Description

Having left the Mormon religion and moving from America to Sweden with 4 kids and their mommy. There are very deep problems that religion can give to people if they’re not ready for it and I certainly was not ready for it. I worked in Film and Theater before becoming an arborist. I found arboriculture while attending film school in Phoenix Arizona. I felt god wanted me to abandon my film dreams to follow his plan perfectly and god would make my life far better than I could make it myself. Now that god doesn’t exist to me I have some opinions. This all might help you better interact with me.

Episode 9 (parenting)

Me grappling with the very real work of parenting. It influences our life choices so deeply. Trying to get through the shit to get to clarity on how to move forward in so much uncertainty.
I really don’t want to share this but I will. I don’t know what else to do these days when I see complete injustice and racism in America. All I can do is scream about it. My thoughts are scattered. My heart is broken. My world is upside down. I am with the victims of these terrible police shootings. It has to stop. I hate this world for sucking so bad. But I need to find those slivers of hope and love to survive it. A lot of my shit here is flawed on the details from history class but a lot of what I’m trying to cope with is the utter bewilderment of the lies and present day problems not being addressed or improved.
Lots of shit. Just listen at your own risk
Have you ever wondered why you pay so much tax in America and get nothing for it? Shouldn’t that money benefit you as the payer just as much as the people on welfare? Would it make you happier to know that at least your taxes are coming back to you to reduce the stress of an unpredictable future? Well I would too. That’s why I never worked any harder to build a business in America past just a mom and pop size. It wasn’t worth it to rise up the ranks in society because it only got worse the harder your worked. My heart goes out to all struggling middle class America that work so hard to keep their homes and businesses and jobs alive and secure. Will America ever socialize basic needs? I hope so.
Just madness. Crazier than fiction.
No matter how ridiculous the joining of me and Lindsy was it’s still full of pain and doesn’t make it any easier. We’ve been in a slow steady divorce process for the last 3 years. Part of moving to Sweden is living in a country that is very supportive of children and when their parents grow apart. It’s extremely painful to talk about it but it’s the hard work it takes to handle it well. Thank you for your support and love.
Yeah so this is confusing, but filling your canteen refers to how guys would try and make out with as many girls as they could before leaving on their Mormon sales trips (missions). The idea is that you would have girls to think about while you were forbidden to hardly look at them for 2 years unless it had to do with selling the Mormon religion. It’s very toxic and usually the girls would carry the brunt of this because the boys were justified in breaking up because god had a mission for them.

Episode 2 (elitism)

Fun to have you back! I’m so excited to be talking about one of the funniest sub culture aspects of Mormonism. Elitism. Not only is it funny it can also effectively lock people into a lifetime of carrot stick labor for an organization not benefiting them nearly enough and then shame them for thinking they are entitled to benefits for all they are putting into the system. Here we go
Have you ever wondered who the hell is this guy and what does he have to say about his life and the world as he sees it? Hang on and I’ll get to the goods as quickly as I can. Why move away from the greatest country on earth? Why talk about a religion you’ve left. Why not leave it alone? The real question is WHY leave it alone?
