So…would you mind if I asked you something slightly personal? Have you ever felt like the world is leaving you behind? That’s one of the questions being asked by BROKENWORZ: an experimental sound / audio installation by Taisuke Yamada. For this episode, I had a chat with the artist alongside the show’s curator, Jun Mabuchi, to muse on the way modern life bends toward connection & disconnection. Brokenworz is currently up at mhPROJECT space, and you can see it until September 30th, when it will culminate in a final performance with Nava Dunkelman, percussionist.
