Today I’m kicking off a series of episodes on the Prosperous Empath® Podcast where I will dig into some commonalities that empaths and HSPs experience in entrepreneurship and leadership. In my years of working with empaths from all walks of life, I’ve noticed that we often share similar struggles and obstacles that we need to overcome to thrive and prosper. In this solo episode, I’m talking about the power of manifestation and the process of reconnecting with your dreams, desires, and creativity. To tell the truth, I have a love/hate relationship with the word “manifestation” - even though I have manifested many things in my life and business. If there’s a logical part of you that resists the concept of manifestation, you’ll resonate with this episode! I’m sharing nuggets of wisdom on how to become intentional with your thoughts and beliefs as well as my favorite manifestation practices to try.      Topics: What manifestation is (and isn’t) and the idea that every result is the consequence of a previous thought and belief  Identifying self-abandonment and the vulnerable practice of reconnecting with your dreams and creativity 8 manifestation practices that helped Catherine open her heart, trust her intuition, and start dreaming big again  Reconnecting with your inner capacity for joy, finding your embodiment practice, and co-conspiring with the universe to create an aligned life  The power of “acting as if” and embracing your skepticism to get out of your comfort zone and connect with the longings of your heart      Episode Resources: Join us on May 13th at 12pm ET for our monthly Non-Networking Power Hour for Empath Entrepreneurs with our UNBOUNDED Community for deep connections and meaningful support. If you want your website to rank high on Google but have always been intimidated by the concept of SEO, this episode of the Prosperous Empath® is for you! I’m sitting down with Kelsey Flannery, a Google Certified Expert and CEO of KaeRae Marketing, and UNBOUNDED Mastermind member, to talk about the basics of search engine optimization and how to approach it in a way that aligns with your values as an empath. Kelsey quit her job at a big marketing agency to develop an innovative Google marketing framework that allows you to authentically share who you are while strategically using SEO to your advantage. We’re digging deep into how Google really works, breaking down common SEO terms that may have overwhelmed you in the past, and sharing easy steps you can take right after listening to this episode to improve your rankings and visibility. While Google may appear like the cool kid that’ll never talk to you, it actually wants to be your best friend. In this conversation, Kelsey and I will equip you with the understanding and tools you need to start making Google your best friend as an empath.    Topics: Humanizing SEO and the idea that while it can be intimidating, Google is an introvert’s best-kept secret in marketing and can be used in empathetic and values-aligned ways The difference between hunting-based vs. harvesting-based marketing and how SEO can help you educate, grow and attract your target audience Basic SEO terms (search engine optimization, Google Analytics, conversions, and keywords),what they actually mean and why they are a game changer in the online business world Easy steps you can take right now to start growing on Google and when to consider outsourcing to a marketing team      Episode Resources: Join us on May 13th at 12pm ET for our monthly Non-Networking Power Hour for Empath Entrepreneurs with our UNBOUNDED Mastermind Community for deep connections and meaningful support. I’m ecstatic to sit down for this insightful conversation with Isabelle Griffith, the Founder of The School Of Somatic Leadership For Women™, on this episode of the Prosperous Empath®. Isabelle is a Somatic and Embodied Feminine Leadership coach. Her life’s work is to help women break the internalized narratives that are keeping them feeling stressed, depleted, burnt out, and doubting their worth. After spending 20 years in the corporate world and having two beautiful children, she found herself severely burned out - although her seemingly perfect life “ticked” all the boxes. For Isabelle, experiencing burnout was a doorway to reconnecting with her feminine essence and discovering that a completely different way of life and leadership was possible. Many women live in their masculine energy by default, not tapping into the part of them that’s cyclical instead of linear. Through our conversation, Isabelle and I uncover how to find a renewed sense of inner authority, regulate your nervous system, and, most importantly, what it means to be an embodied feminine leader. Topics: Isabelle’s story of following the blueprint for the perfect life yet feeling completely broken and self-critical and how burnout was her doorway to transformation and change Recognizing where you’re living in your masculine and embarking on a tender journey of reclamation of your feminine The idea that conventional leadership is portrayed in a very masculine way (a man in a suit) and what it means to become an embodied feminine leader Becoming attuned to your body’s wisdom, emotions, and fluctuations, and regulating your nervous system to improve and expand your quality of being Learning how to trust yourself and the natural unfolding of life instead of being too attached to your goals and certain outcomes   Episode Resources: Join us on April 15th at 12pm ET for our monthly Non-Networking Power Hour for Empath Entrepreneurs with our UNBOUNDED Mastermind Community for deep connections and meaningful support. If you’ve been a part of my community for a while, you know that intuition is one of my favorite topics to discuss. This is why I’m so excited to sit down with Jill L. Ferguson, serial entrepreneur, best-selling author, and international speaker, to talk about embracing your intuition and following a non-linear path in business and, perhaps even more importantly, life. Jill started her first business at the age of eighteen and has been in-and-out of self-employment ever since, authoring dozens of books and exploring different passions, from painting & photography to consulting & coaching. She learned early on that there’s no straight path to entrepreneurship, but along the way she has learned the importance of following your gut, saying yes to opportunities, and learning to trust yourself. Jill believes that all of us - especially Highly Sensitive People (HSPs) and empaths - were born with divine creativity within us. Yet, in a world that’s so focused on “staying on track,” cultivating a strong sense of self and giving yourself permission to explore is no easy feat. Jill and I have a vulnerable and insightful discussion today about unpacking people-pleasing, taking creative action, and living authentically. If you find it hard to give yourself permission to do things your own way, you’ll undoubtedly learn a lot and walk away inspired from this episode.    Topics: The idea that we’re put on a linear path as small children and that even though many linear notions are ingrained in our brains, entrepreneurship, life, religion, education, relationships - none of it has to be linear  Recognizing when you’re making choices to fulfill other people’s expectations vs. your own and learning to trust yourself  Giving up on the notion that you have to run your business a certain way to be successful and building processes that feel authentic to you  Living as a human being, not a human doing, and embracing passion, openness, and creativity  Learning to block out the noise around you, connect deeper with your intuition, and approach life playfully     Episode Resources: Join us on April 15th at 12pm ET for our monthly Non-Networking Power Hour for Empath Entrepreneurs with our UNBOUNDED Mastermind Community for deep connections and meaningful support.   Connect with Jill: Website  Facebook  Instagram: @ferguson4473 LinkedIn     Connect with Catherine: Apply to join the free Unbounded Mastermind community, a vibrant group of empathpreneurs who are passionate about supporting each other on our entrepreneurial journeys.  Website LinkedIn Instagram YouTube Sign up to receive my weekly digest on empathic entrepreneurship and hear from voices committed to spreading this message, sent straight to your inbox every Friday since 2016, here.    Work with Catherine: Interested in working 1:1 with a certified coach on Catherine’s team, or joining her in one of her premium mastermind programs? In this episode of the Prosperous Empath®, I’m sitting down with financial advisor and UNBOUNDED Mastermind Alum, Cris Caruso to talk about a phenomenon that many people have experienced in recent years: lifestyle creep. Cris has been in the financial services industry since 2004 and a financial advisor since 2008. Beyond that, she has pursued additional education in understanding how our behaviors shape financial outcomes by earning the Behavioral Financial Advisor designation from Think2Perform. She also earned the Accredited Domestic Partnership Advisor credential prior to 2015 as a way to support her LGBTQIA+bclients and continues to use this knowledge to work with unmarried couples and non-traditional families. You’ll appreciate her unique experience throughout today’s episode as she speaks on lifestyle creep, or lifestyle inflation, which is overspending on things that you don’t actually need as your income increases. When you’re early in your career, your spending habits focus on must-haves like housing and groceries. But as your income increases, it’s easy to lose track of what is a necessity and what are simply too many luxuries, and to just keep buying more. Cris and I discuss both values-based and practical strategies on how to identify the areas of your life you should spend generously on and where to be more mindful to reach your long-term goals. How do you live in alignment with your money, especially as an entrepreneur and an empath? You’ll get an answer to this question as you listen to our thought provoking conversation on purposeful spending, the importance of allowing yourself to have fun & fabulous experiences, and more.   Topics: Understanding lifestyle creep and how to identify and avoid meaningless overspending  The importance of spending generously on things that truly satisfy you and how to identify what they are  Recognizing how perfectionism, scarcity mindset, and societal expectations are contributing to your relationship with money  Finding the right balance between lifestyle creep and mindfully increasing your spending as your income grows  Navigating financial planning as an entrepreneur with a fluctuating income that often grows quicker than expected  How to start investing in a way that is aligned with your values and vision    Episode Resources: The Millionaire Next Door The Next Millionaire Next Door We Should All Be Millionaires  BottomLine  Join us on April 15th at 12pm ET for our monthly Non-Networking Power Hour for Empath Entrepreneurs with our UNBOUNDED Mastermind Community for deep connections and meaningful support.   Connect with Cris: Website  Facebook  Instagram: @savoirefinancial  LinkedIn    Connect with Catherine: Website LinkedIn Instagram YouTube Sign up to receive my weekly digest on empathic entrepreneurship and hear from voices committed to spreading this message, sent straight to your inbox every Friday since 2016, here.    Work with Catherine: Interested in working 1:1 with a certified coach on Catherine’s team, or joining her in one of her premium mastermind programs? Disclaimer: This episode could be hard for some listeners to hear, especially if you’ve been struggling with conceiving. I’ll share that we are pregnant, and we have been blessed to have NOT had any miscarriages.    On this week’s episode of the Prosperous Empath®, I’m continuing to authentically share the behind-the-scenes of my pregnancy journey and the lessons I’ve learned along the way. Be sure to listen to last week’s episode if you haven’t already! In the beginning, the process was incredibly challenging for me because I went into it attached to a certain timeline in my mind - getting pregnant immediately - and it just didn’t happen that way for us. Instead, I had to stop trying to control the journey, trust the process, and discover ways of getting support that I hadn’t considered before. From seeing alternative healthcare providers and sharing my struggles more openly with family and friends to considering IVF and getting a medical procedure that finally helped us conceive naturally, I’m sharing all the details in today’s episode. If you’ve been struggling trying to conceive or know someone who is, I hope that my experience helps you feel less alone on your journey and more empowered to trust your instincts.    Topics: The idea that how you show up or get blocked in one area of your life (for example, business) can be applied to other areas of your life (in this case, conception) Letting go of unfulfilled pregnancy expectations and surrendering to the process and my intuition instead of holding onto a rigid timeline How openly sharing my struggles and getting support, encouragement, and blessings from others created an energetic shift for me Working with an acupuncturist + a chiropractor and getting a medical procedure (HCG) to increase our chances of conceiving naturally How my habits have (and have not) shifted during pregnancy, from morning routine to cold plunging Episode Resources Dr. Debra Ramsay at Alignment Chiropractic Center Kate Zeigler at Tidewater Acupuncture Mount Auburn Center for Women in Cambridge Unbounded Mastermind Join the Private Unbounded Community on Mighty Networks   Reflections, Ahas and Lessons Learned on Hosting the First Unbounded Mastermind Retreat Connect with Catherine: Website LinkedIn Instagram YouTube Sign up to receive my weekly digest on empathic entrepreneurship and hear from voices committed to spreading this message, sent straight to your inbox every Friday since 2016, here. I’ve been looking forward to recording this episode of the Prosperous Empath® for months now. I’m so excited to share that I’m pregnant! Yet, my journey to conception has been long and full of challenges. In this episode, I’m going to get vulnerable about my experience because there is so much information I wish I had known before my husband Parth and I started trying to have a baby. I mistakenly thought we’d get pregnant immediately, but it took us almost a year to conceive. Over that year, I learned the importance of managing unfulfilled expectations, self-advocating for my wants and needs, breaking down in order to break through, and many other things that I simply wasn’t ready for at the beginning of my conception journey. When you want something so deeply, it’s really hard to surrender - yet that’s just what I had to do. Whether you’re thinking about pregnancy or already trying to conceive, I hope that this episode helps you feel more supported as you navigate your own journey.  Topics: Going into the conception process thinking that I’m going to get pregnant immediately and working through the heartbreak of unfulfilled expectations  The importance of self-advocating for yourself, working with empathic medical professionals, and leaning on the practitioners you trust  How the personal development work I’ve been doing over the last decade has helped me during my conception journey Episode Resources Mount Auburn Center for Women in Cambridge Learn more about the Emerge Mastermind, doors are now open! As I’m recording this solo episode of the Prosperous Empath®, I’m enjoying a week with no client calls & focusing entirely on working on my business instead of working in it. I block off my calendar like this every last week of the month and instantly feel more spacious and creative. This got me thinking about one of the most popular topics I discuss with clients: Becoming the architect of your ideal schedule. When you’re a 9-5 employee, being busy is celebrated as a sign that you’re a hard worker or an overachiever, while embracing leisure is frowned upon. When you transition into entrepreneurship and become the CEO of your own schedule, the “busy” mindset has to shift. Why? Because as an entrepreneur, so much of your success is who you’re being and how you’re showing up - instead of how booked your schedule is. In this episode, I’ll unpack the idea of transforming your relationship with time as you grow & evolve and how it’s one of the most challenging (and necessary) mindset shifts to make as an entrepreneur. You’ll walk away with practical strategies on how to lean into CEO thinking, change your perspective, and master your time.   Topics: How to shift your mindset from being a 9-5 employee to becoming the architect of your ideal schedule as an entrepreneur How to create energetic space in your calendar & mind to allow for big, intuitive, and courageous thinking to emerge Exploring the idea that your ideal schedule as an entrepreneur is going to evolve & look different depending on the season of business that you’re in  Looking at time management as self-management and allowing yourself to invite more leisure, idleness, and pleasure into your life How to build a schedule that works for you & prioritizes your energy instead of the energy of other people    Episode Resources: Unbounded Mastermind The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People: Powerful Lessons in Personal Change by Stephen R. On this week’s episode of the Prosperous Empath®, we’ll explore how to effectively lead as a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP), mitigate challenges, and work with your strengths. I’m thrilled to sit down with Nina Khoo, a Sensitive Leadership Coach and a Master NLP Coach who helps HSPs understand and embrace their unique wiring so they can become confident and empathetic leaders. It’s common for Highly Sensitive People to believe that they’re not capable of effective leadership and struggle with overwhelm, perfectionism, and second-guessing. Nina and I uncover how our greatest strengths can sometimes be the traits we feel most self-conscious about and pose a central question: How does a Highly Sensitive Person protect their gifts as a leader? As an empath and an HSP, your brain is physiologically wired to take more information in and process it more deeply, which can be an incredibly powerful leadership skill. Yet, it can also lead to overwhelm and self-criticism. Through our conversation, you’ll learn how to approach leadership in a more sensitive, empathetic, and compassionate way so you can own your gifts and make a bigger difference in the world.  Topics: Why HSPs feel that they’re not capable of being effective leaders and how the traits you may feel self-conscious about can be your greatest gifts  Overcoming overwhelm, perfectionism, and the tendency to subordinate your wisdom as an empathetic leader Cultivating awareness of how your brain is psychologically wired as a Highly Sensitive Person and learning how to use your unique wiring to your advantage Getting out of the procrastination and self-doubt cycle, learning how to own your HSP gifts instead of minimizing them, and coming back to your true why The future of business leadership and why the world needs more sensitive, compassionate, and empathetic leaders   Episode Resources: Join us on March 11th at 12pm ET for our monthly Non-Networking Power Hour for Empath Entrepreneurs with our UNBOUNDED Mastermind Community for deep connections and meaningful support. Welcome to the newest episode of The Prosperous Empath® Podcast, I am so delighted to be here with you. At the time of this recording it is a Monday morning and I’m coming off the most magical weekend where I celebrated the Lunar New Year with a group of girlfriends in Boston. We spent time with Louise Hay’s book, Colors & Numbers: Your Personal Guide to Positive Vibrations in Daily Life, which in the past, has forecasted some very synchronistic and powerful moments in my life. I tell you this because the time spent this past weekend has allowed me to finally feel confident in choosing my word of the year for 2024, a word that has been calling me but I initially felt resistant to – simplicity. Throughout this episode I’m going to first rewind a bit to share how my word of the year for 2023, leisure, created a lot of amazing shifts in my life. Then, I’ll share the four areas where I’m inviting more simplicity in my life and business in 2024. Heads up that this episode also includes details on upcoming changes of how you can work with me. So if you’ve been thinking of joining our Emerge or Unbounded Masterminds, I invite you to listen all the way through then check out the links provided in the show notes. Enjoy!   Topics: A look back on 2023 and how Catherine incorporated her previous word of the year “leisure” and was able to call that experience into her life How so many of us struggle with giving ourselves permission to relax, and often forget the time freedom we sought for ourselves when creating our businesses  The struggles that Catherine faced when choosing her word of the year for 2024 and why she initially resisted the word that was calling her  The four big areas of Catherine’s business where she is seeing a call for simplicity  The reminder that how you craft your schedule is completely up to you as the CEO of your business and your time Why Catherine is leaning into facilitating her two masterminds rather than her 1:1 practice  The disconnect that Catherine is feeling with social media and why she’s decided to take a step back    Episode Resources: Join us on March 11th at 12pm ET for our monthly Non-Networking Power Hour for Empath Entrepreneurs with our UNBOUNDED Mastermind Community for deep connections and meaningful support. I’m thrilled to have my colleague and co-coach in both our Unbounded and Emerge Masterminds, Laura Kline-Taylor, join me again today on The Prosperous Empath® to talk about the idea of selling vs. enrollment. If you’ve listened to the podcast before, you know that I’m a big fan of enrollment where, as a coach, I am committed to helping my clients cultivate self-belief to become who they want and fully trust themselves in the process (and this includes in trusting themselves to choose the best fit coaches and consultants for them vs. being sold on who and why they need to hire someone). This is often the opposite of some coaches and most consultants who are selling you on your own pain points – it’s more transactional than an ongoing co-creation. Laura and I share experiences where we’ve been sold a service and compare those to times that we’ve been enrolled in a service. If you’re a heart-centered coach who is an empath or HSP, this episode will give you a new way to share the transformation that you can provide and call in aligned clients without any of the ick. Remember, cultivating self-belief is an ongoing process, but it is 100% possible to not only charge competitive rates, but be confident in sharing your services and prices, too.    Topics: How Laura and Catherine define sales (transactional exchange) vs. enrollment (an ongoing co-creation)  The art form of enrollment and how skilled coaches are consistently enrolling their clients in their own self-belief and self-leadership Defining a “coach-sultant” and how they’re often enrolled more in the problem than the future and how this blocks expansion Enrolling in your own possibility to create an aligned business strategy and achieving sustainable success  How being enrolled in yourself will help you create what you want in an organic way and therefore create more of a transformation for their clients The different ways that you can actually grow your own self-belief to feel more in touch with your offerings  Laura and Catherine’s favorite practices when it comes to enrolling others in their work    Episode Resources: Past episode with Laura: The Possibilities of Cycle Tracking for Your Business and Life  Past episode with Laura: The Impact of Your Relationships on Business Success  Join us on March 11th at 12pm ET for our monthly Non-Networking Power Hour for Empath Entrepreneurs with our UNBOUNDED Mastermind Community for deep connections and meaningful support.   Connect with Laura: Website  Instagram: @outloudlaura LinkedIn   Connect with Catherine: Website LinkedIn Instagram YouTube Sign up to receive my weekly digest on empathic entrepreneurship and hear from voices committed to spreading this message, sent straight to your inbox every Friday since 2016, here.    Work with Catherine: Interested in working 1:1 with Catherine or a certified coach on her team, or joining one of her premium mastermind programs? This week’s episode of the Prosperous Empath® gets to the heart of how to access your creativity to overcome hardship and build an aligned life. I sit down with Carey Kirkella, an award-winning photographer for purpose-driven brands and the creator of The L.E.N.S. Method™, to have a conversation about mental health, regulating your nervous system, and sparking your creative expression. Carey shares her story of living with bipolar disorder and experiencing postpartum psychosis and how she channeled her lived experience into creative self-expression. What if we go through life experiences - and even hardships - to ultimately use them as means to create, tell stories, and heal? As Wayne Dyer once said, “If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change”. I hope this conversation helps you shift your perspective, become more creative, and generate more abundance in your life. Enjoy!   Topics: Living with mental illness and how you can transform your hardship into creative expression to find a deeper purpose How to connect with your art and self-expression to tell your story as an empath and a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP) Shifting your perspective to experience life through a lens of deep gratitude, love, and creativity  How to regulate your nervous system and look for creative responses instead of reacting to your circumstances How to start seeing your sensitivity as a superpower instead of a weakness   Episode Resources: Join us on February 12th at 12pm ET for our monthly Non-Networking Power Hour for Empath Entrepreneurs with our UNBOUNDED Mastermind Community for deep connections and meaningful support. Choosing a word of the year is a tradition that so many of us practice at the start of each new year, but how often do we really think about the impact it could have beyond it being a name for our hopes? Today on the Prosperous Empath®, I sit down with two wonderful women and members of our UNBOUNDED Mastermind Community, Rebecca Arnold, executive & leadership coach; and Rebecca Eller-Molitas, adult education consultant, to discuss the practice of choosing your word of the year. Throughout our conversation, we share how you can use your word of the year as a touchstone to make better decisions, generate clarity, and hold yourself accountable. You’ll take away bite-sized pieces of wisdom that will help you elevate your goal-setting and experience of life. Do you always wait until January to set new goals? I’m excited to have Liz Rohr back on the Prosperous Empath® today, where I’ll be sharing an episode that we originally recorded for their show, the Real World NP Podcast. If you listened to their past episode, you know that Liz is committed to embracing their zone of genius as an empath and avoiding burnout while staying committed to their values. Our past conversation was chock full of insights,  and I am excited to expand on them and more today.  We’re unpacking caretaking, boundaries, codependency and how to stop neglecting your own needs – something that is all too common for empaths. We get vulnerable as we both talk about recognizing how sometimes we take care of other people to feel good about ourselves and ways to shift this behavior pattern. You may take care of other people because you feel capable and ambitious, just because you can do something, doesn’t mean that you should do it. This is especially true as a coach, where you can only take care of others to the degree that you take care of yourself. If you’re practiced in stepping over your needs, it’s normal to feel like you don’t know what your needs and desires are, but we give you a practical framework to start developing your authentic voice and boundaries with yourself and others. I hope you enjoy this conversation as much as we did!   Topics: What caretaking is, how it manifests itself in relationships, and why you can’t fill someone else’s cup before you fill your own  Learning how to protect and hold sacred your gifts as an empath so you don’t end up using them against yourself  Why you should recognize your caretaking and codependency traits and stop always jumping in to be a hero Normalizing that you may not know what your needs and desires are (yet!) after neglecting them for a long time How to start enforcing your needs and boundaries in your relationships with yourself and others and start feeling well-resourced and cherished Episode Resources: To Weep for a Stranger: Compassion Fatigue in Caregiving by Patricia Smith Codependent No More: How to Stop Controlling Others and Start Caring for Yourself by Melody Beattie Nonviolent Communication: A Language of Life: Life-Changing Tools for Healthy Relationships by Marshall B. In today's episode, I'm excited to share my recent experience as a speaker at the HSP Awakening Virtual Summit co-hosted by my friend and past guest of the podcast, Josh Speraneo. During my talk, I share what it means to be a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP) for me and how embracing my empathic nature has reshaped my understanding of strength and vulnerability. I dig into the topic of internalized capitalism, what it means, how it plays into our life and how we can start to break up with this systemic challenge that so many of us, especially highly sensitive intuitive empaths are living and operating inside of. This discussion is a heartfelt exploration of how HSPs like us can turn our sensitivity into our greatest asset. If you've ever felt overwhelmed by the world's expectations or struggled to honor your inner sensitivity, this episode is a gentle reminder that you're not alone.   Topics: How rest can be a form of resistance in today's hustle culture, especially for HSPs Addressing the issue of workaholism and exploring strategies for HSPs to consciously choose a healthier, more balanced approach to work and life How discovering her introverted and empathic nature helped transform Catherine's life Why sensitive empaths often are underestimated in business, and what unique strengths they offer The importance of creating rituals and normalizing leisure for empathic entrepreneurs The significance of creating supportive and inspiring communities for HSPs and empaths, emphasizing the role of masterminds and group support   Episode resources: Rest Is Resistance: A Manifesto by Tricia Hersey Belonging: Overcome Your Inner Critic and Reclaim Your Joy by Catherine Wood Do Nothing: How to Break Away from Overworking, Overdoing, and Underliving by Celeste Headlee Coming Home to Yourself as a Highly Sensitive Man with Josh Speraneo Internalized Capitalism and Four Conscious Ways to Combat it Join us on Monday, January 22 at 12pm ET for our monthly Non-Networking Power Hour for Empath Entrepreneurs with our UNBOUNDED Mastermind Community for deep connections and meaningful support.   Connect with Catherine: Website LinkedIn Instagram YouTube Sign up to receive my weekly digest on empathic entrepreneurship and hear from voices committed to spreading this message, sent straight to your inbox every Friday since 2016, here.    Work with Catherine: Interested in working 1:1 with Catherine or a certified coach on her team, or joining one of her premium mastermind programs? In this final episode of our three part series on habits, I want to take you back to the beginning of my own journey with habits and becoming consistent in daily habits because it wasn't always like this for me. I have been practicing intentional habits for the past decade, but when I first started out in my coaching journey, I was wildly inconsistent with habits – they were something I longed for, it was a problem in my life that I wanted to change but I felt like I did not have the knowledge or the skill set or the willpower to follow through. I think often on our journey as ambitious empaths, we're often so focused on what we're producing, what we're creating, our goals, our drive, our ambition, that we forget how we can set ourselves up for success so that we can continue to grow and evolve and maintain healthy relationships and scalable success without being at the expense of ourselves, our own well being and our burnout. I cannot tell you how many empaths I have spoken with over the years who have all experienced burnout, who have all learned how to take better care of themselves at or on the brink of being burned out, or some essentially even just feeling a need to walk away from their relationships, their business, or their career because they haven't learned how to have it all they haven't learned how to show up and operate in a sustainable scalable way. Tune in today to hear some other options to this all too common problem!   Topics: Setting yourself up to win with your habits How building consistency with a routine or healthy habits in the morning is the catalyst for prioritizing your own needs and wellbeing Why Catherine believes that developing habits is one of the most invaluable skill sets that a Prosperous Empath can commit to The four characteristics or attributes that can really set you up for success when you're just beginning to develop a new habit What setting a S.M.A.R.T goal can look like for the Prosperous Empath and the other key components that Cat likes to consider An excerpt from Catherine’s book, Belonging, and how her morning routine has shifted over the years   Episode Resources: Eve Rodsky, “Find Your Unicorn Space: Reclaim Your Creative Life in a Too-Busy World” Buy my book, Belonging Join us on Monday, January 22 at 12pm ET for our monthly Non-Networking Power Hour for Empath Entrepreneurs with our UNBOUNDED Mastermind Community for deep connections and meaningful support. Welcome to the second part of my series on building habits. In this episode, I want to talk about how my relationship with habits has changed over the last decade as well as share three daily habits that I’ve been practicing over the past year. As you already know, I’m incredibly passionate about creating new habits, but it used to be something that I had to exert a whole lot of mind power over to follow through. In this episode, I’m going to cover how I built more muscle memory around habits and share some tips. I’m also excited to get a little vulnerable and share the three habits that I’ve been practicing over the past year and discuss the changes I’ve noticed in myself and my relationships with others. This episode is quite personal and I talk about my relationship with my husband, my decision to practice sobriety, and how I truly feel about meditation (it’s not what you expect!). I can’t wait to share these insights with you.   Topics: How to transform your relationship with habits and become more consistent The benefits of becoming consistent with habits (personally and in business)  How to find your bigger purpose for committing to a habit and use it to overcome circumstances The three personal habits that Catherine practiced over the past year How Catherine’s habits impacted her relationship with her husband and social circle  How choosing the right habits can help you become more intentional about your time   Episode Resources: Success Principles: How to Get from Where You Are to Where You Want to Be by Jack Canfield Chicken Soup for the Soul by Jack Canfield Unbounded Mastermind Retreat    Connect with Catherine: Website LinkedIn Instagram YouTube Sign up to receive my weekly digest on empathic entrepreneurship and hear from voices committed to spreading this message, sent straight to your inbox every Friday since 2016, here.    Work with Catherine: Interested in working 1:1 with Catherine or a certified coach on her team, or joining one of her premium mastermind programs? As I’m recording this episode, the holiday season is in full swing and I’m planning my 2024 vision, goals, and still noodling on my word for the year. If I’m being honest, I have a mixed relationship with New Year's Resolutions and believe that you can start a new habit any day of the year. This is what this episode is all about - The Art of Creating Habits, whether it’s to gear up for the new year or at any other day of your life. This is the first of a three episode series that I’ll be doing on habits. I’m incredibly passionate about this topic and am going to share my tips over the next couple of episodes on how to build consistent habits, starting with using my most recent (crazy!) habit, going for daily dips in the ocean, as an example. We’re going to cover how to transform your habits into deeply satisfying expressions of your identity, how to become consistent with them, and why building healthy habits is especially important if you’re an empath. We’re also going to talk about staying present and choosing habits that actually matter. I believe that committing to a new habit can open the door to an entirely new way of life for you, and can’t wait to share what I’ve learned over the last decade of habit setting!  Topics: New Year’s Resolutions and why they may or may not work when trying to build a new habit Catherine’s most recent habit, going for daily swims in the ocean, and how it has impacted her life Mindset practices that help Catherine maintain habits for months, years or even indefinitely How to cultivate mindset strength to stay consistent with habits Why habit building is particularly important for empaths and how they allow you to take better care of yourself and others The idea that habits can be an expression of who you are and your identity  How to choose habits that make you feel satisfied and fulfilled    Episode Resources: Gay Hendricks, “The Big Leap: Conquer Your Hidden Fear and Take Life to the Next Level” James Clear, “Atomic Habits: An Easy & Proven Way to Build Good Habits & Break Bad Ones” 6-Month Course on Mastering Presence Eve Rodsky, “Find Your Unicorn Space: Reclaim Your Creative Life in a Too-Busy World”   Connect with Catherine: Website LinkedIn Instagram YouTube Sign up to receive my weekly digest on empathic entrepreneurship and hear from voices committed to spreading this message, sent straight to your inbox every Friday since 2016, here.    Work with Catherine: Interested in working 1:1 with Catherine or a certified coach on her team, or joining one of her premium mastermind programs?
