What’s up Blachawks? We’re swooping into the New Year with a new segment and a refined tune. Club Connection kicks us off with a review of Leo Club. Following this segment, Divas Debate mulls over the best winter activity. Our newest segment, Senior Section, makes its debut with an interview of Ashton Fry. What are you grateful for this year? As Thanksgiving break approaches us, our media students reflect on how thankful we are to be working as a team: and how thankful we are that you’re listening to this segment! This month, we wrap up the fall season in our Sports segment and interview our Varsity Club president to get the scoop on Blackhawk athletics. Additionally, Divas Debate determines the best Thanksgiving foods.

We’re back with a new episode! Our November issue is full of awesome interviews that you won’t want to miss. In Club Connections, we interview members of Leo Club to get the scoop on Susquenita’s involvement in community service. Our Ask Admin segment features high school Principal, Mr. Funk; in which he discusses the history of his career and some of his favorite memories at SHS. Brother’s Banter includes an interesting argument about the best types of movies  and the items that should be asked for on a holiday wishlist. Our mental health segment, Mental Minutes, breaks down self image and healthy eating habits. And finally, the Blackhawk Buzz comes back at you with interviews of winter season coaches and our athletic director.

Happy April from “News from the Nest!” This podcast is no prank— kicking off the month with our Hawk Happenings to learn about Susquenita’s recent events. Just in time for Earth Day, Club Connections interviews members from Enviornmental Club in one sustainable segment. Brother’s Banter takes advantage of the sunny weather to discuss their summer plans, while Ask Admin keeps it cool indoors with an interview of Mrs. Matash— our tech expert. Mental Minutes shares an important message on driving safely and delves into the Mock Crash that prepares us for prom. And finally, Blackhawk Buzz wraps us up with an awesome update on our Varsity champions. 

Ever wonder what’s at the end of a rainbow? This podcast, because it’s gold! This month, we chat with Mr. Page in Ask Admin to discuss his experience as both a teacher and a vice principal. Brother Banter kicks off spring with a debate about the best after school activities. Mental Minutes also chats about spring, and some sunny ways individuals can utilize for self care. Big Brother Big Sister mentors are interviewed by Club Connections, and share their experiences with cultivating the younger generation.  Finally, Blackhawk Buzz wraps us up with a preview for spring sports.

February may be a short month, the Blackhawks know how to keep busy! Mental Minutes discusses the importance of self love and boundaries in relationships. Brother’s Banter is back at it to debate the best kinds of foods. Ask Admin interviews Mrs. Flowers about student internships and bringing other opportunities of career exploration to the high school. Club Connection interviews our newest club, Journalism, to get the scoop on our school newspaper. As always, Blackhawk Buzz brings the hype to athletics with a wrap-up on winter sports. 

Starting out strong, our team kicks off the year with a recap of the buzzing events at SHS. In sports, we interview fall athletes to get to the bottom of athletics this season. Art Club members are also interviewed in Club Connection, discussing their feelings about (and hopes for) the club. One interview takes place with SHS superintendent, Dr. Fox. Listeners should be sure to tune in to Ask Admin and learn about the history of his career (including all of the improvements he’s made at Susquenita)! Need a good laugh? Our debate segment rebrands itself  into “Brothers’ Banter”, where two brothers argue the best thanksgiving food. Last but not least, our BRAND-NEW segment (Mental Health Minute) shares with us a discussion about stress.
