They also look at a haunting letter Voss wrote to a newspaper in North Carolina.
Brandon returns to the LC Valley to dig into the case of Claudette Voliva. Along the way, he finds a startling connection to a previous case.
Brandon discusses his interview with Lance's second wife, Debbie, and an eye-raising detail emerges about Lance's mother, Jane. Also, another serial killer crops up with connections to Lance's family.
1Sam uncovers an article in the Bremerton, Washington newspaper dating from the time that Lance was there during his time in the Navy about a mysterious prowler. Meanwhile, Brandon begins to trace Lance's final movements in California and his eventual move to Idaho.

SRK Researcher, Tina, finds alarming new documents about Voss's lackluster service in the Navy. Brandon drills down on Lance's time in the Bay Area between his Naval discharge in 1968 and 1972, the peak years when the serial killer known as the Zodiac was reigning terror in Northern California.
In 1972, a seventeen-year-old girl named Antoinette Anino is found dead on a beach in Santa Cruz, California. Lance is then arrested for breaking into the funeral home in which her body lay.
Brandon learns of a shocking discovery in the LC Valley. . . Back in the Diane Taylor case, Brandon talks with a former Chicagoan criminal investigator and historian familiar with the 1963 murder. A bizarre phone call in the Diane Taylor case turns up a possible connection to the Christina White case.
An eight year old girl is murdered in Lance's childhood neighborhood when he is 15. He was her YMCA counselor.
Brandon revisits the tooth found along the Snake River. He then further breaks down Lance's timeline at the Civic Theater. A gruesome discovery. And two theories relating to Christina White and Steven Pearsall.
On September 12, 1982, three people vanished from the LC Valley, and each one of them had crossed paths with Lance that, the person of interest, on that evening. Brandon breaks down the story Lance gave police, and later, in an interview, he uncovers an unsettling detail about the den in Lance's home.
