How to Be First

As we all are coming into our final years of college before graduation we discuss how UNK offers several resources and opportunities to help guide their students into the workforce and help them find a career suited for them. Some of the resources discussed in this episode include Focus 2, Handshake, Big Interview, and more.

In this episode, we discuss our experiences specifically at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. We talk about the opportunities, experiences, and resources UNK has offered us throughout our years of education and how it has impacted us individually.

Throughout this episode, we tell stories of when we have felt defeated or lost on our journey through college. By taking a deeper look into some of the struggles we have faced as first-generation students, we have found a lot of good can come out of the bad. Turning those hardships into lessons learned can make way for some of the best triumphs.

Throughout this episode, we talk about how we define being first-generation. We all further discuss and decipher our various definitions due to our personal experiences. This episode goes in-depth on the hardships, experiences, and successes we have all faced being the first generation.
