Description

Welcome to the Live Wild Podcast with IFTA nominated Irish actor, Hilary Rose. Hilary is best known for her role as Mairead in the hit film and TV series, The Young Offenders.

In her private life Hilary is an adventurer and lover of living wild and free in a modern world. Her blog www.livewild.ie was well received which led to the production of this podcast.

Hilary interviews people from all walks of life, specially those who live and work outside the normal boundaries of society, those who are passionate about what they do, what they stand for and those who think outside the box.

Note from Hilary: Welcome to the first and second season of Live Wild. I'm so excited to share it with you all. I love all things wild from the food that I eat, to the thoughts that I think, to the actions that I take in the world. Freedom is a choice and it all begins within ourselves. Sometimes all it takes is a different viewpoint or a snippet of knowledge to set your lifestyle on an entirely different but extremely satisfying path. Hopefully some of these interviews will inspire you to do just that.

As a new year begins, this special episode of Live Wild takes a moment to pause, breathe and reflect. Hosted by Hilary Rose, this end-of-year episode revisits the ten most listened-to conversations of 2025 - moments that challenged beliefs, cracked hearts open, invited rest, sparked courage and stayed with listeners long after the microphones were turned off.Rather than rushing into resolutions or what’s next, this episode honours what has already been lived. Across wellness, mental health, relationships, identity, embodiment and meaning, these ten moments capture what it means to be human in a modern world, and why slowing down to reflect is sometimes the most powerful place to begin.Whether you’ve been part of the Live Wild community from the start or you’re just discovering the podcast now, this episode is an invitation to revisit the conversations that shaped the year and resonated most deeply with listeners. The Top 10 Moments of 202510. In this powerful solo episode, Hilary Rose shares The Rest Manifesto, a deeply personal reflection on healing, nervous system recovery and reclaiming rest in a world that rewards exhaustion. This episode is not about laziness or giving up, but about rehabilitation after years of surviving, bracing and pushing through. It’s an invitation to soften, slow down and listen to the body’s wisdom.Through poetic language and honest truth, Hilary reframes fatigue as evidence of resilience, rest as an act of courage, and softness as survival reimagined. The Rest Manifesto speaks to anyone who has lived in fight-or-flight, mistaken productivity for worth, or felt disconnected from their own needs. It is a reminder that healing happens at the pace of trust, and that rest is not something to earn, but something to honour.Thank you for listening to this episode. If The Rest Manifesto resonated, you’re invited to sit with it, return to it, and take what you need from it, gently.____Key LinksWatch Hilary’s TEDx Talk here.Follow Hilary here: @thehilaryroseFollow Live Wild here: @livewildpodcastYou can read more about us or contact us at www.livewild.ieThank you for listening to the show, I hope you found it fun and inspiring.
