In this episode Joe and Greg cover a shooter for the SNES -- BioMetal! This horizontal shooter doesn't do anything special but it has very pretty graphics, a soundtrack from a European techno group, and not a hint of flicker or slowdown. Is it still worth playing today? Tune in to find out! Any questions, comments, etc can be left on our FB page or e-mailed to thesnespodcast@yahoo.com and as always thanks for your support! In this episode Greg and Joe look at the early SNES RPG Drakkhen! A port of a Amiga/Atari computer game, this was one of the first RPG's to offer 360 degree 3D gameplay and the ability to walk anywhere you wanted, with great graphics for it's time and very good music. But how does this popular game hold up today? Perhaps no other SNES game has as diverse an opinion about it online. Greg and Joe offer our thoughts as to what we think about the game and if it's worth a play today. The enhanced DOS version of the computer game -- with a totally different story -- is currently on sale on Steam for just $1.50 (normal price $8). I am a die-hard Power Rangers fan. I have played Mighty Morphin Power Rangers; and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie on Sega Genesis, but not on the SNES. The first time I played those two SNES games was on an emulator on my cell phone back in 2016.
