This week, we watched series 8 episode 5, "Time Heist", an episode named after what two Stevens did to us when we watched it. We were very harsh on the episode this week! Not because we hated it, but because it was the right thing to do. This is a fairly enjoyable episode that deserves to be ripped to shreds. In other words, the perfect episode for us to watch for our podcast! Thanks, Stevens!

At long last, we will discover the fate of Amy and Rory in series 7 episode 5, "The Angels Take Manhattan"! The angels won't be the only ones weeping after our favorite(?) couple fall into their haunted alien wood chipper! Hopefully our new friend Detective Melody Malone can help solve the mystery of why this episode was set in Manhattan when it features almost no locations, people, or anything identifiably New York! It almost makes you wonder if Steven just had an idea for a particular irrelevant set piece to put in the trailer and then stopped thinking about it!

Buzz, buzz, and things of that nature! This week on our funny numbereth episode (please ignore the part at the end where we both think this is episode 68) we watched series 4 episode 7, "The Unicorn and the Wasp"! It's somehow only our second Donna episode and we enjoy to see her. Agatha Christie is also here, which means this is an episode that accidentally implies that all famous writers are incapable of imagining things and just write about what happens when they meet the Doctor. Oops!

There's a new Doctor in town! This week, we're watching series 14 (I refuse to call it season 1) episode 2, "The Devil's Chord"! The Fifteenth Doctor and his new friend Ruby Sunday the Living Christmas Girl or Something are heading to 1963 to meet the Beatles. What will happen when their music sounds as bad as it does sometimes? How will they cope when they face their toughest foe yet: an actual American actor?

Thank god, finally another weird episode about pregnancy! It's series 11 episode 5, "The Tsuranga Conundrum", and... actually, is it about pregnancy? Is it about an extremist hospital in a bleak future? Is it about parenting? Is it about... Yaz? Definitely not that! This is one of those episodes where way too much is going on. Mostly it's about a guy named Durkas, and what would happen if someone was named Durkas.

This week, we're discussing series 5 episode 8, "The Hungry Earth"! One of us watched the episode a few weeks ago, and the other was distracted making a sandwich. Anyway, we're fairly sure that we know what happens in this episode. The Doctor declares war on everyone's wives and throws them all into a hole in the ground. Meanwhile, the Silurians debut their new sexual faces!

We'd been feeling a little lost in Flux, but thankfully this week we're watching series 13 episode 1, "The Halloween Apocalypse"! This is where it all began, so we'll finally have all the context we've been missing. Just who are Swarm and Azure Ravagers? Does a mysterious Hat Man live on Mars, or in Liverpool? How many Sontarans does it take to control a sector? Is Bel the Doctor's mom or whatever? Thankfully, at least one of these questions is finally answered. For the others, we'll get them next time I'm sure!

At long last, we're getting an answer to a question that goes all the way back to our second episode: "who is the eyepatch lady?" As it turns out, she's a woman with an eyepatch-looking thing! This is basically the only thing we learned from series 6 episode 7, "A Good Man Goes to War"! Other than that, it's mostly a lot of words spoken by the man who speaks the words of the writer who writes... for they say that when the speaking man speaks the words written by the writer who writes, the speaker becomes the speakest.

Join us once again in the land of headcrabs and Santa as we discuss series 9 episode 1, "The Magician's Apprentice"! It's one of Steven's famous Words Episodes, and the Doctor is barely in it. It's mainly about Clara going on a field trip with Missy and what would that be like? They still haven't confirmed that this is a headcrab dream but it definitely is. You're not tricking us, Steven!

We're back with the most gruesome, spine-chilling ghost episode of all time, series 12 episode 8, "The Haunting of Villa Diodati"! In multiple ways, this is an episode about spreading misinformation about the writing of Frankenstein. Who did it better, Maxine Alderton or Jordan? Please don't @ us. Forget about these writers though, the real star of the show this week is our imaginary version of Graham! What an absolute belter!

Merry Christmas! This episode comes with a festive content warning for fatphobia and suicide, for some reason. It's the 2007 Christmas special, "Voyage of the Damned"! Sorry to spoil our opinions before you've even listened, but this is another bad episode for the bad episode books. The Doctor is on the Space Titanic, and... look, it's bad enough that I had to watch it, and talk about it, and listen to it again while I edited this. Now you want me to describe it again here? I'm fed up!! Here's the episode!

Somehow, the Master has returned. How did he fall out of the Harmony Hole? Maybe that question will be answered in series 3 episode 11, "Utopia"! Jack (Harkness) is back (barkness) and we're taking him on a trip to the most distant future except the other most distant futures we've already been to. It's a world of sharp teeth, rocks, and night time. Martha is here too. Will the Doctor finally forgive Jack for something or whatever? Chan will Chantho confess her love to Professor Yana tho? And the question we've all been asking since today: what does Professor Yana's name mean?

We're going back to the very early days to go back to the very late days, in series 1 episode 2, "The End of the World"! It's the episode where the Doctor thinks Rose would like to watch her planet be destroyed, because he liked it so much when it happened to him (which it didn't, but they didn't know that yet.) It's also the episode with Cassandra the Skin Lady, and the Face of Boe, and the Dark Memelords. Look at all these weird aliens! What a great show sometimes.

We wished for a good episode last week, and a blue guy gave us season 2 episode 20, "What Is and What Should Never Be"! Depending on who you ask, our wish may or may not have been granted! This is one of those "what if you were in an alternate reality where everything seemed good but there was a twist" stories... with a twist! We recommend enjoying this episode in your local ruins.

At long last, 57 episodes in, we have finally got ourselves a Donna episode! It's series 4 episode 3, "Planet of the Ood"! As is so often the case on this podcast, we're meeting our new companion one episode 3, so the introductions are out of the way and her role in this one is fairly small. Oh well! Anyway, this is an episode about the King of Slavery. Will he see the error of his ways? Or will he eat spaghetti and drink hair juice until his hair falls off and his spaghetti falls out?

We're not sick anymore, but we are both unable to record this week, so there's no better time to share our Patreon bonus episode from March 2023 on the second two episodes of the Second Doctor serial, "The Seeds of Death"! I'll be honest, I don't remember what happened in this one versus the one we posted last week. At some point, they go to the moon and see Ice Warriors. That's probably in this one! We probably made fun of the Travel-Mat some more! I guess you'll have to listen yourself and let us know!

We're taking a sick break this week, so there's no better time to share our Patreon bonus episode from February 2023 on the first two episodes of the Second Doctor serial, "The Seeds of Death"! It's a really weird one that we haven't stopped thinking about since. Did last week's "Kill the Moon" mean to have continuity with this serial from 1969? No idea. If it did, that would be the one good thing about it!

Well, well, well. At long last, we've found the infamous "pro-life episode" people have been waiting for us to watch. But is series 8 episode 7, "Kill the Moon", truly a pro-life episode, or is the writer simply a clown who shouldn't be allowed to get within 100,000 miles of politics? Yes and no, and yes. Don't let the title fool you, this is an episode about how you shouldn't kill the moon. We can all agree that it would be bad to do that... but what if you thought it was a trolley? What if it wasn't a trolley, but you still thought it was? Would you kill it then? This episode really makes you think, unfortunately.

Look out! There's a Man coming at you and he's Crooked! You're going to have to series 7 episode 9, "Hide", or he'll get you, or something! We're joined by friend of the show Gabby this week to discuss a spooky scary episode that... maybe... isn't so spooky scary after all? The Eleventh Doctor is here with Clara but he's not trying to kiss her, which is nice. This episode is basically like if you had two balloons, and one of them was the episode and the other was you watching the episode. Does that make sense?

We had so much fun watching the Doctor die in a TV movie last week, we decided to do it again with the 2010 New Year's special, "The End of Time Part 2"! We've already seen the first part, so everything should be easy enough to follow, probably. The Master is still hungry, he's still a skeleton, and he's still shooting lightning blasts, and suddenly he's gone. Great! That should give us about twenty minutes for clapping!
