If you've ever wanted something so bad but you didn't believe it could happen, it probably never came to be or didn't turn out the way iy=t could have because you didn't believe in it in the first place. Today, I sit down with my cousin, Danny Chavez, Founder and CEO of Empowering Our Community for Success. As a boy growing up without a father in his life, Danny turned to destructive behaviors that would ultimately lead him down a path of pain, heartache, and suffering.  After spending several years in the prison system and missing out on life with his five children, Danny gave his life to God at the age of 34. Since then, he's done his best to restore his relationships with others and give back to at-risk youth. One of my mentors, Sean Croxton, has this saying: Little by little, a little becomes a lot. If you want to have any result in life, you must start with what you have, no matter how small it seems.  By principle, we are designed to multiply and increase. This is how God planned it. But for so many of us, we allow impatience, disbelief, and lack of commitment, to hold us back. The result? We never realize some of our greatest dreams and desires. We are all called to forgive others, no matter the offense. Why? Because God tells us to. Not only that, but the only way that WE will receive forgiveness is if WE FORGIVE. Does forgiveness= forgetting or accepting wrongs? NO! The term narcissist seems to get tossed around a bit these days. People who may demonstrate selfishness or a sense of entitlement may incorrectly be labeled as such. In my conversation with today's guest, we get an inside look at what true narcissism looks like as well as the toll it can have on family members.  Unable to continue living under the same roof with her husband, Christelle found the courage she needed to end her marriage and begin a new life for her and her three children. Whether you are a parent or not, the way in which you live your life is impacting others. As parents, we can never be perfect and we're not expected to even try. Most people don't realize the power they truly have over their thought life. They also don't realize that a single thought can lead to their ultimate joy or pain.  In this episode, I am offering suggestions for practicing having thoughts that work for us and not against us.
