The One about framing.  The way you frame things in your in your life greatly impacts your thoughts , emotions, and actions.    Choosing to frame things such as obstacles as learning or detours ins the right direction opens up hope and optimism as well as shift negative beliefs. As we near the end of 2023 I am honoured to be able to be able to say that it has been a great year for The Thrive podcast.  I am so grateful for all of you for listening and reviewing. Getting out of ego is a journey towards self-awareness and a more authentic and compassionate way of being. Here are a few ways to cultivate a healthier relationship with your ego: 1. Practice mindfulness: Develop the habit of observing your thoughts, feelings, and actions without judgment 2. Cultivate humility: Recognize that everyone is interconnected and that no one is superior or inferior to another. 3. Cultivate empathy and compassion: Practice putting yourself in other people's shoes and try to understand their perspectives, experiences, and emotions. 4. Let go of attachments and expectations: The ego often thrives on attaching itself to outcomes, material possessions, or social status. 5. Focus on gratitude and appreciation: Center your attention on what you already have and what you are grateful for in your life. 6. Cultivate a growth mindset: Embrace the idea that personal growth and learning are lifelong processes. 7. Engage in acts of service and kindness: Look for opportunities to contribute to the well-being of others without expecting anything in return. Remember, letting go of ego is a continuous practice that requires self-reflection and self-compassion. Be patient with yourself, as old habits and patterns may resurface from time to time. Celebrate your progress along the way and embrace the journey towards a more balanced and authentic way of being.
In Today's Episode we talk about letting go of old stories and beliefs that no longer serve you can be liberating and empowering. Here are five ways to help you release those old narratives:   1. Acknowledge and challenge the stories: Start by becoming aware of the stories you often tell yourself. Notice any recurring negative or limiting beliefs that hold you back. Once identified, challenge the validity of these stories. 2. Practice self-compassion and reframing: Offer yourself self-compassion by recognizing that everyone has imperfect pasts and self-doubts. Reframe your old stories by consciously choosing alternative, positive narratives. 3. Release attachment to the past: Accept that the past cannot be changed and that clinging to old stories may hinder your growth. Take the time to process any underlying emotions associated with those stories.   4. Embrace the power of the present moment: Train yourself to stay present and mindful. Focus on what you are experiencing right now rather than dwelling on past stories. Engage in activities that bring you joy and make you feel fully alive. 5. Surround yourself with supportive people: Seek out positive and supportive individuals who believe in your potential and encourage your personal growth. Their support and perspective can help you challenge and shed old stories. Remember, letting go takes time and patience.
