Meet our french guest Clarisse Le Guernic 55, founder of Arcade, living in Shanghai since 2015, started studying Chinese at 12 years old.About Clarisse Clarisse is from France and arrived in Shanghai in 2015. Since then, she has been traveling in almost all the Chinese provinces, obtained a Master Degree in tourism management in Ningbo University and worked in 3 travel companies. This time, Meet Expat Entrepreneurs in China brings you the astounding story of Paul Dezio, a unique artist who found it’s place in Shanghai among Chinese people’s heart. As cofounder of Urban Art United (UAU), he started in 2017, painting in 1994 and quickly became known as a graffiti and street artist in Paris before moving to China in 2006. Upon arriving in China, he witnessed the birth of the local street art movement and became involved quite early in helping it grow. In 2017, with over 10 years experience in China working with local and international brands, he teamed up to create Urban Art United.About UAU:Art agency specialized in the procurement, curation and creation of urban art interventions in China be it murals, group shows, sculptures, new media installations, … UAU has worked with many brands in China, bringing art into their projects. For instance, working on the 1000 Trees development project designed by Thomas Heatherwick, where they curated and managed 17 international artists to hand paint a 4000 sqm mural. Paul worked with Kohler to create a bespoke art show in their three-story Shanghai showroom with 12 art installations, as well as the conception of the Color4Smile project, gathering 54 artists to custom design face masks for an online and offline show at the pedestrian East Nanjing Rd.

In addition, he is also an associate professor at the University of Montpellier in France. In 2018, Alejo came to Shanghai. As a lawyer, he was keenly aware that many overseas enterprises and entrepreneurs would always be troubled by legal problems when expanding business in China. Since he possessed rich legal and consulting experience, he established Parral Consulting to help Latin American and Chinese companies deal with international trade by providing customized solutions. Furthermore, as president of the Argentinian Chamber of Commerce in China, Parral Consulting has organized business dinners with Argentinian enterprises to discuss the challenges that COVID-19 would bring to organizations in China.
