Persistence – Staying in the Story When It’s HardLet’s talk about the kind of strength that doesn’t always look shiny or Instagram-worthy… the kind of strength that whispers, “I’m not giving up.”That’s persistence. And it’s holy.In Dick Schwartz’s 5 P’s of Self, persistence is that steady, Spirit-rooted commitment to keep going—not because you have to prove something, but because the Creator is still writing your story. In Creator-based® Coaching, we don’t push or pressure. But we do press on. With faith. With love. With courage that sometimes shows up looking like tears and tiny steps forward.Persistence means staying in the story even when it’s hard. Especially when it’s hard. You may not feel like a warrior, but if you’ve ever kept showing up to your healing, to your faith, to your family, when everything inside of you wanted to quit—you’re already living it.Let’s be honest: the enemy would love nothing more than for you to throw in the towel. But the Creator? He’s placed something eternal in you. That’s why your spirit keeps whispering, “There’s more.” And that whisper is worth listening to.In Luke 18, Jesus tells a story about a widow who kept asking a judge for justice. She didn’t give up. And eventually, the judge relented—not because he cared, but because her persistence wore him down. Jesus tells us this story not to make us feel annoying when we pray—but to remind us that God is not like that judge. He loves to respond to the cries of His daughters. But He also honors the heart that keeps coming back, no matter how long it takes.Creator-based® Coaching encourages women to be lovingly persistent with their own parts. When shame pops up for the 100th time, we don’t slam the door—we get curious. When a pattern resurfaces, we don’t give up—we lead that part back to truth.Persistence isn’t a grind. It’s a gentle, Spirit-fueled decision to keep walking. Even when you don’t feel brave. Even when you’ve stumbled. Even when you’re tired. And here’s the truth I want you to hold close today: God is more committed to your healing than you are. So if He hasn’t given up on you—and He never, ever will—you don’t have to give up either.Keep going, beloved. You’re not just surviving. You’re growing into something sacred.

Patience – Trusting the Pace of HeavenOkay friend, let’s talk about one of the hardest and holiest parts of healing: waiting.I don’t know about you, but I used to think if I wasn’t “getting there” fast enough—spiritually, emotionally, physically—I must be doing something wrong. And girlfriend, let me tell you... that lie ran deep. But here’s what the Creator-based® Way has shown me: Patience isn’t punishment. It’s a partnership with our Creator. It’s not about sitting still with clenched fists, begging for a breakthrough. It’s about surrendering to God’s perfect pace, learning to rest, and willingly learning in the process. Patience is actually one of the sweetest gifts from God. It’s not about waiting perfectly—it’s about trusting deeply.Dick Schwartz names patience as one of the 5 P’s of Self, and there’s a reason it’s right at the center. Patience is what gives our inner world the space to breathe. It’s what lets our tender parts—the ones that feel unworthy, scared, or “too much”—begin to trust us. They don’t want to be rushed. They want to be seen, held and heard.Creator-based® Coaching teaches women that healing isn't linear and doesn't come from hustling. It comes from receiving—receiving God’s grace, His timeline, and the truth that you are not behind. It also involves owning and honoring the truth that you are a work in progress, a person who is becoming.Take Sarah from the Bible—for decades she waited for the promise of Isaac. I’m sure she felt forgotten. Maybe even ashamed. But God's promise didn’t arrive late; it arrived right on time. And when it did, it carried so much joy, it made her laugh out loud. That’s what divine timing does—it fills your heart with joy and relief because it comes after you’ve grown deep roots of trust. In The Creator-based® Way, we are encouraged to create this kind of patience with every part of us. When that anxious voice says, “You should be over this by now,” we respond with compassion: “It’s okay, love. We’re still healing. God’s not in a rush, and neither are we.”Patience says, “I’m okay even while things are still messy.” It’s that gentle reminder from the Spirit that the Lord never rushes your healing. He doesn’t roll His eyes at you. He sees every part of you—your fear, your self-doubt, your trying—and He responds with the loving compassion of a tender Parent.Patience teaches you how to wait with hope. It creates space to hear the Spirit, to gently coach your parts back into peace, and to believe that something beautiful is growing—even if you can’t see it yet.And here’s what I’ve learned: You’re not failing. You’re unfolding. Our Creator is loving and smiling at every step you take.So today, be gentle with your becoming. Trust the pace of heaven. God isn’t just working on your future—He’s working in you, right now, with tender, unwavering, supporting love. You’re not late. You’re loved."You’re not failing. You’re unfolding.Trust the pace of Heaven.”– Creator-based® Coaching
Monday Morning InspirationFaith-Fueled. Creator-Led.“My life looks fine… so why do I still feel so overwhelmed?”“I want to feel close to God again.”“I want to take care of myself, but I feel guilty.”Sound familiar, sweet friend? You’re not alone. Even as a full-time Creator-based® life coach, I still meet those thoughts in the quiet corners of my heart. Sometimes even louder now—because I’ve chosen to hold myself to a higher standard. (Unreasonably high some days—working on that one.)Here’s what I’ve noticed:The adversary loves to show up with a little tool I call the “should stick.”You should know better. You should be better. You should take care of everyone. You shouldn’t lose your temper. You shouldn’t eat that, say that, buy that. Can we pause and breathe together? Here’s something I want you to hear, deep in your bones:You now have permission to be human. We’re not here to be perfect beings. And we’re not here to be relentless doers. We are human beings, in the practice of becoming. Trying. Learning. Trusting. Loving. Re-centering. It’s a practice—not a perfect. This season tends to pick up speed. It’s easy to get swept away in the swirl. But now more than ever, it’s essential—not optional—to care for your soul.Human life is a divine practice. And every good practice needs three things:✨ An Instruction Manual✨ Nourishment✨ Supportive ConnectionThe Creator-based® Way brings us back to our Source—our Capital-C Creator. For me, that’s Jesus Christ. When I am centered in Him, my soul settles. I become confident, calm, creative, courageous, and connected. My choices become clearer. My heart feels lighter. But when I try to base my life only on me, I get fragmented and fearful. Can you relate? So let me gently ask you:How are you doing with consulting your Instruction Manual? Are your connections clear and bright?Because when we’re spiritually centered, overwhelm becomes easier to notice, easier to name, and easier to let go.Think of life like a merry-go-round. When you sit in the center, the ride is smooth. When you’re clinging to the edge, you feel like you’re about to fly off. Staying centered in your Creator brings steadiness to your spirit—even when life spins fast.Take time to find Him today. He’s always near. But we experience Him most when we’re still.Built into our day are sacred pauses: before we sleep, before we eat, before we connect with our loved ones. Take a breath before your next prayer. Let yourself drop into presence. That, my friend, is breath meditation. That is where peace lives. Now, about the guilt.Let’s flip the script. You are essential. You are needed. You are deeply loved. If you don’t care for your soul—spiritually and physically—the people who depend on you will feel the effects. What they won’t suffer from is you taking time to rest, to breathe, to fill your own cup.A long bath can calm your tone.A nourishing meal can lift your energy.A peaceful heart blesses every room it enters.Caring for yourself isn’t selfish. It’s sacred stewardship. The worth of your soul is great in the sight of God—and in the lives of those you love.So come be nourished with us.✨ Join Coach n Clear for a weekly soul tune-up.✨ Attend Mastermind and learn to pursue your desires in a Creator-based® way.✨ Celebrate Jubilee and gather joyfully with women walking your same path.Need help choosing where to begin?Let’s talk. Are you tired? I get that kind of tired that I just can't shake sometimes.  You know, the kind of tired that's hard to overcome with sleep, shopping, friends or television?  That's why Sandra Dalton shares her take on rest. Sacred Rest comes in different ways.  Above, you can see her wheel of rest.  Creativity is in there.  Allowing time to create something - physical, spiritual or social, creating in a way that you lose track of time and move into a flow state, is very restful.  This is where creativity becomes restoration for the soul.  Even if it is a “tiring” activity, you will come away rested.  Try it- make a flower bed, paint a picture, sing to someone, write your feelings about an important topic, get swept away in music…you will see that creativity brings a feeling of rest that you can't get from sleep.  It's rejuvenation!Creator-Based® Challenge: The 10-Minute Creative PauseConsider taking 10 minutes today to engage in a form of creativity- doodling, free-writing, humming a tune, arranging objects in a pleasing way, or even playing with color. The key is to let it be free from judgment or outcome. Notice how you feel before, during, and after. Does your mind feel clearer? Your heart lighter? Your energy more balanced?Growth and rest are not opposites; they are partners. Creativity allows you to expand while also offering a place to breathe. Embrace the creative pause as a way to both elevate and restore your soul.  Creative is the 4th C in the 9-C life for a reason!
The promised template for this podcast can be found here: https://bit.ly/TheWhyTemplateCuriosity It was a wild week, wasn't it?  I, for one, am ready for a fresh start.  The question is, what do I want this week to look like?  I can choose any one of the '9 C’s’—curious, calm, compassionate, clear, creative, courageous, confident, or choice. They are all qualities that ground and center me. The promised template for this podcast can be found here: https://bit.ly/TheWhyTemplateCuriosity  I especially love the idea of curiosity, though, and it creates the week I yearn for. For me, curiosity cures a multitude of evils.   When I judge my neighbor, I can instead choose curiosity about what kind of day they’ve had and feel more compassionate towards them.  When I judge myself, I can alleviate self-pity or discouragement by wondering what part of me was protecting or defending myself that I chose the regretful actions I just carried out.  I can get curious about what’s going on inside. When I’m having a day where everyone just plain seems stupid (it’s not about ya’ll at all, it’s all about me) I can entertain myself out of that bad mood with curiosity.  Telling funny stories is one of my favorite pastimes. The bottom line is that curiosity is my 1st line of defense against judgment, and judging others never brings me happiness. There are many other benefits of curiosity. Willingly opening your mind to put your own opinion in the background while exploring another’s perspective can help you feel less stressed and anxious and even foster a sense of compassion or understanding.  That’ll bring your blood pressure down. Physically, curiosity keeps your brain active and reduces cognitive decline as we age.  Remarkably, there is a correlation between being curious and feeling more positive. (https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1207/s15327752jpa8203_05). Seth Godin(https://www.wholegraindigital.com/blog/curiosity-is-the-key-to-solving-problems/ )even says it’s the key to solving problems.  He suggests trying to see more gray than black and white by engaging your curiosity skills. Curiosity brings growth. Curiosity brings delight. Curiosity can bring forgiveness. There’s a reason curiosity is part of a centered self.   So this week, if you find yourself feeling extra judgy or off-center, pause, breathe, and choose curiosity instead. See where it takes you—it might just surprise you. You’ll see the difference. All my love, Beth
Imagine a person moving through life with subtle, strong qualities that emanate from deep within their very being.  You feel more confident, calm, clear, courageous, creative, and even curious when you are near them.  You love being around that person.  That’s you, friend.  You are that person. (No eye rolling aloud, and stop arguing with me!)Within you- are all of those qualities.  Now, they are seldom all present at once, but they are definitely in there.  As you continue to gently press forward in hope and faith, your C’s become more and more pronounced.  You find yourself more appreciative and loving.  Soon, the 7th C of your centered self is more and more present.  That C is Compassion.Y’all know it’s less than 50 days until tax day, right?  Boy, I do! Oh. My.Gosh! Adrenaline rush! Filing taxes has long been a stressful event for me.  It’s one of those thoughts I continue to work on.  This year, we had flu and a late start on taxes, and now I feel under the gun.  Less than 50 days! And so much to do!Ya see, between the wedding, the renovation, and just generally enjoying life, my financial transactions were recorded but not categorized as they needed to be.  It’s been a busy year, and I had all those things to reconcile.  Once I began recovery from the flu, I decided that couch time would be perfect to go through all the transactions and put things in order.  (Spoiler alert: Don’t do hard things in recovery- lesson learned.)Come with me on my transaction journey. My living room is full of wadded-up blankets; there are tissues and leftover food plates on the coffee table.  The TV has an inane comedy quietly playing in the background.  My laptop is ready to go. I open it and begin. The thought comes, “You really need to be better at this.”  As I continued figuring out what I paid for and why, the thought escalated, “You’re inept in business.”  Soon, all bets were off, and my inner critic had taken the wheel and was engaging in a full tirade against my personal worth and ability.  Ouch!Fortunately, there is mercy within my world.  I hope you find it in yours as well.  My centered self gently offered a tiny glimmer of compassion.  A candlelight, but light none the less.  It was enough light to recognize what was happening in that tirade of internal darkness.  I fanned that little light as best I could.  Quietly, and with love, I began.“Sweetie- you are doing your very best.  Remember B- is good enough.”“You have power within you to accomplish your purpose.”“You’re good at this.”“You are important and loved.”“You are doing God’s work.  It’s just taxes.”“Ouch! This hurts. Let’s take care of you.”My little candlelight of compassion began to swell with each centered statement, extending out to that irate inner critic. Soon, I was giggling at myself.  What a drama queen! Here’s what I learned. Whether your struggle is taxes, relationships, pain, grief, or purpose, the same truth applies...It’s only a thought, and a thought can be changed.Light overcomes darkness every time.Whether we see it or not, we are loved and supported on our journey.  It just is.God has blessed us with many superpowers.  Among them is loving self-compassion.Self coaching works!Loving self-compassion is an incredible superpower.  Try fanning that little flame for yourself! All my love, BethQuestions? Happy January! Are you longing for the cozy, slow vacation life of the holidays yet? Now that we are full swing into 2025, and vacation is simply a memory, the idea of living a "faith-fueled, creator-led" life could sound like a happy illusion. I know the to-do list is long, and the time seems short. We’re all a little swamped.  But consider this: What if the secret to creating balance and fulfilling your purpose isn’t about doing more but doing less and expecting more?  You know, I promised that we would learn more about the power of mindfulness this quarter, and leaning into the principles of Creation in this backward law will do just that. In this 9-part series, we’ll explore what I like to call our ‘9C Life.’ Dick Schwartz and his IFS System inspired me.  Dr. Schwartz organized nine aspects of the authentic self.  They are Calmness, Clarity, Curiosity, Compassion, Confidence, Courage, Creativity, Connectedness, and Choice.  Using these nine principles in the Creator-based® Way, we will bring energy up this winter and accomplish your goals in these long, dark days of snow and ice.  Trust me, this stuff is powerful.  The Creator-Based® Way: The Power of Five Principles Before we dive into the *9Cs*, it’s important to understand the foundation upon which we’ll build this series. The Creator-Based® Way is a holistic approach to living that centers around five core principles that allow us to live with purpose, presence, and power.  Remember these?  You are the creator of your life experience.  You have within you light and truth, all the power you need to grow and progress.  Happiness is most likely to be achieved when founded on faith, compassion, mindfulness, and hope. We are different by design.  And, of course…Change is a gift.  With these principles in mind, let’s look at the first ‘C’ in our ‘9C Life’ series—Calmness.  How can you be calm when your to-do list feels bottomless? When there are bills to pay? Things to watch or keep up with? Cars to fix and snow to shovel?  Ah, my friend, no worries. Pause and enjoy a long, deep breath. Okay, maybe this one is short and in your chest, but try a second deep breath. It's better, right?  Okay, now, the third breath is long and deep with a good, long exhale.  That calm you just created is a faith-fueled gift! Calmness allows us to tap into our inner wisdom, think clearly, and make choices aligned with our chosen goals and purpose.  At first glance, calmness may seem like the opposite of productivity. After all, don’t we need to hustle, act quickly, and achieve results to be successful? It’s a common falsehood that busyness =  productivity. The ‘backward law’ of mindfulness suggests something different: Do less. Expect more. It’s true.  When you slow down and choose to be more present, you accomplish more because you can see all of those little things you would typically skim by.  Slowing down makes you more productive. We create more space for clarity, creativity, and meaningful action. It’s in the stillness between our breaths we often find the answers and the solutions we’ve been seeking.  We become more focused, intentional, and present- and y’all, it’s wild when you deliberately slow your walk, your hand movement, or your breathing.  You make fewer mistakes, leave space for our Creator to Communicate with you, and become substantially more effective in your life. Besides the truth of a Faith-fueled, Creator-led life, here’s why this works: When we are constantly rushing or running on autopilot, our minds are scattered, and our energy is fragmented. We may appear productive, but it’s all on the surface. Our thoughts lack depth and connection. Conversely, when we slowly and deliberately approach life with calmness and mindfulness, we create space for deeper thinking and clearer decision-making, and remarkably, by slowing down, our productivity increases.  It is an act of faith to Do Less and Expect More- and that faith is richly rewarded. All my love, :) Beth
"The 3 Gifts of Christmas: A Holiday Surprise You’ll Want to Unwrap" Merry Christmas- see you in the New Year!
Join us for Jaycine's Jumpstart Class, "Year End Review, Whole New You!" Saturday, Dec 14 at 9 am CST on Zoom- Sign up here Thank you.  Two tiny, powerful words that, when combined, heal wounds, open doors, and create hope. Thank you for who you are. What you bring to this world is vitally important. I am humbled and grateful to be a part of the world you inhabit. It has been said that you are never happier than you are grateful. That’s true.   Gratitude is a superpower.   It is a stepping stone to joy. So, how does that apply to today? Well, friend,  what would you think of trying a little experiment with me this week?   Every time you take a drink of water or whatever it is you love to drink, have a silent thank you moment with our Creator. Could you do that for the next few days in preparation for Thanksgiving?  It’s a busy time of year, I know.  Pausing to be grateful will give you that added peace and strength you’ve sought.   (It’s a backward law, but slowing down helps us get more done! An added perk for this overflowing season.) Try it- Call it a Gratitude Sip. We can’t live without water. We can’t live well without gratitude. Supercharge your life this week- try the Gratitude Sip. All my love, Beth

Happy Veterans Day! I am so grateful for all of those who have and will continue to protect and serve our country. Thank You! As promised, today we will discuss the last 5 Healing Factors you can use to create more happiness and health in your life.. They are: releasing suppressed emotions, changing your diet, herbs & supplements, having strong reasons for living increasing social support. That’s a lot, so we’ll focus primarily on the emotional aspects. Another time, we can talk about diet, supplements, and herbs. As a certified nutritional herbalist, those are sweet topics for me. I know the wonders that right living can do. For now, let’s work on emotions and connection. That’s what CMH Coaching is all about. “When you touch a hot stove accidentally, your body remembers the pain the next time you see a stove. You stay away from the stove instinctively for fear of burning yourself. Emotional pain works the same way. Your mind and body remember the emotional pain you felt in a particular moment in your past, and that memory is filed away - sometimes buried - for your own protection. It’s a useful self-defense mechanism because it helps us to function. However, scientists have shown that suppressing emotions can suppress the immune system, which contributes to disease and hampers the body’s ability to heal.” To keep our health, emotions must be released. They are meant to pass through our bodies as the energies they are. are. If they get stuck, we get stuck, and it’s a rough road to progress. Releasing emotions is liberating and can be joyous. We simply have to allow and accept what is. Regular practice with this awareness will create powerful shifts in your life. Your body is your best friend. She will “go to the mat” and fight to the finish for you. She only wants you to succeed. As such, she will send physical signals to inform you when your thoughts and emotions are out of whack. When you feel a tight shoulder, some digestive upset, or a headache coming on, pause and try the “Lean into Resistance Mini-Steps” to discern what your body is saying about your thoughts and subsequent emotions. Brain Fog is a common malady that often resolves with this emotional release practice. Connecting with your Creator as you begin your practice is a loving and grounding habit. Stop and let God know what you’re feeling and hope to do. It will supercharge your work. Then, ask for help in each of the “Lean into Resistance Mini Steps.” As you finish the steps, remember to express gratitude for the help you have been given. Gratitude is an incredible energy generator! We’ll be talking about more emotional release processes on the podcast today. Join us at the Creator-based® Coaching YouTube Channel, Vimeo, or your favorite Podcast Provider right here, and let’s feel better together!
Have you had a hard day? Well, you've come to the right place! Welcome to A Creator-based Life, the weekly podcast for CMH Coaching. We empower women of faith to create the lives they love- the lives they’ve always wanted. I’m here with Jaycine Bonnett, a business coach, Mom, Grandma, and avid runner, and Jennifer Dereus, a coach, a can-grow-anything gardener, and a hypnotherapist. And I’m Beth, a Master Life Coach, author, and creator of The Creator-based Way: Create Your One, Awesome, Amazing, Perfect Life. This month’s theme is Blessed, and we are considering how to receive the blessings that are already out there in abundance for us already.  It’s harvest season, but one must go pick the garden produce in order to receive it.  Today, we are considering two of the blocks for receiving the good that’s out there in the world, judgment and conflict In The Gifts of Imperfection, Brené Brown wrote, “Until we can receive with an open heart, we are never really giving with an open heart. When we attach judgment to receiving help, we knowingly or unknowingly attach judgment to giving help.” Did something go wrong for you today?  It’s a Monday… 1. When something goes wrong in your life, what happens to your day? Persecuted Victim: Choosing to continue the story and escalate Challenged Creator: Choosing to create a more authentic story:   clarity and focus  Judgment is the root of conflict.   2. Pretend that we’ve gone to Anthropology and are trying on clothes. The sales clerk was adorable and helpful vs  not helpful and kinda snotty Clothes in my size- clothes not in my size Clothes on sale - clothes really pricey  3. Let’s try on some Ideas the same way. What experiences have you had about conflict, and how did they work out?   4. Does conflict impact receiving?  5. Consider the use of Thought Alchemy* to convert conflict to open receiving: 6. This is alchemy in the form of a transformation process or algorithm, like the ancient process of trying to convert different chemicals to gold- no voodoo or black magic here! 7. ALCHEMY! A New thought to try on- and it’s a very flattering style and your favorite color!  Judge less, Love more.  The alchemy of loving thoughts on current conflict is powerful. “What if who you are is exactly who you’re supposed to be? What if you’re just right right now?” “Nothing has gone wrong here.  You are precisely where you are supposed to be.” “Until we can receive with an open heart, we are never really giving with an open heart. When we attach judgment to receiving help, we knowingly or unknowingly attach judgment to giving help.” Judge less, Love more.  The alchemy of loving thoughts on current conflict is powerful.
